#5- The colouring is sweet, and goes with the screencaps. The text is alright, maybe different font though? Placement is nice. Cropping on first and last are very cool. The story they are telling is so sweet, and for me it was easy to understand. The brush is great, on the last one, and the B&W has excellent contrast and lighting! I'd certainly use the last icon.

#5-I find the Cropping quite nice, and the outline does it for me. The Story is simple and easy to see. The Text Size and Font are very well Chosen and placed well. Nice and Simple, it does it for me. Although I do love #1 my Vote goes to #5

#1 - The cropping and colouring are both gorgeous, and the whole feel of the icons are really nice and warm. Plus I think the story that's being told is clear, which is great, and is complimented really well by the images.

1- Like someone said, there's a warm feeling to them, and you can really get and go along with the story. and I really like how they've used masks on all of them, and then with the text and all.

I am voting for set 5. I feel that they tell the story subtly without spelling it out. The images are clear and crisp, the cropping is great and the border works well on all 3 avatars. I really like the first icon especially as the cropping, colouring and composition are fantastic. If there was any constructive criticism that I could give is would be about the positioning of the text, particularly in the 2nd and 3rd icons. Apart from that they are great!

I vote for set 1 :: I absolutely love the coloring on them, I think they have a nice warm vibe to them and the text goes amazingly well with the icons. They tell the story very nicely.

I am voting for set #5 for the reasons that I like story and I understand it more thatn set #1. Set #5 has nice colouring which fits well with the choosen pictures. I think the pictures choosen fit the storyline well and I like the font and how it carries on to each icon.

Heres the enteries for LIMS challenge #5. Basically enterants had to choose a celebrity and create the three icons about them. The first had to be a screencap, the second from a photoshoot and the third form an appearence.

So now voting. Please vote for the the two sets you like least. Remember no votes will be counted if they simply state they do not like the person. You need to discuss techniques used, colouring, cropping etc.

#4 - The colouring is dull in the first icon, the brush used on the avatar doesn't go that well maybe it would have been better for them to use a colour that's already in the image?

The second icon is way to bright, which in my opinion lowers the quality of the icon. It's lacking contrast, and the colouring isn't rich like it could be.

The third icon is too far away, i don't like the cropping, and you can't see their face that well but i don't think this is down to the cropping this is down to the colouring. I don't like the colouring.

#1 - This set lacks diversity. They have used to same texture for all three icons, where as every other set all three icons are different. The white thing/s covering Ashley's face i don't like the icon looks overdone like they have tried too hard to make it "complete."

They are all the same colouring it seems, and the same style which is lazingness in my opinion. The colouring isn't that great, it's not as vibrant as it could be.
