Danni02 Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Friends is the best tv program! I love it. Although i find myself not watching the Emily episodes as much as the others! I think the episode when Rachel teaches Ben pranks has to be one of my favourites!
halcyon06 Posted March 30, 2009 Report Posted March 30, 2009 Friends is the best programme ever. Im sorry but it so is! I love Ross. Even though Im a huge Jennifer Aniston fan, David Schwimmer has got to be the funniest. Its just his expressions...they get me every time!
Drew Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 I love Ross in TOW Ross is Fine. That has to be one of his funniest episodes!
Slade Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Yep Friends was definitely legendary. It was one of the best sitcoms of its time and no matter how frequently you watch it you never grow tired (well that’s just me personally). It’s on E4 all the time and I really don’t mind that they won’t stop showing it. I think I liked all of them (bar Phoebe of course as I could never really warm to her). A lot of people I knew found some of their one liners stupid but at times I found them hilarious. Some of my best moments/episodes include: -The time when Ross hears the message on his answer machine from Rachel telling him that she likes him, “You’re over me. When were you under me?” -The episode where Ross makes the list about the good and bad points regarding Rachel and Julie (I think her name was). Rachel then finds the list and looks absolutely devastated, “Imagine the worst things you thought about yourself, and the person you trusted most in the world not only thought them too but used them as reasons not to go out with you” Ouch! -When they were all watching a video of Ross when he’s getting ready to the prom and gets dressed up to go with Rachel and was just about to take her and gets snubbed because her original date who stood her up arrives. And when Rachel sees Ross’s face on video gets up, goes over to him and kisses him. -When Emily returns and wants Ross to stop seeing Rachel and he tells her and again puts her hand across her chest looking very distraught and Ross replies “The good news is we can still see each other till she gets here” and Rachel start’s clapping “Lucky me!”. -When Ross’s finds out that Rachel talked his girlfriend into shaving her hair off so he would find her unattractive thus increasing her chances of getting back with him. -Shortly after that when they were in bed together and she was saying how glad she was he was able to admit that he was totally in the wrong before regarding their first break up (and her long note) and you could see the anger boiling up by his facial expression and then it cuts out to the rest of the gang and you could hear Ross shout “WE WERE ON A BREAK!!!” -When Brooke Shields (can’t remember the name of the character she played) has dinner with Joey (because she actually thought he was really Dr Drake Ramoray) and someone in the restaurant has a heart attack then collapses and they ask for a Doctor and she points to him. His reaction was a picture. -When Joey first figures out that Chandler and Monica were seeing each other and they grab him and drag him into Monica’s bedroom. -When Ross was having anger management (I think) regarding his job and sees Chandler stripping Monica and he shouts “Get of my sister”. -The episode where Ross goes out with a really attractive lady that has a really dirty apartment and she dumps him because she thinks that he isn’t clean enough and Monica goes there at the end to clean it up. No doubt a trait of her obsessive/compulsive disorder. -When Ross and Rachel get drunk in Las Vegas, get married and just afterwards Chandler and Monica see the come out of the chapel, announce they are husband and wife and look at them in sheer disbelief -When Ross catches Joey and Rachel kissing and he looks absolutely gobsmacked and opens his mouth in shock. Joey tries to talk to him but he’s still staring into space and then he waves his finger in front of his face. Then I think Rachel suggests that they make a run for it and he still had the same shocked expression without moving an inch (that was one of my absolute favourites). Those are the ones I can think of from the top of my head but I’m sure there are many more. And yes I was biased towards Ross and Rachel as you can tell from above.
xGlowingAngelx Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 I sometimes feel like the only Friends fan that wasn't a Ross/Rachel shipper. I mean, they were OK, but I always preffered Mondler and - dare I say it- Rachel and Chandler (The potential there was amazing. My 2nd fave AU ship ever!) Of course, it'd have caused uproar because of the Lobster fans, but it could have had a lot of potential. Saying that, the way I have it played out would probably be more suited to a soap opera than a comedy series. Watching the episodes on E4 before reminded me of just how much I disliked series 3. Not sure why, I just don't like it as much as the others. Saying that, I don't enjoy series 5 as much as the others either. Series 1 and 7 were my faves.
rachel&kim Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Most of my favourites are Ross and Rachel moments as well! One of my favourites is when they've broken up and they're dating other people. But Ross's date actually uses him as a babysitter and Rachel's is still in college and steals from her. It's a funny one. Another one is the one where Ross is fine. 'My fajitas!' It's great. I have so so many but it would take forever to list them all, I own them all of them and literally could rewatch them forever. It was just such a brilliant show. I know there's been talk of them making a movie but I'm just not sure that they should, just like I don't think Matt should have continued with 'Joey'. Friends was amazing, but I think they should leave it on it's pedastle.

Season 3 & 5 would be two of my favourites! :L Along with 4, probably thats around the time it got really popular. Season 7 was ok but not great IMO. I guess it just depends on our likes/dislikes! But I love all the seasons, and all the episodes.
rachel&kim Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 I don't really have any favourites, but I think the earlier ones were consistently brilliant and the later ones lost the shine a bit. I think season 8 and 10 were the least great. I just miss that feeling when you realise you're watching an episode you've never seen before! Definately haven't had that in a looong time.
princess_in_pink Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Mondler is my favourite relationship too. I love them. <3 I think that's one of the reasons why season 4//5 is my favourite. The whole hiding their relationship. One by one finding out. The funniest reveal was probably Phoebe. "MY EYES MY EYES!!!!!!" Season 5 had some epic moments. The Ross//Rachel wedding and the birth of "Regina Phalange". It had some of my favourite moments including "PIVOT! PIVOT! PIVAAAAAT!!!". LMAO!!!! Gets me. Everytime. I think the outtakes for that scene is even more funnier. Lol! I did love the whole Ross//Rachel on & off relationship. The whole "On a break" is hilarious! Although I'm more of a Mondler fan, in the final episode where Rachel gets off the plan gives me chills. Almost always. I adore Chandler. His awkward jokes do it for me. Then closely followed by Ross. The was he says some word crack me up. ^Like "My fajitas!"& "It tastes like Feet. =L" Those two a great. I honestly don't think much of the girls. I like Phoebe. She has her moments. Monica&Rachel are a bit blah on their own. But it's hard not to like anyone of the Friends. They're all great.
rachel&kim Posted March 31, 2009 Report Posted March 31, 2009 Oh god 'PIVOT' How did I forget that!! That was a truly hilarious scene. I like Rachel the most of the girls I think, I feel that Monica and Phoebe went a bit down hill as the seasons went on. If you watch Phoebe at the end she's sooo different from how she was in the first couple of series. She used to be so kooky! And then she just got a bit more serious and a bit more arrogant and just really a bit annoying. And with Monica they started to use her OCD tendancies more and more and by the end that was really her only joke and it got a bit dull. I preferred her in the beginning when she was more laid back. I think Joey got better as time went on, Ross and Chandler were consistently awesome. My sister doesn't like Ross. I nearly fell off my chair when she said that. But I agree with you, as a group, you can't not like them.
