Chapter 20

Matilda’s P.O.V

“Please Callan don’t hurt me” I cry tears stinging my eyes as I look on in fear as he moves closer to me lowering his pants, I had to do something and fast before it was to late, looking from Callan to the window I know that I have to act now and that this was my only option,

“It has to be this way Matilda you didn’t want to be mine willingly” he says starring straight at him I slam my knee into his groin not wasting time I jump up and kick at the window not having my hands to help me they was still tightly bound by the rope wrapped around my wrists, kicking once more at the window it shatters I quickly leap out of it falling onto the ground beneath ignoring the pain in my ankle from the fall and the blood dripping from my cuts I pick myself up and run as fast as I can wanting to get out of the bush and out on the open road as soon as possible, its then that I notice that Callan has not taken my mobile from my jean pocket it is still there I had to get my hands free so that I can ring Ric and get help I’m sure they are out looking for me surely if I ring they will be able to find me,

“Mattie come back” I hear Callan shout I look back to see him stumbling slowly from the building, running as fast as I can I head further into the bush land.

Ric’s P.O.V

“In here quick” Tony yells pointing to the small old building in the distance,

“wait dad if they are in their he could be armed we don’t want him to shoot, be quiet we are going to have to check this out slowly and carefully, get down and quietly make your way by me and then we will break in” Jack says motioning for us to get behind him, slowly we make our way towards the building,

“look” I say motioning towards the blood stained broken window,

“right now!” Jack shouts pointing at the open door,

“she’s been here” Lucas says picking up Matilda’s torn jacket from the floor,

“The blood on the window its not dry they are still near come on lets split up we will find her quicker” Tony yells.

Matilda’s P.O.V

“Matilda” I hear him yell but his cry is getting fainter I must have kicked him pretty hard if I was outrunning him this well even though I was exhausted and feeling dazed I just wanted to sleep but I knew I couldn’t I had to keep going I had to run, knowing that I needed to ring someone I quickly turned behind a bush rushing a little further and hiding in a large bush, waiting until I could see him run past and disappear into the distance, I rub my hands together as hard as possible trying to rub at the rope to loosen it so that I can slip my hand out to get to my mobile.

Ric’s P.O.V

“Come on this way” I say rushing back outside with Tony and Lucas, my phone starts to ring

“Wow you actually got signal out here” Lucas says,

“Oh my god it could be Matilda” I cry reaching quickly into my pocket, looking at the screen I see her name flashing, pressing answer I quickly speak “Matilda is that you are you ok where are you” I say quickly,

“Ric quick I’m in the bush somewhere, Callan just ran one way but he can be back anyminute I’m hiding in a bush about 10 minutes or so from a really old building” she says her voice raspy,

“Mattie are you ok, which way did you run from the building we are there now tell us now and we will come and find you don’t hang up ok” I say trying to stay calm for her sake,

“well I jumped out of the window and then just ran straight, quick Ric before he comes back, he’s drugged me with something, and I’m bleeding my ankle hurts just please get to me” she cries,

“we’re on our way, quick Tony, this way” I say as I start running towards the direction that Matilda said she had run.

“Ric” I hear her scream as I see her stumbling down the hill towards us,

“Oh my god Matilda” I cry running to hear and embracing her in my arms I hold her tightly not wanting to let go,

“Ric you got to help me” she cries weakly before passing out in my arms,

“Mattie come on wake up” I say crying as I hold onto her tightly, I lift her into my arms,

“quick Tony we got to get her to hospital” I say running with her in my arms.

Yay, Ric's her hero! Hope she's alright, at least she's not with Callan anymore.

Yes! *Punches air* Reuinted at last... poor Mattie, I was so worried she wasn't going to get out of there, but by the sounds of it shes more than capable, maybe even knows a bit of kung-fu... she was kicking all over the place to escape! But I'm so glad she did! Man, I was sitting on the edge of my seat reading it, hoping Ric would find her before the evil Callan.. and he did...now I just hope she's okay... and Henry got a mention... even more love for you Jackie! I cannot wait for more!
