luckyrabbit Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I couldn't see any mark on Zoe's face in the ep at all, which is weird. Maybe they just added the lipstick bruises for the pictures? Or maybe Sarah and Emily were getting busy in between takes Gawd, I hate the way this whole thing ended. That was not Zoe's revenge, not at all. I bet they do some retcon and somehow link it to the Gillans.
Oxidizer Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Heh-heh, most probably! And you're so right. She - no, they - deserved better than that! I would've been happy for it to end with the wedding explosion, just not so quick and lazy, damnit! Why couldn't they of had flashbacks of Tracey explaining as Zoe loosend the gas canisters at gun-point or something? She should've struck a match - not use some kind of nuclear cake! Edit: That reminds me! Should I base Notes from the Underground after the explosion or the events leading up to it?
luckyrabbit Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 I vote for after the explosion. The whole storyline was so rushed. Martha and Jack's rushed engagement/wedding that was purely for plot purposes so everyone would be gathered together for "Zoe's revenge" which was done purely so that the whole 'Lost' storyline could come into play. Zoe had to be there so they could have a scapegoat to blame it on and then bring out the 'shocking twist' later on that there was an even bigger bad behind it, ie. Dennis Gillan., and we'd been blaming the wrong person all along. I just realized that this year Zoe was as much a plot device as Tracey was.
Oxidizer Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 Alrighty, after the explosion it is! Looking back at it like that, it really does **** me off. Zoe should've exacted revenge differently. I wish she struck a match - even that would've been better because then we know for sure it was her. But you're right, I reckon it'll be revealed that Dennis Gillan organised the entire thing... Zoe looked like she let out a laugh of disbelief when Cake Girl walked in and interrupted her speech. She even turned her head after Sally mentioned the gas as if it wasn't part of her plan. The new Script Producer has got to bring Zoe and/or Tracey back for one last time! DB and his crew of monkeys completely destroyed the Summer Bay stalker! Here's the short introduction of NFTU (re-named to SSOAS): It’s been a week since the Summer Bay stalker, Zoe McCallister, and her accomplice, Tracey Thompson, were believed to have perished in a gas explosion at two of the Bay’s residents’ wedding reception – despite no bodies being recovered from the wreckage. For that week five severe burns’ victims laid dormant in hospital, pending transfer to the city via helicopter for specialist’s treatment. Now it’s the morning of the day of their transfer… and something doesn’t seem right. 6 people WILL die.
luckyrabbit Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 That sounds awesome, can't f*cking wait. Looking back at it like that, it really does **** me off. Zoe should've exacted revenge differently. I wish she struck a match - even that would've been better because then we know for sure it was her. I'm glad that it's wasn't her though. Zoe would never do that, she's not suicidal, she would never intentionally put herself in harm's way. She'd want to stick around to make sure it all paid off. And, if she really did love Tracey, there is no f*cking way she'd put her in danger. But you're right, I reckon it'll be revealed that Dennis Gillan organised the entire thing... And then the Monkey's will fall over themselves congratulating each other on how smart they are to think up such a twist Zoe looked like she let out a laugh of disbelief when Cake Girl walked in and interrupted her speech. She even turned her head after Sally mentioned the gas as if it wasn't part of her plan. Poor Zoe, she get's blamed for everything. I bet nobody even looked into the possibility that she wasn't involved. The new Script Producer has got to bring Zoe and/or Tracey back for one last time! DB and his crew of monkeys completely destroyed the Summer Bay stalker! They've almost completely destroyed the whole show! The new SP sure is going to have their work cut out for them trying to get everything back on course. I suggest bringing Zoe back to kill off some of the expendable characters *cough*BradMaccaIreneTheNewKids*cough*
Oxidizer Posted October 10, 2006 Report Posted October 10, 2006 That sounds awesome, can't f*cking wait. Heh. She's not going to be like this year. I want her as Eve Jacobsen - cold-hearted and merciless. I'm glad that it's wasn't her though. Zoe would never do that, she's not suicidal, she would never intentionally put herself in harm's way. She'd want to stick around to make sure it all paid off. And, if she really did love Tracey, there is no f*cking way she'd put her in danger. You're so right. No way in hell would she commit suicide or bring Tracey down with her. She would've said her speech, ran out, locked the entrance/exit and detonate a bomb or something. And then the Monkey's will fall over themselves congratulating each other on how smart they are to think up such a twist Urgh. Makes me sick just thinking about it. Bastards. It's not even a good twist - it's ammeture and everyone saw it coming even before the wedding! Poor Zoe, she get's blamed for everything. I bet nobody even looked into the possibility that she wasn't involved. That's the SB police force for you! Useless to their very core. They've almost completely destroyed the whole show! The new SP sure is going to have their work cut out for them trying to get everything back on course. I suggest bringing Zoe back to kill off some of the expendable characters *cough*BradMaccaIreneTheNewKids*cough* Oh, I wish! Those coughed characters are the ones I hate too! Hee. I hope they bring them back sometime. They've got a lot of unfinished business to well, finish.
luckyrabbit Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Just think about what they could do with Zoe's return, particularly if it came at a time when a few of the casts contracts are up. She could kill off regulars and actually make a lasting effect. I don't think that there is one person on these boards who are satisfied with the way things turned out, they have to bring Zoe back. One thing I do find interesting about Zoe's character assassination this year is that I can see her obsessing over the fact that she was outsmarted, by Sally and Peter, to an extent where she did literally drive herself crazy. Originally she was very controlled, she had a plan and once it played out it was going to be over. That's what she told Sally when she had her hostage, the bomb at the murder mystery party was supposed to be it. If that had gone off like it had supposed to, she could've just walked away. But Peter intervened. So thanks to his meddling she had to come up with a new plan which also failed. Because of Peter. That literally would drive her nuts. So I guess Zoe's lunacy this year is rather plausible. Still 2005!Zoe > 2006!Zoe.
Oxidizer Posted October 11, 2006 Report Posted October 11, 2006 Looking at it like that, that actually explains a lot! Although I wouldn't give the monkeys credit enough to say that they probably thought of it like it - just a coincidence - and it's thanks to you we can now see it now. I've just realised OMFG Zoe is now called Emily Pery... cute! BTW, I've re-named Notes from the Underground to Six Seconds On All Sides, just thought I'd mention it now to avoid confusion.
luckyrabbit Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 I miss the old OMFG ZOE! title It captured our squeefullness perfectly. I swear to god, after tonights episode, if Jack turns out to have Zoe or Tracey's liver, I'm gonna kill a bitch. Anyone want to take a guess at that bitch's name?
Oxidizer Posted October 12, 2006 Report Posted October 12, 2006 It totally did. And now that title's gone, it seems like it's really over now. That would be freakin' funny though! Does this bitch have the initials D.B.?
