claire_louise Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Really?? Wow, that's strange! I work with people who's birthdays are real close to Christmas and they hate it! Glad someone likes it though, it would kinda suck to get the short straw like that. There are good things about having a birthday on Christmas Eve. It makes it doubly exciting and special, and if your friends and family treat it like two separate occasions (as mine do) then you don't end up with combined presents. My family have always made my birthday a special occasion in itself, so we kind of forget that it's Christmas the next day. The bad points are that you don't have anything to celebrate during the year, and the fact that everyone is so busy makes hard to organise a proper celebration.
princess_in_pink Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 School officially closed today. Well technically it closed on Friday, because it was the last teaching day. These 3 days was an arts project thing. Then we headed of to Pizza Hut for a Secondary School Reunion, Which was Fantastic coz I haven't seen my friends in a long time. Also we where there to celebrate 2 of my friends 17th birthday!
Jess Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 ^^ Ooohh...cool! You're from London, right? Schools there seem to finish really late. I have a friend who lives in Balham and he doesn't finish until today! I finished last Friday... I'm happy 'cos in 9 days I get to see my two best friends - and I haven't seen them for 4 months!

Guevara01 Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 I'm happy, because my nan and grandad have just arrived. They're staying for Christmas, and my parents have finally let me put all the presents under the tree. I feel very Christmassy right about now. Plus: funniest thing ever. I saw some 9-10yr olds do part of the nativity scene the other day. The little girl who was playing the innkeeper was supposed to open the door to the Shepards and say "Mary and Joseph are in the stable around the back of the inn". Instead she stomped across the floor opened the door to the Shepards and said: "What?? Lost your sheep!??" in a very angry voice, then she went "ROUND THE BACK!!". It was hilarious xxx
Di Posted December 21, 2006 Report Posted December 21, 2006 Oh wow, hope you have an greeat time with your nan and grandad. I'm drugged up to eyeballs, with antiboitics and two kinds of painkillers, for my infection. I'm so happy cause I'm going to the respite centre. That Tom goes to, chrismas party. Didn't think I'd make it after last night. Even if I manage a hr I'm happy
