Frankie Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 I'm living a childhood dream tomorrow and visiting the ITV Granada Studios in Manchester as part of my Research and Development unit where I have to create a company profile - and I was surprised that 3sixtymedia agreed to it! I'm going to interview the Director of Northern Resources for ITV programming (basically he runs the studios), and will hopefully get a tour of the site (they stopped the public ones years ago), which has been home to Coronation Street, Question of Sport, Soapstar Superstar, University Challenge, The Royle Family and tons of other shows. Yay! Wow, thats awesome Dan! hope you have an awesome time. You get to tour the Corrie studio/set. If you get onto the Corrie set...I want Jack and Vera pics
Pierced Musie Posted April 23, 2007 Report Posted April 23, 2007 I did it! I made the bag for my first swap! At first I was bummed out because I didn't have any fabric to make the bag, other than the oilcloth w/ coffee beans, but then I realized that I bought 3 lengths of curtain last Monday, on sale - purple, black and off-white/cream. The cream curtain proved to be a success and soon I was setting up the sewing machine. Bag. Please excuse the horrible table cloth. Close up. Inside pocket for cell phone etc Label, over inside pocket. That bag seriously rocks! I think you've managed to find yet another artistic talent (the other being photography) !
lollipop_lover11 Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I'm happy because I have tomorrow off!
summer_bay_rules Posted April 24, 2007 Report Posted April 24, 2007 I'm happy because this morning I got my braces off! I've had train track braces for the past 2 and a half years, and finally they're off!!!

If you get onto the Corrie set...I want Jack and Vera pics Well I did indeed walk down the famous cobbles! No Jack and Vera though - Eileen walked past with a Jacket Potato and said hello to us though! I was even allowed to take pics around the studios - which was surprising considering that there was evidence of a HUGE spoiler on the Street set....all I'll say is police tape and flowers..... I also had a wander around the set of the Jeremy Kyle show, saw them constructing sets for Blue Murder, went on the set of ITV Play and saw various other edit suites, studio galleries etc. Hint of spoiler on far left... The large photo placed directly opposite the fake viaduct on the Street set, so that you don't see a studio wall alongside Coronation Street Jeremy Kyle Show Price is Right One of the ITV Play sets - think he said it was called Glitterball Corrie Brewery Van and other prop cars Constructing a set for 'Blue Murder' with Caroline Quentin Very sexy gallery! We were given a big Corrie cast poster by the receptionist, what I'll do with it I don't know as I don't watch Corrie!
Pierced Musie Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 1. I did another full days work at Connexions and managed to borrow the floppy disk drive, so I can work on the project tomorrow. Means I can leave early on Friday to see sister off before she goes off to the weekend. 2. My download is at 31.1% and going even faster! 3. I got my period again! Seven days early again! That is now the third period I have had in the last three months. Never happened before. Plus I have realized, after spending more money on make-up and clothes in the last few months, that the meds I am on for PCOS are working. They are taking away the extra male hormones in my body and replacing them with female hormones. Woohoo!
MarMar Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 I'm so happy for you, Musie! Especially about the PCOS!
claire_louise Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 That's fab Jess. You might want to start watching your bank balance though!
Pierced Musie Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 I'm trying my hardest to save the cash, but failing miserably because of my new found need for make-up. Although this morning was chaos. Botched my foundation so had to redo it, then the mascara smudged and then I just could not apply my lipstick with my lip piercings in. Nearly missed the bus because of this.
Traceve Posted April 25, 2007 Report Posted April 25, 2007 I'm happy because I am allowed to redecorate my room! Finally!
