I thought it was silly that they edited Phoebe's Christmas song the other night so that she didn't say "crap." The Simpsons has been getting away with "crap" for years

For those who don't know, the intro goes: "Went to the store, sat on Santa's lap. Asked him to bring my friends all kinds of crap. He said all you need is to write them a song. They haven't heard it yet so don't try to sing along... So don't sing along..."

Channel 10 have gone from being cool to being ultra conservative before 7pm. Which is ridiculous, because as soon as they hit 7, they're running The Biggest Loser with all the language uncensored

It's stupid IMO. Like you said, the Simpsons have gone further, just because it's a cartoon doesn't mean the themes and dialogue isn't real.

I haven't seen today's episode that many times so I'm not sure if they cut much more out, but the ending seemed very bad, how Kathy ran in thanking Monica... It seemed something had just been cut, and then the end credits played over the opening theme song... Like I said, I haven't seen the episode that many times so I'm not sure if that is the proper ending.

Tomorrow's episode is one of the best of all times, so I hope Ten don't touch a second of it.

They did it again! :o

Cutting out one word which would have had no impact what so ever, when Monica screams "Gaygus!" naming the Las Vagas 'happy' show that Chandler's dad works on... There was absolutly no effing point to cutting that word out, just because it made reference towards homosexuals... Heck, Ten have aired many episodes of the Simpsons during the 6pm timeslot where they make many references towards homosexuals and they get away with it.

Gaaaah! Just really cut. :(

Gaygus isn't even a word

They'd have been better off cutting the whole question, because it made absolutely no sense.

Monica: "VIVA LAS-"

Chandler: "Sadly, that is correct."

Why is the partial name "Viva Las" something Chandler would be ashamed of ???

Only because it's airing at 6pm. When it was on at 7pm, everything was fine. Same thing happened with Futurama <_<

If they MUST make these stupid cuts, couldn't they at least do them so that they made sense? Why leave the set up for a joke, and then cut the actual joke? It's just ridiculous.

^^ That is ridiculous! How are you supposed to enjoy the show if they cut the end of the jokes? <_< Glad they don't do it here. Friends is on at 8pm here so they don't cut anything. Actually, I don't think they would cut anything at all even if it was on at 6 pm.

^Pay TV is like that here. They can get away with whatever they want by saying "we recommend the use of the parental lock out system" on all of their programming, even the stuff that would normally be safe to watch, because the ads they run... aren't. In a PG episode of Friends, you'll get ads for Sex and the City (showing partial nudity and flashes of sex toys), and Six Feet Under with the uncensored line, "If there's any justice in the universe, she's shoveling sh*t in Hell." I love Six Feet Under, and that is a funny line... but I wonder how necessary it is to run ads like that during a PG show. You have to wonder what the point is to rating the program at all.

I seem to have wandered a little off topic, but it's 6.30AM! I'm going to sleep!

It airs at 5pm here on E4, and they tend to cut it often. Although I've never understood why, because they've aired it for a few years now, and I'm sure most people that have seen it would know what was said.
