It's the weekend so i managed to get an update, nothing intresting going on really

Chapter 16:

It had been 2 days since she had seen Jack, she didn’t want to talk to anyone. Tash had tried to come in a few times and take her out of the house, but Martha didn’t feel like it, she just pretended that she had felt sick. She had also been acting like everything was fine, that the break up and everything else didn’t bother her. A positive that had come out of these 2 days was that she still hadn’t seen Ashley, maybe because she hadn’t even been outside, the only time she went out side was last night when she went for a walk to the beach it was quiet late and she didn’t run into anyone.

Ashley had been spending a lot of time with Tash , Robbie and Kim, that’s what Tash had told her. Ashley went to high school with both Tash and Robbie and they were friends. Kim didn’t mind her, why was she the only one that didn’t want to see her. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that she had ruined hers and Jack’s relationship in the first place, but she wasn’t the only one to blame so was Jack.

Jack hadn’t tried to contact or speak to her, Martha guessed he was still angry at her, last time she had seen him he had snapped and yelled at her, she figured he hadn’t cooled down just yet. She honestly didn’t know what it would be like between them, would they still be friends? Would they still be able to see each other? Even if Martha didn’t see him as a friend she was willing to give it a go.

She had tried to keep busy these past two days, anything that would keep her mind of things, but nothing had seemed to work. When she was in bed lying down, she would think about Ashley and Jack. Had she done the wrong thing by breaking up with him? One of the main reasons she didn’t want to see them because she couldn’t possible see them together, even if they were just talking, she didn’t think she could handle it. What if Jack was to fall for Ashley? Martha asked herself, her thought were distracted by a knock on the door. She guessed it was Tash, but a small part of her really wanted it to be Jack, she just wanted to see him, even if they both thought they were angry at each it didn’t stop Martha from missing him.

Martha walked up to the door and opened it, she let out a sigh when she saw Tash there she knew what she wanted. Martha left the door open and walked back to the couch not even bothering to say hey.

“Hello to you as well” Tash replied sarcastically.

“Before you ask, I’m fine and no I don’t want to talk about it” Martha told her. Tash just sat down and laughed, Martha knew her so well.

“I wasn’t going to say that” Tash lied, smiling. Martha smiled back.

“You were” she told her. “Tash I’m fine seriously” Martha added.

“Then why don’t you want to go to the beach with me or to the diner or to the surf club or anywhere?” Tash asked her. She knew Martha had to give her an answer.

“Because I don’t feel like it” Martha replied, feeling confident with herself.

“Are you sure there is no other reason, like other people you don’t want to run into” Tash smiled cheekily at her.

“No I’m sure” Martha told her.

“You know you and Jack are going to have to see each other sooner or later, you can’t keep hiding in here forever” Tash replied.

“Who said this had anything to do with Jack” Martha said, she let her stubborn side take over, when it came to Jack she didn’t want to think about it now.

“Ok whatever you say” Tash said raising her hands in defense. “Then come with me to the beach, its just going to be me, you and Robbie”

“Fine” Martha replied, she would do anything if it meant that Tash would get of he back.

Martha sat her self down onto the sand; it had actually felt good to get out into the sun. It was much better than it was inside and she could just relax here. Maybe having Robbie and Tash around would mean her thoughts wouldn’t be in other places. She looked around; the beach was practically empty, except for a couple of people surfing. It was still quiet early in the morning.

“This actually feels nice” Martha smiled at Tash.

“See, I told you” Tash pointed out. She then leaned back onto Robbie, who placed his hands around her, Martha couldn’t help but think of her and Jack. How was it that they managed to last so long with no troubles, but when it came down to her and Jack, they were having arguments occasionally.

She’d always known Tash and Robbie had been perfect for each other. Their love always managed to get them through. Martha wished she could be like that with Jack, but the way things were going now, that wouldn’t be possible.

Without even realizing it, she was thinking about Jack again. She quickly sat up and turned around again, but before she could speak, she heard someone call out.

She froze in her spot, it was Kim, she had her back turned to him, so she didn’t see if there was anyone with him. She slowly turned around and in the distance she could see Kim, followed by Jack. She watched as a smile escaped from her lips, she didn’t even know why she was smiling. She just hadn’t seen him in ages, Martha couldn’t help but think he looked hot. She quickly snapped out of it looking at Tash, who was looking back at Martha smiling. Martha looked away from her.

“Hey” Robbie called out once they had reached them. Tash and Martha said hey to them as well at the same time. Martha quickly turned around not wanting her eyes to meet with Jack.

“Didn’t expect to see you here” Kim said to Martha. Martha was now forced to turn around she couldn’t ignore him when he was trying to talk to her. Her eyes met with Jack’s she could see he was showing no emotion he just stared back at her.

“Why’s that?” she said focusing back on Kim, she was tempted to look at Jack, but he was looking away trying to ignore the fact that Martha was there.

“You’re not a very early riser, I would have thought you would still be sleeping” Kim joked. Martha just smiled back in return, she didn’t know what to say, but she could feel Jack’s eyes on her. He hadn’t even said one word yet.

“Well we better get going” Kim said turning to Jack as he said his goodbyes and they both turned and walked away from the beach. Martha watched Jack for a few moments longer, she felt like crying, she never thought her and Jack would come to this.

“Well that wasn’t so awkward was it” Tash asked form behind.

“No absolutely not” Martha rolled her eyes.

Totally agree with Nic. Although I love you for putting up another chapter, I really wish J&M would stop being stupid and realise that they are a perfect match, yes just like Robbie and Tash, if not a little more feisty and stubborn. :P Fab writing jackthehottest. :D

Chapter 17

It had past a couple of hours, since her last meeting with Jack. Martha was actually quiet disappointed with how it went, she hated that they couldn’t be like they were before, or that they couldn’t be friends.. She loved him, she wasn’t going to deny that, but she couldn’t be with him now, she didn’t trust him enough and she wasn’t going to get into a relationship with someone she didn’t trust, she had done it already to Jack once and it ended badly.

Martha made her way to the diner, she had agreed to meet Tash there, it wasn’t really an agreement Tash wouldn’t leave her alone until she said yes. Martha laughed to herself, she knew if she had said no, Tash would have started her talk on Jack and Martha had, had enough of it in the past 2 days.

She walked in, but stopped once she saw who was there, her legs didn’t want to move and everything around felt it was like spinning, she had totally forgotten about Ashley and what was worse was she was sitting with Jack and Kim. She didn’t want to look, but she couldn’t help it made her so angry, She hated how Ashley was always smiling and making jokes around Jack, she didn’t know what it was about her but Martha couldn’t stand her.

She looked closely at Ashley, she hadn’t changed that much. She was still that tall blonde girl everyone thought was hot. Martha didn’t know her quiet well, but Ashley and Tash were friends and Tash used to tell her story’s how every guy would fall for Ashley.

Martha tried to ignore the fact that every second Ashley was smiling at Jack and even worse he was smiling back. She couldn’t take it anymore; she turned around to walk away, but stopped herself. She wasn’t going to let Ashley influence her life. She didn’t understand why Jack was so nice to her, she had ruined his and Martha’s relationship, yet he didn’t care.

She saw as Ashley got up and walked out, Martha was so glad that she didn’t notice her, she wasn’t up for putting a smile on her face and pretending like they were best friends, that wasn’t going to work. She made her way over to Tash and Robbie who were sitting on the table next to Jack and Kim.

“Hey” Martha said cheerfully to them, she tried to ignore the fact that Jack was looking at her. They all replied except for Jack, who looked away focusing on his drink.

“You just missed her” Tash whispered to Martha who was next to her.

“Such a shame” Martha replied. Tash laughed at her, she knew Martha wouldn’t give Ashley a chance but she also had her reasons why.

“So Martha what you been up to?” Kim asked her. Martha was forced to look at him.

“Nothing much really” she replied.

“So you been stuck in the house these past few days” Kim asked her. Martha looked at Tash maybe she had told him that she didn’t want to get out of the house because of Jack. Tash shrugged her shoulders she didn’t know what Kim was on about.

“Why does that bother you” she snapped at him, he had no reason to ask her these questions what was he getting to.

“Ok, ok I was just joking” Kim replied clearly seeing there was something wrong. “Cheer up your not the only one, this guy over here hardly ever gets out of the house” Kim added pointing at Jack.

Jack felt like he could just sink into the ground and die of embarrassment, he couldn’t believe Kim had just said that. Martha would think he was still pinning over her, even if it was true he didn’t want her to know.

Martha couldn’t help but smile, unsure to herself why she was. Maybe this meant Jack still liked her, but from this she knew he was still angry.

“You and Jack are probably having an affair without us knowing” Kim said looking over at Jack and smiling, he knew how awkward it was between Jack and Martha, and he didn’t see why, they both wouldn’t speak to each other. They had broken up but knowing Jack and Martha they would probably get back together in amount of days.

“Trust me mate that’s not happening” Jack forced a smile to Kim, he had already embarrassed himself, but he wasn’t going to let Martha think he was going to beg her to take him back, he was sick of showing her how much he loved her and her just shoving it all in his face.

Martha couldn’t believe what Jack had just said, maybe after all Jack didn’t like her anymore maybe she had gotten the wrong impressions. She couldn’t help but feel hurt.

“I’m going to go for a walk” Jack said standing up, he would do anything to get out of the awkward silence that was happening. Martha sat for a second longer hesitating whether to go after him or not, she couldn’t control the feeling that came over her, she stood up and followed him.

“That went great” Tash said glaring at Kim, she too couldn’t believe what Kim had just said.

“What?” Kim replied, he didn’t see why everyone was getting angry over a joke.

***

“Jack wait” Martha said running after him, obviously Jack wasn’t stopping, she ran faster to catch up with and grabbed his hand making him turn around.

“What” Jack asked, he looked at her and it was the first time that their eyes had met for more than a couple of seconds. And at that exact moment all his anger seemed to fade, he just wasn’t ready to forget about her, he couldn’t.

“I’m sorry alright, I don’t want things to be like this between us” Martha told him, she was actually surprised she was saying all these things to him. Jack stayed quiet he didn’t know what to say. “I hate it when we fight, I just want things to go back to how we were, when Ashley was never here and before we went out, can’t we just be friends?” Martha suggested.

The thought of him and Martha being friends was wrong he didn’t see her as a friend so why was he going to pretend that he wanted to be one.

“I’m sick of this Martha; you need to work out what you want. One day you want me another you don’t and now you expect us to be friends” he snapped at her. “I can’t be just friends with you, I can’t be friends with someone I love” he repeated himself. He looked away from her he wasn’t meant to say that, he wasn’t mean to let her know.

“Jack.” Martha began but didn’t know what to say she was glad to here him say it. Of course she loved him; they just couldn’t be together, not yet anyway. “I love yo-“Martha began, but she was cut off by Jack.

“Don’t you dare say it” Jack snapped at her. He was sick of hearing it when it meant nothing. It just got his hopes up, but at the end he always got hurt.”You don’t mean it” he told her and with that he walked away.

Martha looked away from him, how could he say that to her, he had no idea how she felt about him. He had no right, just because she left him didn’t mean she didn’t love him. Martha let the tears fall.
