Was that him singing? The boys got mad skillz. 4. Callan + swearing = fits like a friggin glove. I ordered. I watched. I basked. And I now mourn the fact that Callan was not cast in H&A as a lovable rogue and will probably not make a comeback like Kane. Plus I watched Thunderstruck followed by 4 hours of Oz and 2 hours of H&A. Add all of this together and what do you get? Inspiration at 3am!
Adia Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Ahhh, I totally agree with everything! That midget scene is my favourite and his swearing is just naturally hot... I think the movie was filmed before the accident. He doesn't have the scar by his mouth and I think it was only a couple of weeks after they had actually finished filming. I read an interview that Damien Gameau did and he said how tragic it was and that Callan wasn't really comfortable about going out in public afterwards. Poor guy. It's still really brave of him how he recovered and all. I'll keep praying that Johnny comes back and gets his revenge on Summer Bay. Everyone else does... for now I'll have to do with Cam, as he has the Johnny jacket. You've got me intrigued with Oz. If it's dirtier than Prison Break, then I definitely have to check it out...

I think the fans should flood the monkeys with letters of praise about Callan and curses for them casting him in a role that will only last so long. Maybe then they will do a Kane and bring him back a changed man, only he isn't a complete saint!
The Cure Posted March 11, 2007 Report Posted March 11, 2007 Hey, I've been campaigning for it since he first set foot on Summer Bay soil, but to no avail I'm afraid. It has long been the way of this show to get rid of every single one of its most fantastic characters. However, I am definitely willing to try. Fan power brought Nic Bishop back (multiple times I might add!). Although, look at the way they destroyed his character upon his return... Still, I would rather have a lame Johnny than no Johnny at all. P.S. Yes, Thunderstruck was filmed before the accident. It happened on the 28th December 2003 and they had just wrapped filming a few weeks before. I personally really don't get it when people say "he has changed so much since the accident". With the exception of the scar, he looks exactly the same as in HBH, just several years older and with a new hairstyle/colour. I think they are just saying that becasue they had read about the severity of the crash and so believe that he should look very different. I have always watched him very closely, and he honestly has hardly changed at all since.
