*Maggie* Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 I remember that scene as well, it was incredibly powerful. No words, just raw fear. Incredible acting. Last night moved me as well. In the Diner when she was comforting Kirsty, who was speaking of her disbelief that she would not be seeing Kane again, Irene looked wistful and I could not help thinking that she was thinking of Barry, she had that "I know exactly what you are feelin' darl" look on her face, one of total empathy. She knows where to draw from when she is digging deep.
Lesley Bee Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 ^ Can't wait to see these scenes with Irene and Kirsty. I love Irene to bits, she is such a warm, endearing character. I just can't imagine anyone not liking her, she just has such a warmth and likeability about her, not to mention the fact that she is a first class actress
I Love Sam Posted June 19, 2008 Report Posted June 19, 2008 All the emotional scenes with Irene this week have been very good. She makes you feel that she will give you a hug if things are tough, she is very warm and kind and understanding. I would like something nice to happen for Irene as she is always helping out everyone else.

The emotional scene's this last week have been excellent, but you almost take them for granted with Lynne, as she always comes up with the goods. Last night moved me as well. Jonno Posted June 20, 2008 Report Posted June 20, 2008 I think the mercury poisoning story was the highlight in recent years, and it was great. I also thought Lynne was good in the scenes when Ken die, the split with Paris, the custody battle, the troubles with Nick, anything involving Angie or Diana, in fact in most anything. Thy take her for granted as she is so good. She supports the kids so well, and makes them work , and there was an article where Isobel Lucas and Amy Mizzi said when they 1st joined the cast that they loved working with her as she made it easy for them and helped them. When Dan died I noticed how real her reaction was, as she was visibly shaking and this was just how someone I know in real life reacted when someone died. That is very hard to do, and only really good actors can do it convincingly. There are a few others in the cast who can, but maybe not as well.
Zippy Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 The Kens death episodes are in the video section on the main site - they are excellent and well worth a viewing or two. I don't think the Corey ones are there yet, nor the ones when Eve was persecuting Irene. Hopefully they will be at some point.
Genevieve Posted June 21, 2008 Report Posted June 21, 2008 I have seen those, they are really good. The Corey episodes were in my opinion the best thing she has done though. I am enjoying the Irene and KK reunion, its really quite like old times seeing them in The Beach House again. Its absolutely gripping drama, and I am loving every minute.

I don't remember Eve going after Irene, I must have missed that bit, has any one got a clip or the episode?

I don't remember Eve going after Irene, I must have missed that bit, has any one got a clip or the episode? I think Zippy means Eve Smith, Kens ex wife, not Eve Jacobson the stalker, Eve Smith was mentally unstable and tried to convince Nick that Irene was stealing them all from her when he first arrived, as initially he was not keen on Irene and his Dad getting together. Irene had to rescue Nick or he rescued her or both, and they ended up locked in the bathroom. Nick looked very young, and Kirsty was only 14 in those episodes as well, it was such a long time ago. I watched the Ken episodes again too , seeing Irene scrubbing around in the weeds and water, I can't remember, and I should really, did she ever find that ring?
Taz Posted June 24, 2008 Report Posted June 24, 2008 I don't remember if she found it or not, I remeber Hayley finding hers. Come to think of it did Irene find hers in a fish or something like that? Kirsty looked so young in those episodes, and yet she is all grown up and married now, in real life as well as on the show, time flies. Nick looked about 12. Irene looks the same as ever.
