Really good! Please update it soon. I like Ric and Matilda together, they were really close friends towards the beginning of their friendship and this seemed to die out when Cassie and Matilda became good friends.

Chapter 21

Ric’s P.O.V

“Mattie come on please wake up its ok now nothing’s going to happen to you again I promise” I whisper softly holding her close to me as Lucas wraps the small bandages from the cars first aid kit around the gashes in her arms that where bleeding she must of smashed that window that we saw and jumped out, her tiny wrists looking painfully sore from what I can only presume is rope burn, “how long now Tony we need to get her to the hospital” I say looking up at him as he drives down the road from the bush,

“Not long I’m driving as fast as I possibly can without breaking the law” he says stepping on the gas slightly.

“Oh Mattie, is she ok what happened to her, did you find him” Beth screams running towards us as we enter the hospital holding Matilda in my arms,

“We didn’t get him yet but he can’t be far away Jack and the team are out looking for him now, we are not sure what’s happened to her she past out seconds after we found her” Tony says softly pulling her into his arms,

“Right quick this way lets get her in her room and check her over she what has happened” Rachel says as she rushes over with an orderly, I lay her down gently on the trolley keeping hold of her hands as she gets moved into a room down the corridor,

“Can you just move back Ric we need to see to her” Rachel says softly looking at me, reluctantly I step back slightly,

“she’ll be ok Ric she’s a fighter” Cassie says resting her hand on my shoulder

“Can everyone who’s not family clear the room please” Rachel says looking over at us,

“please can I stay I can’t leave her” I say quickly not wanting to step foot outside of the room not wanting to let her out of my sight,

“It’s ok Rachel he can stay” Beth says, I look at her thankfully glad that she is allowing me to stay in the room I really couldn’t leave her.

“When will she wake up, what’s happened to her?” Beth asks Rachel as she finishes the exams on Matida I rush to her side taking her hand in my own as she lays in the bed hooked up to an IV drip,

“Well she’s been drugged with the date rape drug, so the sleep will be an effect of that and also she’s suffering from exhaustion and dehydration, hopefully she should be waking up shortly” Rachel says softly

“drugged” I say stuttering as the reality of what Rachel said hit me and everything starts sinking in once more,

“Do you think he raped her” Beth says I watch as the tears start to fall down her face,

“we can’t be sure yet, but she is bruised and off course as she’s been injected with the drug it is looking likely I’d like you’re permission to carry out a rape exam” Rachel answers,

“Yeah” Beth says simply nodding as she breaks down in Tony’s arms, as me and Lucas look on tears in our eyes.

Poor ric and beth! CAnt imagine how they would be feeling!
