bradyell Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 July '93? Ellen, I was born in that year! & there you were, partying to Take That! Shocking! Oooh another fact, '95, my sister's birth year Not trying to say anything here ... I am very jealous of you! *feels very old* I was doing more than partying to them I probably cried more that night than you (at a month old) did I'm happy because i started a new job yesterday and it's been awesome Lot's of gorgeous little people....By the way, I'm a nursery nurse! I haven't just landed a job in Oz with the munchkins!! Although.....that'd be kinda cool
HighwayUnicorn Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Rightio, okay ... I am very, very happy. Am I seriously the only Brit in the younger generation looking forward, genuinely looking forward, to the Royal Wedding tomorrow? William is Diana's son I feel as though I should watch it for Britain! I don't have any friends interested in it or anything. I'm not even a Royalist but Diana was amazing (& killed by Charles, just gonna throw my opinion in there). But we're British & we do things like this really, really well & amazingly. I was watching the news the other night & people from America are even coming over to Britain just for the Royal Wedding! & then they asked why Brits are so reserved? Then that really made me think, yeah, why are we? We should be proud! But yeah, I am really looking forward to it. Setting my alarm for 8am too

Do you enjoy it? Give it three years & I'll be teaching children ... finally! & yeah, I know I am gonna cry when I see them. My sister has even said she'd abandon me as soon as I start crying because she knows I will & she's going to be very embarrassed!
Miranda Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Oh, I'd forgotten about the Royal Wedding But remembered it now. I'm happy because, hopefully, we might if it all works out, be going to see Thor on Saturday I can't remember the last time we went to the cinema. It all depends on if my mum can babysit, we can get the tickets, we can get the right showing to fit in with everyone. But I really hope we can go I'm all excited (in case you hadnt' guessed). It looks like the perfect film cos I can sit and gawp at Chris Hemsworth and my husband can sit and gawp at Natalie Portman. Result!
charmed60 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I did contemplate emailing that to you actually. I was like, oh my gosh, Orpington! You'll know it! It's very easy for me to get lost there. Seriously I was so embarrassed but it was hilarious. I texted my dad & got him to phone me & I said to him, 'I am spectacularly lost.' & on the opposite side of the road, there was this guy who was doing up his show lace & smiled at me. One of those dodgy smiles like ... suckerrrr! That sounds so funny! I was actually there yesterday! Oh and btw I'm the same about the Royal Wedding. I loved Diana and it breaks my heart she's not here to see her boy get married. William and Kate seem like a lovely couple and it's not every day you get a Royal Wedding! I'm not a royalist either but feel we should try and be proud of our culture
HighwayUnicorn Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Oh, I'd forgotten about the Royal Wedding But remembered it now. Go & hang your head in shame my dear girl! They've only been talking about it on every channel for the past four days! Ooooh, & I hope you get to go to the cinema. Me & my sister mostly go together. So when we go as a whole family now that we're older, it's a lot nicer. & you appreciate more. My parents always took us when we were younger but now we're older, we're into different films. Can you imagine me trying to take my dad to see Twilight? But we go to the theatre & spend quality time together. & when we go to the cinema, it's usually to see Harry Potter. Because, I can then explain what happened in the film to my mum & dad when they start to lose some of it. Handy to have a family member read the books hey? Saying that, my mum falls asleep in the cineam. & she fell asleep on the fith film. When she woke up, Bellatrix was on the screen. & my mum said, 'Oh my God. What's Amy Winehouse doing in Harry Potter?' Oh and btw I'm the same about the Royal Wedding. I loved Diana and it breaks my heart she's not here to see her boy get married. William and Kate seem like a lovely couple and it's not every day you get a Royal Wedding! I'm not a royalist either but feel we should try and be proud of our culture Yay! I was seriously contemplating going into hiding because everyone I have spoken to think I'm mad because I'm going to watch it. We always do things like this amazingly well & it would be spectacular. Is it officially confirmed that Kate will do the same as Diana & not 'obey' William? Because that's right in it's own way. But yeah, I really am looking forward to it
Miranda Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Oh, I was kind of joking when I said I'd forgotten about the Royal Wedding We are going round to my mum's and having a special meal after we've watched it. But Thor I so hope we can go. I hated Chris Hemsworth in Home and Away, but now he's actually playing a man and not a school boy I like him. He was so good in Star Trek.
Zetti Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I want to watch Thor as well! I might wait though till my bf gets back and go with him next week Chris looks so hot in the pics I have seen I cant wait for the Royal Wedding I have been like a little kid these past few days gearing myself up!
Miranda Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 I suppose you lot can't remember Diana and Charles's wedding can you? That was a national event, far bigger than this one
