Meanwhile, Sally was fuming. She was walking so fast that she walked straight into Dan Baker. “Sal!” “Dan!” “Are you okay?” “I’m sorry. I’ve just had a lot of things on my mind, that’s all.” “Do you want to talk about it?” “No. it’s fine. What are you doing here, anyway?” “We came back early from our trip. I went to the Diner to look for Leah but Irene told me that she had gone out. I bumped into Alf and he told me that she had taken Pete to get some fresh air after his bad behaviour in the bar.” “Yeah, they’re just there.”
Traceve Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Hehe After Peters "bad behaviour at the bar" Damm right it was bad! Dont tell me it worse..
swfc Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Next chapter. Very short one: Sally was walking along the beach after coming out from Noah’s where Alf had told her about Peter. She was worried at first but when Alf told her that he was with Leah, she relaxed a little. While walking along, she saw two lone figures sitting on the beach somewhere. One was blonde and the other was brunette. She recognized the figures and started to walk towards them. As she got closer, she saw the two figures kissing. She stopped short in her tracks in shock. The only words that could come out of her mouth were, “What the hell?” Both Peter and Leah looked at Sally guiltily. Both had been caught out. Leah felt so bad that she tried to explain but she couldn’t as she herself had no idea as to what had happened. She had just kissed her brother-in-law who was also her best friend’s partner. She felt so ashamed. She tried to speak yet nothing could come out from it. All she could do was to stare at Sally and looked towards Peter for help. Peter had never felt so bad in his life, not even when he was involved with Amanda. He actually really cared about Sally and he had betrayed her. He had hurt her. Something that he vowed that he wouldn’t do. Yet he did so. He wanted to explain to Sally yet he knew that she most probably would not listen to him. Yet, he knew that he had to try. He arose and faced her. Just when he was about to open his mouth, he felt something warm across his cheek. Sally didn’t know what else to say. She was in too much shock to think rationally. She had finally opened her heart to someone and he had betrayed her so badly. And with her best friend at that. She was heartbroken. She blamed herself for this. For giving in. for allowing herself to be happy after the death of her husband. She had given him the benefit of the doubt and he had blown it. She wanted to cry so badly yet she would not give them the satisfaction. She saw him stand up and faced her. In an instant, her hand flew up and a slap grazed his skin. She saw his hand move towards his face and touched the spot where the slap was a couple of seconds ago. “How dare you!” she spat. Anger was finally taking over. “Sal, I can explain.” “Oh, really? I gave you the benefit of the doubt, Peter. And what do you do? You go behind my back and you kiss my best friend?!” “Sal, it’s not like that.” “I don’t believe it! I opened up my heart to you! I let you in and you betrayed me! You hurt me!” “Sal…” Leah said. “Don’t even get me started about you, Leah! You’re my best friend! You’re married! To his brother! How could you!” “Sal, if you’d only let us explain, then you’ll know that it was all a misunderstanding.” “I don’t want to hear it. What’s there to explain? I saw what happened with my own eyes! That’s it, Peter! We’re over!” Sally said and shot them a look of utter contempt and disgust and walked away. Preview: Will Sally tell Dan? What happens now for Peter and Leah? Who brings news that could change the lives of many people?
Traceve Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Good one moron Peter! Why the hell did he cheat on Sally, I mean this is Sally were talking about. Moron
swfc Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 You're never going to stop calling him a moron, are you? Well, at least you left out the word stupid this time round.
Traceve Posted December 5, 2006 Report Posted December 5, 2006 Thanks for reminding me Peter is a stupid moron! *hugs Sally*
Lilone Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Next Chapter Peter and Leah looked at each other. Both had no idea what to say to the other. They were both lost in their own thoughts. Peter was secretly beating himself up at yet another screw up. Leah was afraid about her marriage status if Dan found out. She knew that she had to catch up to Sally and make her promise not to tell Dan. It would mean the end of their marriage. She couldn’t deal with that. Worst was having the town find out about it. She had no doubt that if Dan found out; the entire town would as well. She shot Peter a look of disgust and walked off. Not before saying, “This is your entire fault!” Peter Baker stood there staring at the spot that Leah had just only occupied minutes ago. He didn’t know what to do. He had done it again. He knew that Dan wouldn’t forgive him now. Neither would Sally. He knew that sitting there would do him no good at all so he decided to see if he could catch up to Sally and explain everything. And that was exactly what he did. I bumped into Alf and he told me that she had taken Pete to get some fresh air after his bad behaviour in the bar.” “Yeah, they’re just there.” Whilst Dan and Sally stood there talking, Leah had been trying to catch up to Sally when she saw them. Unbeknownst to her, Peter was behind her. he saw Leah run towards where Dan and Sally were and he ran as well. Both arrived at the same time going, “Dan! It’s not what you think. It was a mistake. It just happened!” Dan just stood there with a look of confusion on his face. “What happened?” Both Leah and Peter looked at Dan and Sally in shock. “Wait, you mean, you didn’t?” Peter asked Sal However, before she could answer, Dan shot up and said: “You didn’t what?” “No. I didn’t” was all that Sally could say. She had no idea if she would have told Dan about it if both Leah and Peter hadn’t caught up and ran straight up to them and blown their secret themselves. She looked at the both of them with anger and sadness. She tried to walk away but Dan stopped her. “What’s going on here, guys? What happened? Sal? Pete? Leah?” All three looked up at Dan not knowing what to say. None of them wanted to say anything for fear of hurting the other. Sally was hurt but she would not tell on her best friend or her ex-boyfriend. She wanted them to come clean about the incident at the beach. And she was going to stay silent for as long as they did. Dan had a look of impatience on his face. From the moment he saw Sally he knew something was up. The very fact that his wife and brother had both come running up to them at the same time only proved to him that something had indeed happened and he wanted to know what. Inside, he suspected something. In fact, he dreaded at the very thought of it. His brother cheating on him and his lover with his wife and his lover’s best friend. The very thought of that made him sick. He had forgiven Peter for the times that he had cheated on him with his wives but this time round, he didn’t know if he could. He hoped that it was not the case this time round. Yet, a part of him doubted that it would be. “I’m asking you again, for the third and last time, what is going on?” Dan asked in frustration. All three looked at each other again. No one was going to front up and face the consequences of their actions. Leah was afraid. She had no idea how her husband was going to react. In fact, a part of her felt guilty. She knew that what she did was wrong. In fact, she knew it was not her fault. It was all Peter’s fault. Yet, a part of her didn’t want Peter and Dan to be at odds with each other again. Peter was trying desperately to think of an excuse but he knew he couldn’t. He knew that Dan deserved to know the truth. It was, after all, his fault. Once again, he had screwed up. And he deserved what was coming. “I kissed your wife.” Preview: how does Dan react? Is this the end of Leah/ Dan and Peter/Dan? Will Sally be able to forgive Peter or is she going to give him the flick? Peter receives news that could change his life forever.
ldscott Posted December 8, 2006 Report Posted December 8, 2006 Great chapters! Can;t wait to see if Dan hits him again!
Lilone Posted December 9, 2006 Report Posted December 9, 2006 Few teasers In a good mood Pete suddenly stopped as the thought of losing Sally came to him. he turned round and ran as fast as he could towards the house. All he could think about was Sally; nothing else mattered at this point. He was running so fast he could hardly breathe and his eyes were concentrated on the house. Whilst he was running, he didn’t notice Colleen bending over to pick up her shopping. Before he could stop himself in time, he had knocked Colleen over as she stood up holding her shopping. Colleen’s bags flew upwards and she hit the floor hurting her back, screaming “Arghhhhh!” “Me? He was the one who started it!” “Me? Who the hell gave you your driving license?” “What?” “Are you blind? You ran me over, you moron!” Pete spat at him. “Well, who asked you not to watch where you were going?” the guy yelled back. “What did you say?” Peter asked getting worked up and struggling against Jack. “That’s enough! Both of you!” Jack was fed up.
