Sian was thinking the same thing as I read that chapter :P

Martha and Jack are actually doing some exciting stuff in their relationship! Unlike what happened on the show. :P

Can't wait for more, I just know you're gonna write Jack and Martha fluff for us.

Loved the Nina and Johnny conversation at the beginning of the chapter. The Nina/Johnny/Jake/Rocco is the best part of this story and gives it its edge. You’ve created excellent characters with Nina and her brother.

“You really want to make the pain go away?” She pulled out a small clear plastic bag from her purse. There were two white pills in there.

“I don’t think that you should take it Belle,” Matilda said worried. “Do you even know what it is?”

“No. He never said what it was…” Belle said confused. She held the bag up above her head, hoping to catch more light.

“There’s no words or anything on there…” she said squinting her eyes.

The drugs offer was good. Very believable. Looking forward to reading more.

Thanks guys! I just want you all to know that I REALLY REALLY really appreciate your comments and feedback! You guys are great! And funny... :P which is really nice.

Here's a quick chapter. I should be cleaning my room, but meh! Sorry if it's a bit crap, I haven't had much sleep today...

ChapterSeventySeven:

Nina and Rocco sat in the foyer of the Yabbie Creek Police Station. Rocco had his face buried in his hands while Nina sat opposite him looking at the ceiling. Ric was at the main desk on the phone, trying to comprehend the whole situation.

“I just spoke to Grandad at the surfclub, Beth and Irene are on thier way now,” he said as he walked over to them.

“This is all my fault…” Rocco muttered.

“It’s not your fault mate,” said Ric sitting down next to him. “They’ve just made a mistake…”

Jack walked out of the office and looked at the teenagers.

“What’s going on Jack?” Ric asked him.

“McGrath’s going to talk to Belle and Maddie…” he sighed. “Look I hope you guys understand why I had to do this…”

“Yeah, right,” Rocco piped up. “You know them, it’s not they’re hardened criminals or anything. You could’ve let it slide.”

McGrath came out and walked straight to the desk and filed away some papers. Nina practically leapt out of her seat when she saw him.

“Hey,” she said approaching him at the desk. “Please tell me you’re going to do everything you can to help them…”

McGrath looked at her forlornly. “Sorry kiddo… I really need to follow procedure on this.”

“Can I do anything? I mean…”

“My advice would be to stay out of this…” he warned. “For once it’s not you in trouble.” She followed him as he walked back into the office and quickly shut the door behind her.

“What’s it going to take to get these charges dropped?” she asked him.

“They were caught red handed,” he replied. “There’s nothing you can do…”

“They’re good people… they shouldn’t have this put on their record…”

“Well teenagers do stupid things,” he sighed.

“Well they wouldn’t have gotten caught if it wasn’t for Jack Holden. I knew he’d get in the way some how…”

“Look we can’t change anything..."

“Alright then, the drugs were mine,” Nina said quickly. “I asked them to look after my bag for me… They didn’t know that I had them, and they must’ve thought they were something else…”

“Don’t!” McGrath snapped at her. “Do not get involved with this!”

“Uncle Darren!’ she said harshly. “I’m already in enough trouble as it is… they have a lot more to lose than I do.”

McGrath looked at her. He had always admired how strong she was, he had seen something special in her since she was very young. She had never been afraid of anything, and yet, she had most of the men in her life scrambling around trying to protect her. Darren knew better though. She had never needed protection, what she had needed was freedom.

“You sure about this…?” he asked her.

“Things are already messed up,” she sighed. “What’s one more drug charge? I’m trying to do the right thing here.”

“I know kiddo,” he said. ‘I’ll call Nathan and get him to fill out the paperwork. He’ll sort something out like he normally does. I’ll make sure that you don’t get formally charged… But after this you stay right out of trouble!”

“You’re a saint Uncle Darren!” she beamed at him.

Jack stood in the doorway, frowning at them in disbelief.

“Uncle Darren?” he gasped.
