MarMar Posted May 10, 2007 Report Posted May 10, 2007 I'm happy because I walked today! Well kind of... I stood up, leaning heavily on the physio and took two steps before lying on my back the rest of the day but I'm feeling very proud of myself. I've also cashed my car insurance in and sold my rig so I have a lovely £2000 cheque to be cashed tomorrow plus I'm getting full pay from work and not able to spend so the travelling fund us really starting to grow again. That's über-good news, Kat! Things are looking a bit brighter for me to today - after crying for hours on end yesterday, I've actually smiled today. Looking forward to going to Germany tomorrow and finishing one of my exams today.

claire_louise Posted May 12, 2007 Report Posted May 12, 2007 My rents got back from holiday and bought me pressies. Well deserved, I might add - the dog has been sick the whole time they've been away!
Di Posted May 17, 2007 Report Posted May 17, 2007 Tom arrived home with a piece of paper, on Wednesday with his real mock grade results. Not sure if it happened to others too? They had marked his papers wrong. He did infact have a A* instead of a A they had first gievn him. Some other awesome news,Toms made the finales in Blackpool Yay . They will look after him. If I did go I'd have to make my own arangement where to stay etc...Tom siad no other parents are Going, and he don't want me too anyway... Tom went to Leeds a couple of weeks ago, to compete in semi finale for The Yorkshire team. Doing the Slalom-Power which is organised by the Disabillity Sport England .Tom won it 9 seconds bfore second place (< his best mate I might add) crossed the finish line. What makes it more amazing, Tom was only asked to do it as someone had dropped out at the last minute, his second weeek at OP too. He only had a couple of chances to practice the moves, as he'd only at OP twice a week and he's never done any thing like this before. I'm so prod of him.. Go Tom!!!
