aejdude Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Sorry in advance for my post! 1 - I would comment on the colouring but im struggling to see whether anything has actually been done to the three avatars in the way of colouring. They just look like cropped pictures to me. 7 - Lacks originality, people have done this style to death! Same texture/brush of whatever on every icon so all three lack diversity. Looks to be same colouring on all three, and the colouring isn't nice it's pretty bland. Also it says my girl on the third icon when they are blatantly two guys. However, i like sets 2 4 and 6.

Also the last avatr in this set is very plain and it is not a very good text which has been used in it. I do like sets 3,4,5,6 Well done whoever .........

Jess Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 Okay, this is so hard and I feel like such a bitch! #1 - As others have said, not a lot has been done to them; they just look like cropped pictures. And I don't really get what's going on with Basil Brush in the last one. (I have nothing against Basil Brush, but there's a time and a place...) #8 - Compared to the others, I don't know, they don't look so sleek and professional. Maybe it's the programme that's been used, I'm not sure. I also don't think that the three gel together well as a set, if that makes sense. On the first one, I don't really like the texture. The second one is nice, but unfinished. But there's potential there. I don't think the text looks right on the third one, or the colouring. I'm sorry, I feel like such a bitch - I suck at giving constructive criticism...I either sound like a suck-up or like I'm laying into someone, and I don't really want to do either! You've all done a great job, but I like #5 and #6, in particular. Great job, guys!

It doesn't look as profesh as the others...the first icon has a random flare on it =/...on the second the skin is too blurred...the eyebrows have been blurred as well! The colouring on the text is ... the wrong colour.

-Karen- Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 I hate doing this so I will apologise now #1 - At the risk of sounding like a parrot, I think this set needs more doing to it. The lack of contrast and colouring is evident in all three icons and in the second one in particular Brad looks a bit ‘waxwork’ due to this. The third one with Basil Brush is.. erm…. interesting but I am thinking the icon maker is possibly created this for the comedy factor? #8 - The first one is a bit bland and is not helped by the lens flare and the dark fading on the edges. The cropping is OK but the picture needs more intensity and contrast. The edging is OK on the second one and I like how the red heart matches Adam’s hat but again the faces lack contrast (I know I am starting to sound like a stuck record here!). I am not too keen on the blending on the third one and the font and colour don’t really work.
angelgirl Posted February 20, 2007 Report Posted February 20, 2007 #1-Sorry but it seems just like cropped pictures and they seem very dull. #8#the 1st avatar is too dark and dul,the glow thing on the left covers the guys face.The 2nd avatar is nice but the heart seems a bit too red and out of place and the 3rd avavtar th blening is very rough and on the edge and the colouring is a bit boring and the text is totaly out of place and the olouring is not the best,sorry Luv Jo xxx
