Hey guys! Thanks so much for your comments! :)

Sorry it's been a while, I do have a few updates... just no time to post them as someone in my house is a computer hog and is on here 24/7 . I'll try and get them up when I come home from work tonight... hopefully they won't be home...

Finally! Yes, my sister is soooo mean! Might bring the voodoo dolls back and curse her...

Anyway an update! Not very good though... I lost the original copy of what I had written...

ChapterNinetyEight:

She thought about leaving.

As much as getting out of Summer Bay and away from everything appealed to her, the first worry that drifted into her mind was how she was going to explain it to Johnny. He wasn’t the type of guy that was just going to let her walk away without an explanation. He was a resourceful guy and he’d find out the truth about her eventually. As much as she wanted to be ith him, she knew that it would be impossible. Disappearing without anyone knowing was becoming a very good option… and something that she was quite capable of doing.

She stood close to her locker, carefully concealing everything from view as the other students milled around her. She looked carefully at the drugs that Dave had given her and sighed as if she were trying to soothe some pain. It wasn’t enough to help her, and she knew… she knew that she needed more…

Rocco walked down the beach tugging at his tie and fidgeting with the buttons on his shirt. He felt so helpless. Gutless even. He’d never been strong enough to stand on his own two feet, what made him think that he could help Nina? She didn’t even want his help to start with…

He thought about it for a minute and he remembered the look in her eyes when he first saw her. They were the same…

He saw Johnny and the boys sitting at a table outside the diner, laughing and whistling at every girl that walked past. He caught his brother’s eye and Johnny grinned at him wildy in anticipation… as if he were challenging Rocco to a fight that he knew there was no way he’d win.

A part of him was scared to even go near them, but he took a deep breath and walked right up to them.

“Where’s Matilda?” Beth said stepping in front of him.

Rocco kept his eyes on Johnny, that grin and the fire in his eyes waiting for him.

“At school I guess…” he said finally looking at her.

“I thought the two of you were inseparable lately…” she snapped.

“Look Mrs Hunter, I know you don’t like me…”

“Too right I don’t like you…” she yelled at him. “You single handedly ruined my relationship with my daughter…”

He’d had just about enough of her having a go at him. He got right up into her face and stood threateningly over the top of her.

“You did that on your own,” he shouted. “Matilda and I are together and you know what, I’m not gonna stand back and take you’re threats anymore. You do what you like, you can’t stop us from seeing each other...”

Everyone turned and looked at them. Johnny was particularly interested in what was going on and the smile was quickly wiped from his face.

Beth stood up to him; she was shocked that he’d yelled the way he did, but she stood firm, hoping that he’d feel a little threated.

“Sorry,” Rocco said backing down. “I’m sorry. I’m trying to make a fresh start here, and I really care about Maddie. I just don’t know why you can’t see that.”

“You just made a big mistake Rocco,” Beth spat between her gritted teeth. “There is no way in hell I will ever let Matilda see you again. You can count on that.”

He shook his head, sick of listening to her threats. He saw his brother stand up and walk down towards them. Gang in tow.

“There a problem here lady?” Johnny asked her.

Beth gulped and gave Rocco one last death stare.

“It’s nothing Johnny…” Rocco said looking at the ground.

“Doesn’t sound like nothing. I could hear ya all the way up there. If there’s some sorta disagreement, I’m sure we could come to some arrangement.” Johnny motioned to the six or so tough guys that were standing behind him.

Beth looked at them“I’m done here,” she said pushing her way through the gang.

“You didn’t have to do that Johnny,” Rocco told him.

“Roc, you’re still my brother. I’m allowed to look out for you…”

“I don’t need ya help…” he insisted.

“She hassling you about the missus?” he asked him.

“Yeah… she doesn’t like the idea of me and Maddie being together, but it’s cool. I can handle her.”

Johnny frowned as if some sort of equation was formulating in his head. He put his hand on Rocco’s shoulder and then on the side of his cheek.

“If you need me... you know where to find me. I mean that Roc…”

Johnny gave him a nod before casually leading the boys away.

Rocco closed his eyes and rubbed his head trying to ease the tension in his head.

“I hope you’re thinking about how you’re gonna get my money,” voice piped up.

He caught a glimpse of the guy between his fingers. Not again…

“Look man, I’ll sort it okay, you’ll get your money. I promise.” Rocco begged.

“You better Rocco, or Johnny won’t be coming to your rescue when he hears that you’ve been dobbing to the cops…”

Frustrated and helpless, Rocco clenched his fists wanting so desperately to attack him right then and there.

“Nah uh uh,” Karl said waving a a finger at him. “I wouldn’t do that if I were you. You remember what I did to that chick last year, the one that ended up in the psych ward…? I can easily get your little girlfriend and ruin everything for you. You know how much I like sweet fresh meat…”

“You sick bastard…” Rocco said quietly. “You even go near Matilda…”

“Who says I’ll go after her… I could always pick the other one… I know you like her too… isn’t it a shame that she happens to be screwing your brother…”

He reveled in the distraught look on the boy’s face.

“Think about it Roc… you have a good day now…”

Special update because, well just because. AAAANd I have a feeling you guys won't like me in a few chapters. Like Sian predicted... :P

ChapterNinetyNine:

“Well everything seems to be fine,” Rachel said sitting down at her desk. “We’ll get a better idea once the blood results come through. I marked them as urgent, so hopefully they’ll be back within the next half hour…”

Martha clutched her stomach. ‘I’m feeling a little better now Rach,” she said tiredly. ‘Not as nauseous as before. Maybe you could just give me some pills and I’ll be on my way.”

“No way!’ Rachel laughed. “You know Jack is really worried about you and if I didn’t give you a thorough check up he’d be in here straight away…”

“He’s so cute when he’s demanding though isn’t he?” Martha laughed. “Could it be possible that I was drugged though? He has the idea in his head that someone is after him… especially with all the weirdness going on lately...”

“It could be a possibility.” Rachel speculated. “But, actually I think I know what is wrong with you, I just didn’t want to get your hopes up until it was confirmed.”

“Well what do you think? I mean am I sick… or…?”

“Well…” Rachel smiled.

“Rach! You can’t keep me hanging!”

“Let’s just wait for the results shall we? Anyway, I still don’t understand who would want to drug Jack? It just seems really strange…”

“Yeah, I mean the whole bar was full of cops. I think that maybe Jack just got his drinks mixed up with someone else. I just can’t figure out who’d want to do something like that to him. Jack is the nicest sweetest guy there is and he’s a great cop. I don’t think anyone would want to hurt him.”

“Yeah, you might be right. He was really worried though. You know… That new Detective was acting all weird about it…” Rachel sighed wondering if she should really continue with what she wanted to say. “I tell him something that could be really important and he just ignores it like I’m an idiot or something. And Nina Rogers… that girl is such a mystery. I still can’t figure out how she had the same dosage of the drug as Jack and yet her symptoms were totally different.”

“How do you mean?” Martha said rubbing her tummy soothingly.

“Well, I can’t really say, for obvious reasons…” Rachel explained. “But some of the things she said just didn’t add up…”

“Like?” Martha said dying to find out more.

Rachel bit her lip. “She had a scar, which she told me was from some kind of accident from when she was a kid. But it was definitely a surgical scar, but when I went through her file, there was nothing about any surgery that she’s had. And her brother said she had some kind of medical condition, but that wasn’t in there either. Not to mention the fact that her file went missing and I looked everywhere for it. The whole time it was here on my desk. Something just isn’t right…”

Nurse Julie tapped on the door lightly. ‘Sorry to interrupt guys,” she said sweetly. “But the results are back Rachel.” She handed Rachel a big brown envelope and smiled knowingly at Martha.

“I hope it’s good news…” she said excitedly as she shut door.

“Thanks Julie,” Rachel said opening the envelope.

“Well what does it say?” Martha asked scared.

“Nothing that I didn’t already know,” Rachel grinned.

“Well!” Martha said practically jumping out of her seat.

“You’re pregnant.”
