Mez83 Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 Me too! I don't see the need to have very very expensive things. I know I'm getting something that cost's a lot from Joe, but I also know that he got it from his work where he pays cost + 17% so he got a decent discount which made me feel better!
-Emily- Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 *****Leona Lewis 'A moment like this' CD single***** Hopefully it will be Christmas #1. She deserves it soooooooo much!!!
aejdude Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 /\ Hopefully it wont. That is alot. I've spent a bit on Jackie and she's spent a bit on me , but i haven't got that much, and i wouldn't ask for that much either because i would feel guilty that i'm eating up all of my parent's money buy getting me all those things. You can have a nice christmas without having so many material things, like just being together with your partner at christmas. I'll stop now, thrown in my two cents!
aejdude Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 Because she stole Kelly's song and i think Kelly sings it better to be honest. *drags thread back on topic*
aejdude Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 Well any Leona fan would say that, especially her "#1 fan" . Anyway, we'll continue this discussion in the X factor thread. *finds the x factor thread*
xGlowingAngelx Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 OH my god, it's only just hit me that it's Christmas Day 1 WEEK TOMORROW!! I better get a shift on to get those presents. I can't believe that....
Pierced Musie Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 I know that kids obviously get a lot more than people my age (20), but I can honestly say I never got as much as some people on here seem to. I'd get one big present and then a lot of smaller things. I don't see the need for loads of expensive stuff - if you get it all in one go, what are you going to get next year?! That is exactly what we used to have. One big present and little mini gifts. I honestly don't know what the hell I am getting this year. Ma asked me to make up a list of things I wanted and then she would surprise me with what she actually buys. So no clue at all. I just hope that my Uncle, who stays for a few days over Xmas, doesn't do what he did last year. After being told not to buy for us, he only went and gave each of us gift cards along with token gifts. I got a big book of photography and a gift card from him. He has been told not to buy this year but he never listens ! Christmas is about being with family and enjoying it (and the food of course!). I grew up with that attitude and when I have kids, I will teach them the exact same thing.
Mez83 Posted December 17, 2006 Report Posted December 17, 2006 So will I. I love Christmas because it means that I get my whole family (and Joe this year) in one room. It's always hilarious. We always have a fantastic day, we eat, drink and then enjoy our presents. And maybe have an afternoon nap because we've eaten so much...
