sevenpuddings Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Seconding Katie's query about some sets recieving no votes? Favourite Three 1st: Set 7 - Such a unique perspective about a relationship. The colouring is beautiful on all three icons, and the cropping + text on the third is stunning. 2nd: Set 5 - The cropping is amazing on the all three icons, and I love the mixture of different texts on them too. 3rd: Set 10 - I love the text used. The colouring is wonderful, nice contrast, and the black border around all three just finishes them wonderfully! Least Favourite Three 1st: Set 2 - I'm not really a fan of the colouring on any of the icons. Purple just doesn't suit Moulder or Scully. 2nd: Set 8 - the first two icons seem to lack saturation, and the green tinge to their hair isn't nice at all. 3rd: Set 9 - all three images lack in contrast and saturation. I like how the first two are similar in layout, but feel the third lets them down.

Jen Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Most favourite chpices: 1st - Set 7. The colouring on all three icons is great and I like the position of the text on the third. The use of the simple brushes on the first two adds a nice touch without overpowering the actual icon. 2nd - Set 5. I like the cropping and matching text on all three icons. I also like the dark feel to them. 3rd - Set 8. I really like the cropping on all three icons, especially the 2nd. The colouring is nice and light without being to pale. However, I don't think the text was needed on the 1st. Least favourite choices: 1st - Set 9. The choice of pics is good for the first two, but I don't really like the little cropped faces on the 3rd. Just looks a bit squashed. 2nd - Set 4. The cropping and colouring is good, but the position of the text isn't good and slightly hard to read. 3rd - Set 2. I like the variation among the icons, however the 2nd is a bit too blue and I don't think the 1st needs the brush over the top.

I also love that the text used on them doesnt overwhelm them. 2nd - Set#11:: The Black & White for this set really works for me. I feel as though there is this ansgty love/hate thing going on and its really shown with the contrast. And because there is no text they dont seem overwhelmed. 3rd - Set#3::The different angles used for cropping on each, it really makes the set different. I also really like the simplicity, the colouring is not overbearing, and any texts or brushes used on the first two would just be too much! -- Least favourite three 1st - Set #2:: I really like the different cropping on all three icons, however the colouring seems a little off. Perhaps working with more natural colours would achieve better results. 2nd - Set #9:: I like the continuity of this set, however it looks like the pictures havent had any colouring or anything done to them. Even a little more brightness/contrast would help improve that. 3rd - Set #6:: I like the choice of pictures, showing varying emotions and such, however the colouring again seems to be a little too pink/purplish on all the icons. They also seem a bit too dark.

The text, the cropping and the colouring all just blend. Not too over done and not too under. Perfect balance. 2nd - Set#7 - Such a unique perspective about a relationship. The colouring is beautiful on all three icons, and the cropping + text on the third is stunning. Ditto. The colouring is really gorgeous. 3rd - Set#1 - The colouring on the second and third icons is beautiful and the entire classic simple look suits them all really well. I think the cropping on the first icon could have been slightly better if it was to one side a bit more but other than that, great job. Least favourite 1st - Set #5 - The colouring seems to contrast too much, especially in the second one, and I don’t really like the brush on the last. But I do like the cropping. 2nd - Set #6 - The layout is great but I think the colouring has made the skin appear too pink. 3rd - Set #9 - I’m not fond of the layout or the text in the last one. I think it might be better suited if it was the same format of the first two.
dsingles Posted June 8, 2007 Report Posted June 8, 2007 Most favourite choices: 1st= 3 I chose this as my favourite cause these images are simple and gorgeous, the colouring is ace and the softness of the av's really capture the emotion between this pairing. 2nd= 5 I know this type of Av has been made before but I have always loved it the cropping is a little harsh but the text positioning and font is just excellent (please tell me where the font's come from obviously when the competition is over) 3rd= 11 I haven't got a clue who the images are of but I love the style and the colouring and the contrast really capture the mood and the brushes/textures used are in complete taste. Least favourite choices: 1st= 9 The cropping is good but the border's are a little too bold and I'm not keen on the text 2nd= 8 I love the choice of images but I'm not keen on the colouring. 3rd= 4 The image choices are good but the text is unreadable and I'm not a lover of the swirly texture on the last one. Cerise Posted June 10, 2007 Report Posted June 10, 2007 MOST FAVORITE CHOICES #3: There's something about this I find really nice, the Coloring is aesome #10: Love the text and coloring #6: I HATE Panda but love the style LEAST FAVORITE CHOICES #9: All the Icons look dull and I don't like the Text and the last Icon looks dodgy. #2: There's just something not right with this though i love the second Icon #8: The greenish Coloring dosnt work on any of the Icons
