Drew Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 This whole week has been bad. Even the episode when Phoebe and Rachel were trying to crack Monica and Chandler... It's getting worse!
Miss Tan Tan Posted April 11, 2008 Report Posted April 11, 2008 Yeah even I'm annoyed at this. I'm thinking maybe they think making sex jokes at that time of day is wrong? Who knows!! But if it keeps happening I'm going to stop watching!
Formerly Known as FKAJ Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Yeah even I'm annoyed at this. I'm thinking maybe they think making sex jokes at that time of day is wrong? Who knows!! I'm sure that is why they do it. But when they cut jokes mid sentence and inexplicably leave other jokes in that pretty clearly relate to sex, that's where it becomes a whole new level of annoying.
moonpie Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 The other night in "The one where everyone finds out" - they cut lines short. Chandler : I'm glad we're going to be having all the .... They didn't let him say sex! I don't understand why they can't say the word, it isn't like the word is bad - there is an add screened earlier during the day that mentions the word sex.. I don't get it.
Miss Tan Tan Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 But then they show The Simpsons ep when flanders is doing some hollywood bimbo?? Come ON!! Thats just pure crap!! Show the whole friggin episode!!
emmasi Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 As I've said before, all cartoons are appropriate for children because they are cartoons. Be they sexual, violent, or in anyway amoral or evil. I'm surprised they don't show South Park on Play House Disney. Oh, but it's not a Disney production. That would explain it.

They said it on Nine and Arena all the time, since it's moved to Ten on a 6pm timeslot, they cut out all the jokes. Little worthless words. No one is going to ring up and complain because someone mentioned the word sex. Just because someone mentions it on a cartoon is no different, it's just a word. And it's said all the time during the news. The word has no meaning, just f*cking stop cutting out all the jokes! I don't know why I watch it on Ten because I always end up fuming at them by the end of the episode... I just love the show too much it's hard to resist it when it's on
Miss Tan Tan Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 The jokes make it!! If it wasn't for the jokes I don't think I would have ever watched friends (other then for Matt LeBlanc )
moonpie Posted April 12, 2008 Report Posted April 12, 2008 Drew I am right there with you! It doesn't make any sense to cut pieces of the episode, they have a half hour time slot - it was meant for a half hour time slot - so its not like they need to chop a bit here and a bit there to make it fit for that 30 min slot they have there I have it on in the background just because I love Friends but I do prefer watching it on my DVD's - at least they say "sex" Like you say Drew sex isn't even a bad word - Homer and Marge used to get up to more than saying the word on that same time slot. Not bagging the Simpson's because I do love it - but kids are exposed to more on Simpson's than they are by Chandler saying "sex"
