I don't know, I think I have quite a soft spot for some of the things I write, not that I think they are good, but that you just get the feeling of satisfaction from, or if you really get to know a character your writing or you just have a really clever line or a good description, or the storyline itself, or the writing style... I will always have a soft spot for things like Trasnear Beach, or Jilnian High. Taking JH for example, the characters I love, particularly Anna - Her background amazes me sometimes, how she got through it all, and yet never talks about it, or how in Kate and Brooke even in the 16 years they were seperated they were leading basically the same lives and how their lives interlocked in dreams. In the end Kate, who was a talented writer, wrote a book about a girl she 'met' in a dream, and in actual fact she was writing about, although she didn't know it, Brooke. Anyway, those storylines have actually lead me to continue on writing it, because I created a sort of soft spot.

I was thinking in work today (well, I was working at the same time - okay, don't believe me then! - but it was pretty boring, just data input :P ) about what any other fanfic authors' favourite fic is out of those they've written. For myself, I have a soft spot for Always and Forever because everyone seemed to love that and I guess promises to keep had its moments but my own personal favourite is Sally Called! because all I ever knew about that fic was that Milco was going to be kidnapped and what the last couple of lines of the story were going to be - plus I didn't know ANY of the earlier characters but I ended up knowing them quite well. So, yeh, I was really proud of that. :)

What's everyone else's faves out of their own work? Kat, if you're reading, I'd choose Return to the Bay for yours, what about you...?

I think my favourite would be "Undercover Cop". Because.. the name just makes me laugh. :P It was my first fic, and I think for that reason it will always be special. :P

However, "Martha's Secret" was the first fic where I'd made anyone cry, so that's special for me. Also, I'm quite fond of my Colleen fics as they are so fun to write! Probably the "Muffins of Love" is my favourite.

I think Damage Control would be my favourite, I've put a lot of time into it and it has turned out beautifully, but Love-Lost was pretty good to, during my Lucas/Cassie, um, worshiping . Unlike others, I wish to erase any memories of my first two fics (Crash and Crash: Wedding), they were so, un-well written

Well, there are definitely some I'd like to forget. Those Three Words, Repercussions and Undercover Cop 2. Not only for the lame titles (though Returning Emotions is immensely lame too :P) but for the cringeworthy story's. I mean, I write JM - it's going to be a load of mushy/dramatic/angsty crap put together but... wow. In these stories I realised this WHILE I was writing it that it was bad. And it's pretty hard to write stuff while cringing. :P

My favourite is my catfic! AKA, "A Cat For The Flat" :D. Also the sequel, "A Cat For The Flat: Christmas Special" ^_^

2004 and After the Crash have huge sentimental value for the sheer amount of work and time I've put into them (and Randy...), but the catfics... they're just so sweet and simple, and fun for the whole family. Also there are kitties ^_^

I've changed mine - Damage Control is still my favourite at the moment, but Love-Lost holds so much sentimental value, but I'm pretty sure the fics I'm writing at the moment and haven't posted will soon become my favourites - Strada andare Italia (a Gaden fic) and Miss Mona's No No Rules (Based on the song) - a bit of fluff based on each of the rules.

I haven't written a fic for a long time, though Desire and Despair would probably be the one I've enjoyed most writting. It just had so much drama, twists and emotions and catfights which I love in a story... I had all these stories planned and the end was looming, yet something happened while I was writting the story and I just stopped writting in like 30 chapters in... It makes me sad not finishing it now

I'm in the process of writting a new fic, putting a fair bit of effort into that and because I have a habit of not finishing fics I won't post it until it's complete  My own personal goal.

I didn't know who to say this to or where to put this thread, and you can move it where you like, but I just wanted to say thanks to those in charge for tidying up the fan fiction section and putting my stories in the Northern Districts Library. I am flattered to be put in a library. [i've just noticed so hopefully it wasn't done months ago  ]
