That was great. I really felt for mattie, i mean it can't be comfortable being prodded there and i hope that nothing did happen with Callan.

Sorry about the long wait ive been heaps busy with assignments and everything at the moment.

Chapter 23

“Come on Mattie you have to eat something” mum says as she sits by my bed and watches as I prod at the food in front of me,

“I can’t” I say weakly fighting back the tears,

“Matilda come on your weak you haven’t eaten for days now come on please eat you need your strength” mum says I can tell she’s fighting back the tears willing me to eat wanting nothing more than for everything that has happened to go away and allow us to lead a life without any problems,

“Matilda Hunter now come on you need to eat” I hear his voice say, no it couldn’t be it really couldn’t be,

“Henry” I say looking up as I see him standing their with Ric at the doorway, “Oh my god Henry” I say breaking down as he rushes over to my bed wrapping his arms around me,

“Oh Tilly I’m never leaving you again I swear” he whispers softly,

“Henry no you can’t give up on your dream because of me” I say pulling back as I wipe at my eyes,

“well ill make you a deal I won’t give up on my dream and will stay dancing if you promise to eat because you know I don’t want you falling into a slump again and you need to stay healthy and Ric here best make sure that he looks after you yeah” he says

“Ok ill try my best” I say picking up my fork and attempting to eat the food,

“you know I’m sure if it was a nice strawberry sundae from Irene it would be a lot easier for me to attempt to eat” I say stifling a laugh,

“that’s more like it, now come on keep your chin up we are going to get through this babe” Ric says as he sits down on the bed beside me,

“Yea love we will take you to the dinner as soon as your out maybe even go to the restaurant of your choice yeah” Tony says

“Is that a promise” I say looking up,

“Anything you want sweets” mum says looking at me,

“Jack what’s going on, have you caught him” I hear Tony’s voice say as I stir waking up from my sleep as I feel Ric’s hand clenching my own,

“you’ve got him haven’t you Jack I don’t think I can cope if he hasn’t been found” I say shaking tears forming in my eyes,

“Baby shhh its ok” Ric says pulling me closer to him as I sit up in bed.

Great chapter Jackie. It really puts you in maddie's shoes, and what she is feeling like. It's good Henry came back and sorted it out it was a nice surprise for henry to come and visit . I'm guessing they haven't found Callan yet, hope they do find him.

Can't wait for more.

I loved that chapter, Jackie. I hope Maddie eats something soon...poor girl! And yay for Henry! I can just visualise him walking into the room and commanding her to eat! I love this fic.
