Just read the last three chapters and they were brill!

I'm glad Martha and Jack have managed to come to an understanding, even though I want to bang their heads together! They so belong together but are too stubborn to admit it <_< Kind of like what's happening on the show

Still not sure what to make of this Dean fellow...I suppose he's ok lol

Ohh, Martha's shocked about something in the next chapter...sounds interesting. Can't wait to read more. Please update soon :)

Finally I decided to write another chapter :P . Not much going on pretty boring chapter

Chapter 28:

“What but why?’ Tash complained as she hugged Robbie tighter. “I don’t want you to go” she told him.

“But I promised a friend I would meet up with them” he kissed her on the forehead. “Sorry” he replied. Tash slowly rested her head on his chest. As he placed his hands on her waist

Martha smiled across at the happy couple, that was once what her and Jack were like, nothing would separate them, they would spend every minute with each other, even when they were just friends. But now so many things had changed, that it was pretty hard for any of that to come back.

“You alright” Dean asked as he whispered in her ear, breaking her away from her thought.

“Uh, yeah just fine” she forced a smile. She quickly gave him a kiss on the cheek reassuring him that everything was okay. She loved the way Dean cared about her, he was such a nice guy any girl would be lucky to have him.

“So I was wondering if I we could so something tomorrow together?” Dean asked her. “I’ve hardly seen you since I’ve been here” Dean laughed.

“I know I’m sorry, but I’ve got the whole day of tomorrow, so I’m saying yes to your idea” she replied smiling as he pulled her closer. He tightly held onto her by her waist.

She watched as Jack slowly walked into Noah’s, suddenly she felt like she was doing something wrong. She could see that Jack didn’t even want to look at her. She lightly hit her head. She didn’t want to think about Jack Holden right now, all he seemed to do was confuse her even more.

Jack sat down at the bar, turning his back from the others. He didn’t feel like socializing right now. Sure he and Martha had sorted their things out but nothing had changed. His feelings hadn’t changed and the way he wanted her didn’t change either. Before when he walked in and saw Dean’s hands on her, he just had to look away, it felt so wrong. He should have been the one holding Martha not some other guy. It all felt like a huge nightmare, that he was dying to wake up from so that it would all disappear, but unfortunately it wasn’t it was all real.

“A beer?” Alf questioned him.

“Yeah thanks that would be great” Jack replied thanking him. He didn’t understand how Martha could take over his mind so quickly and she never seemed to leave it. He had tried so many times to get her back, but every single time something would go wrong and she wouldn’t stick around. Now he had no chance with her. Unlike himself Martha had moved on with someone and here he was left thinking of her, when he knew he couldn’t get her.

He snapped out of his thoughts as he felt a warm hand on his shoulder. He watched as Martha took a seat next to him. He tried to smile but he knew that Martha could see right through him.

“Why don’t you come join us?” Martha asked. “Robbie just left, so it’s just Dean, Tash, Kim and I” Martha added.

“Nah its okay” Jack replied, he didn’t like the idea of sitting so close to Martha and watching other guy’s hands on her, he couldn’t go through with that.

“Why not?” she asked

“I guess I just don’t feel like it. I’m kind of tired” he replied back, trying to make up the first thing that came into his head.

“Jack, I thought we had worked this out already” Martha frowned; she thought that there talk on the beach had maybe sorted things out a bit, maybe they wouldn’t argue and fight with each other, but she was wrong.

“We did” he told her simple not wanting to go into detail.

“Then why are you acting like this?” Martha wanted to know. He didn’t even bother to make conversation or care about anything, it wasn’t like Jack,

“Acting like what” Jack asked her raising his voice. He soon lowered it as he felt a lot of eyes on him. “What do you want me to act like?” Jack asked her softly.

“I don’t know” Martha answered back disappointedly “I just thought we could go back to normal and be friends” she added.

“Is that what you were excepting” Jack asked her, he was actually surprised hearing Martha say that. Did she really think things between them would be fine now? That everything would be normal especially now that she had a boyfriend?

“Yeah” she replied, not knowing what to say. Jack let out a loud sigh.

“I guess I could try that” he replied, not knowing why exactly he had said it. He knew very well that he and Martha could never be friends. There way too much history behind them. But he was willing to say anything that would make her happy now. He hated it when she looked sad, he just wanted to comfort her and that wasn’t possible right now.

“Thank you” Martha smiled up at him as she placed her hand on his shoulder again. But Jack flinched away; he didn’t want her touching him. Martha’s touch had so much effect on him; it was a reminder of what he couldn’t have

“So I’ve got an early day tomorrow, I’ll see you around” he replied quickly as he stood up trying to leave, he knew it might look suspicious as he had arrived only a couple of minutes ago, but he had to get out of there.

Martha just shook her head in confusion, she had no idea what was going on in his mind.

***

“So I’ll definitely see you tomorrow” she told him giving him a soft kiss on the lips.

“Good I’m looking forward t it” he said as he pulled her closer. They were both standing out the front of Noah’s as she was saying goodnight to him.

She slowly let go if him and began to walk home. On the outside she seemed totally fine and that she was coping, but she wasn’t she was a much different person on the inside.

In the distance she watched as a man and women hugged each other. She looked away no matter where she looked there was happy couples, who seemed so perfect, they were everywhere. She focused her attention back onto the individuals as they hugged each other. Looking closer she recognized the familiar figure.

She rubbed her eyes, making sure she was seeing right, it couldn’t be? What was he doing?

“Robbie” she whispered to herself.

Pretty long chapter coming up

Chapter 29:

She looked even closer making sure she wasn’t mistaking. It was defiantly Robbie with some other girl she had never seen before. She never would have guessed Robbie would do this especially to Tash. She was her best friend how was she supposed to tell her that.

She watched as Robbie pulled away from the hug and looked around making sure no one was looking and then quickly headed of home. Martha’s eyes stayed focus on the other girl. She was around Martha’s height with long black hair she was either not living here or was new to this town because Martha had never seen her before.

Martha slowly walked over to the bench and sat down. The cool breeze was blowing her hair everywhere, but right now that wasn’t her main concern. She had other things on her mind. Was she meant to tell Tash what she had just seen? Or was she supposed to hide it from her? She knew how hurt Tash would be if she had found out, she knew this because Martha had gone through it herself; the only difference was that Martha had seen it herself.

She just wanted to yell at Robbie. Martha had known him from the second she moved to the bay. He wasn’t like this; this wasn’t the Robbie she had grown so close to, he was a completely different man.

Deciding whether to head home and get a good night sleep or go and clear her mind with the thoughts. She chose the second option she knew she couldn’t sleep anyway.

***

“Okay, okay I’m coming” Jack replied as he stood up from the couch. Someone had been knocking on his door impatiently. It was already past 11 o’clock and he was just drifting of to sleep. He wondered who it would be this time of the night

He slowly opened his door, recognizing the familiar figure.

“Hey, I hope I didn’t wake you up” Martha said as she entered.

“Uh, no I wasn’t asleep just resting” he replied distracted he wondered what she was doing here “What’s wrong?” Jack added as he noticed it wasn’t the usual happy Martha he normally saw.

She stayed quiet unsure of what to say, she didn’t even know why she was here, she wasn’t really going to tell Jack what she just saw Robbie do? Was she?

“Is this about before?” Jack asked. “Because I just want to forget about it and these fights and try to be fri-“Jack tried to finish but Martha cut in.

“No it’s not about that” Martha told him. She was prepared to tell him, but nothing came out. “You know what I’m just going to go” she told him, feeling embarrassed that she had come over all this way.

“Wait, no way are you going anywhere” Jack said as he pulled her by the arm and dragged her to the couch. “It must have been something important” Jack asked noticing his hand was still attached to hers; he slowly dropped it and waited for Martha’s reply.

“Don’t worry about it” Martha tried to stand up, but Jack pulled her back down this time holding onto her making sure she didn’t leave.

“How can I not worry?” he asked.

“I had no one else to tell this to” she began. “I don’t know why I’m even here, it’s not like I can tell you” she replied.

“Martha’ what’s wrong” Jack eyes now turned into sadness. He was really starting to worry. “Is it Dean has he done something?” he wanted to know

“No it’s not that”

“Then what is it?” he asked. “C’mon you can tell me” he pleaded

“Can I really?” Martha asked razing her eyebrows. She knew that Jack would know exactly what she meant. It’s not like she had much trust in Jack, but somehow tonight this had dragged her back to him.

“Martha if you came here to talk to me about the past and not having any trust in me, I seriously don’t want to hear it I think I’ve had enough of that” Jack told her annoyed, she had made it all this way just to tell him this.

“What do you expect me to trust you know? Like you did nothing wrong? How am I supposed to tell you? It’s not that easy” she told him, trying to not get upset. His conversation had gotten totally out of hand no longer was it about what she had indented for it to be at the start.

“Well….” he began picking her hand up and placing it in his. “You can make it easy” he told her. “Just give me another chance to prove to you that you can trust me” he asked her.

Martha looked down at their joint hands. She wanted to let him in and tell him. But could she really do that, how did she know he wasn’t going to go and tell everyone. There was only one way to find out.

“Okay…” she replied after a long silence.

“Good, now we are getting somewhere” Jack smiled at her pleased with his accomplishment. “Now you can tell me why you’re here..” he began.

“Okay Jack, but I swear to god if yo-“

“Relax” he cut in. “Trust me. Remember?” he smiled at her. “So do tell me what this is all about” he asked.

“Just before when I was on my way home I saw something” Martha began her story. “I was just saying goodbye to Dean when I saw Robbie up further in the distance, and the next thing I saw was another female with him and it looked like they were getting so close. Just back at Noah’s he had made up some excuse that he was seeing a friend. He had practically lied to Tash to go out and see this girl” Martha finished, looking up at Jack

But she got the unexpected reaction. Jack began to laugh, he couldn’t believe Martha had came all this way to tell him that.

“It’s not funny” she shoved Jack in the chest.

“Don’t you think you’re over reacting just a bit?” Jack asked. “I mean how do you know that it isn’t just a friend or maybe someone from work or a Family member or maybe it was even Tash” he continued to laugh.

“Jack I’m not completely stupid I think I know what my best friend looks like. Why would Robbie lie to Tash and tell her that he was just seeing a friend, when it was obvious they were more than friends” Martha asked.

“Well did you actually see them do something or are you just assuming?” Jack asked.

“I came while it was happening. Robbie was kissing her on the cheek and they hugged for ages” Martha replied. “And I’m sure it’s not someone I know because I would have seen her around” she told him.

“I still think you’re over reacting” Jack replied.

“Overreacting? Jack you should have seen how close they were” she tried to make her point.

“Then why don’t you go and tell Tash, I mean she deserves the right to know” Jack asked turning serious.

“But I don’t want to hurt her, shouldn’t Robbie be the one to tell her and plus she loves him so much I don’t want to ruin it. Oh and there’s also a slight possibility that I might be wrong...” Martha admitted.

“Well I’m sure Tash would like to know if Robbie is actually cheating on her. Wouldn’t it be easier if she heard it from you, maybe she wouldn’t be as hurt?”

“You obviously have no idea what It feels like having someone cheat on you” she told him looking straight into the eye. “Well I do Jack it’s the worst feeling in the world, to have someone you love go of with someone else” Martha finished of.

Jack looked away. He hated it when she brought it up; he couldn’t take anymore of this.

”I can’t do this anymore…” he paused before continuing his sentence “I’m sorry for what I did and you know it everyone does. What I did was a mistake I’ve told you so many times. I know that doesn’t excuse for what I did but if I had the chance to take it all back I would. I’d give anything to have it back to how it was, I’d give anything to have you back” he told her.

Martha tried not to look at him, she just felt like she could cry, she was just hurting as much as he was.

“I’m sorry” Martha began as a single tear rolled down her eye.

Jack automatically felt bad for raising his voice at her, he knew he shouldn’t have done it, he was in the wrong. He quickly moved forward cupping her face and wiping away the tears nothing hurt his as much as when Martha cried, he couldn’t watch her so broken.

He used his thumb to wipe her cheeks. “I just want to move on from this, but I can’t, I don’t want to let you go” he told her the truth. “I love you so much” he told her. Martha couldn’t keep the tears anymore she just let them all out. Jack pulled her closer wrapping his hands around her waist as she placed her head on his shoulders. She held on as tight as she could. She knew she wanted him as well
