Chapter 8

Matilda’s P.O.V – The Next Day

“So sis I hear congratulations are in order” I hear my Robbie’s voice say I look up to see him walking through the door with Tasha and Ella,

“Thanks Robbie” I say smiling standing up from where I sat next to Lucas

“Auntie Mattie” Ella says running over to me

“hey princess how’s my favourite little girl” I say picking her up

“I’m good auntie Mattie” she says smiling at me

“that’s good have you been behaving for mummy and daddy?” I ask her sitting back down next to Lucas pulling Ella down onto my knee,

“Yeah” she says smiling angelically at me,

“More like a little devil” I hear Robbie mumble to Tasha

“shush Robbie you know she’s a little angel when she wants to be” Tasha says laughing,

“Hey sorry we are late congratulations” I hear Martha’s voice I look up to see her rushing through the door Mathew in her arms,

“Lucas will you take him a moment” Martha says passing Lucas their 6month old baby Matthew who was sleeping peacefully,

“awww look isn’t he beautiful Ella” I say softly as I look down at Matthew in Lucas arms,

“Yeah” she says “Auntie Mattie when are you and Uncle Lucas going to have a baby” she says everyone in the room stops in silence

“Ella don’t ask questions like that” I hear Tasha say

“Its ok it will happen one day” I say sighing as I coo down at baby Matthew

“Oh my god please she’s already at it” Henry says,

“Oh shut up” I say looking at my twin where he is sat with Jess who seems awfully quiet,

“Well he has a point Matilda and we all know what you and Lucas are like” Jack says.

Jessica’s P.O.V - 2 hours later

“I’m going to go upstairs I’m a bit tired” I say softly to Matilda as we stand in the kitchen while everyone else chats in the other room,

“You ok Jess you seemed awfully quiet tonight” Matilda says concern evident in her voice she was always thinking about others, but well I didn’t want to tell her why I was so quiet I mean I had so many things on my mind, I mean how could I tell Matilda that I was jealous of her that I wanted me and Henry to be just like her and Lucas, and well that wasn’t the only thing bothering me to top everything off I was two weeks late.
