Loving your story Adia, Rocco and Matilda are so sweet together.

I remeber when I first started reading this story, chapter 45 or something had just been posted and I had to read the whole thing up until there. I certainly watch out for updates nowadays!

Sorry for the lack of updates. :( Things have been kinda hectic aaaaand I have completely lost all the ideas I was going to write. So just to get some perspective... and it was about time anyway, here's a summary of the last 30 or so chapters. :P

Thank you guys for reading my story and sticking with me. I really do appreciate it so much. Just for your info, you've read 96 chapters and 315 pages... lol. There's still a bit more to go, but there is an ending in sight... I just need to write the in betweeny bits.

Previously…

At the end of the last summary (on page 24) Jack had just collapsed as he and Martha were returning back from the city…

Jack’s life hangs in the balance as Rachel discovers that Jack has been drugged. Later Rachel receives Nina’s blood results from when she was in the hospital and sees that Jack and Nina have been drugged with the same thing.

Johnny threatens to hurt Matilda if Rocco doesn’t help him rob the surf club. Rocco is reluctant, but Johnny’s forces him to see it his way.

Nathan and McGrath speak to Rachel at the hospital about Jack’s condition. Rachel tells them about Nina, but Nathan dismisses it at a coincidence. Later, Nathan tells McGrath that he needs to cover his tracks, as no one can find out that HE was the one who drugged Jack.

Macca lies to Cassie that tells her that Nina and her brother helped him out when he lost his job. Nina reminds Macca not to tell anyone the truth about her. Macca then mentions Jack’s condition and Nina is horrified that Jack may die. She calls Nathan and tells him that she wants out. Afterwards, she meets Ric, Matilda and Rocco at the surf club for some drinks. Rocco mentions that Johnny has threatened to hurt Matilda if he doesn’t get back into the gang at which point Johnny and his mates enter the bar.

Matilda confronts Johnny about the way that he’s been treating Rocco. He just laughs at her, and Rocco tells her that he will handle Johnny from now on. Lee walks in and starts flirting with Johnny and he flirts back to make Nina jealous. Matilda gets a text to go home and Rocco goes with her, leaving Ric and Nina alone, which does not please Johnny at all.

Rachel realises that she’s lost Nina’s file, (but Nathan has actually taken it) and Tony rushes in to tell her that Jack is waking up.

Ric explains his past relationships to Nina. She feels uncomfortable watching Lee and Johnny so she goes outside with Ric to get some fresh air. They talk about Matilda, and Nina tells Ric that she knows he has very deep feelings for her. Ric admits that he’s in love with Matilda, but that she is happy with Rocco and he doesn’t want to hurt her. When Ric leaves, Nina thinks about all the people she’s hurt, when she’s suddenly grabbed from behind…

Jack wakes up and Tony tells him that he was possibly drugged. Jack can’t believe it, but Rachel tells him that Nina was drugged with the same thing. Jack starts to piece everything together when he remembers that he saw Nathan talking to Jake outside the bar. He then realises that they are all in on the scam together.

Johnny grabs Nina and asks where Ric is. Later he tells her that she needs to just admit her feelings for him. She finally gives in and kisses him. She stops when Lee comes out and says that SHE is going home with Johnny. Johnny tells her to get lost and chases after Nina. Nina then tells him the only way she’ll be with him is if he leaves Rocco alone for good and Johnny reluctantly agrees to do it.

McGrath visits Jack in the hospital and Jack questions him about Nina. McGrath brushes it off, but Jack and Martha can clearly see that he is worried about something. McGrath sees Nina at the reception while she’s waiting for Rachel to do her check up. He tells her that he can’t keep covering for her, and that it’s getting dangerous. We find out that Darren is in fact her uncle… Nina lies to Rachel about a scar on her back saying it’s from an accident when she was a kid, but Rachel knows that it’s a surgical scar. When Rachel and Nurse Julie leave the main desk, Nina steals Jack’s blood test results.

Matilda and Beth have a fight about Rocco and Matilda storms off. While she walks through the park, members of Johnny’s gang corner her and start taunting her. Very scared, Matilda pleads with them not to hurt her. Johnny comes and is angry with the boys and tells Matilda to get to school. Karl protests, and tells Johnny they need to shut Rocco up for good, but Johnny says that Rocco will come running back when he’s ready.

Rocco is shocked when Matilda tells him that Johnny ordered the boys to leave her alone. Conversation turns to Ric and Nina, and Nina tells them that nothing happened with Ric and that he just a sweet guy. On her study period, she goes over Jack’s test results and figures out that Jack was sick because someone else had already drugged him before Nathan did. She tells McGrath but he’s reluctant to pursue it further.

Jack is discharged from the hospital and Martha tells him that they really need to have a talk. Jack’s first impression is that Martha is breaking up with him, but Martha says that with everything that’s happened to them she in fact want to have a baby! Jack agrees ecstatically!

Rocco asks Matilda if she still wants to go to the party, especially after everything that’s happened with Johnny/Beth. Matilda says that she will not let anything ever come between them. As they kiss, Beth comes into the caravan park house absolutely fuming. She verbally attacks Rocco and drags Matilda home. They fight again and Matilda goes to her room. Tony tells Beth to ease up on her, but Beth won’t budge and Matilda packs up her things and runs away.

Johnny and Nina spend the night together. While they are talking Johnny asks her why she isn’t scared of him. Before she can answer there is a knock at the door. It’s Matilda and she is crying and in need of a place to stay. Nina tells Johnny to sneak out so that she can comfort Matilda.

The next morning, Beth realises that Matilda is missing and storms off to ask Rocco about it. Jack and Martha drop hints to Tony about their decision to start a family, but he’s totally oblivious… Nina has a heated conversation on her cellphone and Matilda over hears part of it. She asks Nina if she’s in trouble and Nina tells her that some guys are after her brother and that if they come after her, Matilda may never see her alive again. Matilda tries to get her to go to the police, but fails.

Johnny tells Nina that he wants her to pick up some drugs from a guy that is coming as no one will suspect her. She tries to persuade him not to rob the surf club, but he brushes it off. Rocco sees them but they quickly cover their tracks. Rocco warns Nina about helping Johnny, but Johnny grabs him and threatens him if he goes to the police about the robbery.

Matilda and Ric spend some time together and Matilda tells him how much she loves their friendship. Ric is gutted, because of course he wants more than friendship with her.

The party at the surf club is on. Belle is a little drunk and starts hitting on Ric to get back at Drew. Jack and Martha flirt with each other at the bar while she is working. Beth sees Matilda and Rocco together and yells at her. Nina gives Johnny the drugs that she’s picked up for him.

Matilda stands up for herself to Beth. Beth is hurt by her comments and Tony rushes over and takes her home to cool off. Jack and Martha are getting it on in his car. Matilda and Belle talk in the car park about how much pain and sadness they both feel. Belle brings out a small plastic bag with some pills in there, but Matilda says she would never do that after what happened with Callan. Jack and Martha walk past as Belle is inspecting the drugs…

Nina, Rocco and Ric wait at the police station. Rocco blames Jack for getting Belle and Matilda in trouble. Nina tries to talk to McGrath and get him to drop the charges, but then later covers for the girls and tells him that the drugs were hers. Jack finds out that McGrath is Nina’s uncle and confronts them about it. McGrath explains that they’re not actually blood related and that they are just close. Beth yells at Nina for getting Matilda in trouble. In the interview room Nina tells Matilda and Belle to change their story so they can go free. Matilda doesn’t want Nina to get into trouble, but she eventuallyl agrees. Alf leaves Martha alone at the surf club to cash up after the party. As he leaves, Johnny and his gang are waiting in the shadows to rob the place.

Jack and Lara try to figure out if McGrath was telling the truth about his relationship to Jake and Nina. Tony reminds him that he needs to go and pick up Martha. Matilda tells Beth that she is not going home with her, and Lara tells her to ask Sally if she can stay there instead.

Johnny and the boys rob the surf club. One of the guys, Karl, ties up Martha and takes a liking to her. Jack arrives, but it’s too late. He is scared as anything when he sees what’s happened and desperately tries to comfort Martha.

Nathan takes Nina home and tells her to stay out of trouble. When she goes into her house, Johnny is there waiting. They flirt for a bit before Johnny tells her that he will always protect her. Martha tells Jack about the robbery and the guy that tied her up. Jack tries to get Rocco to talk to Johnny, but Matilda and Martha tell him to drop it and let the (other) police handle it.

Jack has a meeting with McGrath and Superintendent Murphy. McGrath is suspended from duties until an investigation into his relationship with Nina and Jake is completed. When Jack leaves, Murphy tells McGrath that the police commissioner has asked to be debriefed on the case and that he doesn’t want to see McGrath get into any trouble.

Nathan and Lara question Johnny about his whereabouts the night of the robbery. Johnny says nothing at first, but he’s saved by Jake who explains that Johnny was with him at a pub with some girls. Jake has a go at Nathan and makes him uncomfortable. When Jake gets home, Nina is rushing out. He tidies up the living room and finds the empty tequila bottle and Johnny’s wallet and he puts two and two together…

Martha is crying at the wharf about the robbery. Jack comforts her and they walk to the diner where they *bump* into Karl. They have no idea who he is, and what he has planned.

Jake confronts Nina about Johnny and tells her to end it with him, so not to compromise his plan and for her own protection. She yells at him about something that happened and how he is never around when she needs him. He feels guilty, but still tells her to end it with Johnny or else.

Rachel drops a glass on the ground and the memory of the robbery hits Martha. She lets her emotions get to her and runs to her room crying.

Jake and Nina meet up with Johnny and the boys. Jake has a go at her again about how stupid she was to get involved with Johnny but she ignores him. Johnny has a quick moment with her and they arrange to meet up later that night.

Johnny talks to Jake about the next job which make Karl very jealous. He decides that he’s going to prove what a bad ass he is, and he’s going to get Martha in the process.

Jack promises Martha that he’ll never let anyone hurt her. He goes to find Nina and asks her if she knows anything. She tells him to leave it to the cops, but Jack insists that she must know something. He grabs her, but Nathan comes and pulls Jack off her and tells him to leave. Nathan tells Nina she was right about Jack being drugged by someone else, but he can’t do anything because the truth about him drugging Jack will come out as well. When he leaves, Nina feels guilty and cries, realising that her feelings for Johnny and her sympathy for Jack are causing her to lose control.

Karl threatens Rocco about some money that he owes him. Rocco says he’ll pay him back but Karl ups the interest on what Rocco owes. Rocco says he can’t come up with the cash, but Karl says if he doesn’t he’ll tell Johnny that Rocco has narked to the cops.

Nina tries to break it off with Johnny, but he sweet talks her into changing her mind. Karl sees them together and decides that he’ll try and use their relationship to his advantage somehow.

Martha decides to go back to work at the bar, even after what’s happened as she needs to face it. Karl enters and spends the night talking to them while they are completely oblivious to the fact that he was the guy who tied up Martha. Later Martha comments how nice he was, and that they should get to know him better.

Rocco is worried about Karl and how he’s going to get the money. Sally notices something is wrong, but Rocco tells her there isn’t. Nina sees Johnny at the beach giving drugs to a guy – Dave - from her school. Later she approaches Dave and asks him to get her some stuff.

Rocco sees her doing a deal with Dave and tries to warn her (yet again) about getting involved with that kind of thing. She tells him to back off and that she can handle it. But Rocco knows that there is something else going on…

Coming up spoilers:

Jack is worried as Martha gets suddenly sick. Beth becomes a target. And Karl ups the anti on poor Rocco.
