DinerLandlord Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 I loooove a Southern U.S. drawl!!! Think Sawyer from Lost, it sends me weak at the knees I don't like all American accents though, I hate the whiny New York ones, and the California accent is just awful, like the guys from Laguna Beach - yuck! I like Aussie accents sometimes, but I'm not familiar with the variations. I think I like the more country sounding ones, or the more kind of common accents. I'm undecided on Scottish accents, sometimes they're hot, sometimes not. English accents are fine as long as their not too posh sounding - except for Prince Harry I love his accent, but then again I just love him in general. A soldier and a Prince, it just doesn't get better than that. I HATE Welsh and New Zealand accents, sorry to anyone I'm offending by saying that. As for Irish accents, I can distinguish so many being Irish myself so I don't know where to start. Dublin accents are an absolute no-no for me, especially really common ones or really D4 ones(poncy posh accents). I really don't like Northern accents, but strangely I do like Donegal accents. I can barely understand Cork or Kerry accents so they just leave me confused. I LOVE Mayo and Galway accents, they're my fave!!!

Not D4, but not North Sider either... Kinda City Centre accent... That's my one anyway... even though I've never lived there myself. *cough* *puts on Galway accent to fit in with locals*
*Dawny* Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 I love most accents from all over the globe, but a brummie & Liverpudlian accents are really awful on my delicate ears. Im Welsh and aint that fussed on the North Wales accents but South wales accent is softer. My accent is now a soft Wales with a Scottish tilt, as ive lived here now for 5 years I love Australian and American accents
Lesley Bee Posted March 21, 2008 Report Posted March 21, 2008 I love Australian, Irish and Newcastle accents there's also something very about Thierry Henry and Jean Christophe Novelli's accents

There's a young male teacher in my school from Galway and his accent is amazing. I also love Neil Delamere's accent but I think that's more to do with him than a midlands accent. I love the Cork lilt - its so endearing! I hate Dublin accents full stop. Especially Nort Soide. It completely does my head in and being from Meath, there are loads in my school who put on this accent thinking they're from Dublin. So stupid. Also D4s are quite hilarious. I did grinds last week in the Institute and the conversations are brill. All credit cords, and the Dort, and the orts degree. It just makes me laugh! James McAvoy's accent is possibly the sexiest thing ever. Also as accents go, the Australian one is pretty amazing too
Guest [x]whacko[x]jen[x] Posted April 10, 2008 Report Posted April 10, 2008 I've been to new zealand and the accents there are pretty cool. I went when I was about 8 and ever since people say I say 'finished' like the kiwi accent.
