“You got any names to back that up?”

Johnny froze for a second. He hadn’t expected Rocco to have been at the station all night, and that cancelled out Nina as well.

“Of course he does Detective…” a man said walking up behind Johnny and patting him on the back. “You don’t really think Johnny would do anything bad now, would you?’

“Jake Rogers…” Nathan groaned.

“Johnny boy was with me last night,” Jake told him. “We were at a pub just out of Warratah Heights. Can’t remember what it was called. Do you mate?”

Johnny shook his head. “Nah…”

Jake grinned. “I bet you remember those twins though huh? Maybe that’s what you need Detective?” He scribbled something on a piece of paper. “Ease that tension you got building up… I’ve got one of their numbers here… I’m sure if you gave her a house call… she'd take gooood care of you.”

Really well thought out twist to the plot and the writing flows. Same for the second part I've quoted. I could picture the scene below:

...some of the pillows fell of the couch. He got up and started rearranging them properly, that is, until he found the wallet.

He rummaged through it, searching for a hint about it’s owner. It didn’t take him long to put two and two together. Someone had a lot of explaining to do.

The Martha/Jack scene was nice - great cliffhanger! :)
