HUNTER

Moving to Summer Bay has had to be one of the best choices my father has made. We may of moved here for a silent revenge, though it’s hard to resist the temptation of the girls here in the Bay. First Belle, now Martha, could life get any sweeter? Falling for a married woman was definitely not my intentions especially that I have a girlfriend, but it’s hard to resist her and that’s why Martha and I took a step forward in our relationship; regardless of the consequences.

As Amanda Vale drowned her sorrows in the guestroom of the Patterson-Baker house, she couldn’t keep up with the on-going events which were changing her life. First her house burned down, Peter Baker had dumped her at the alter and now Belle was beginning to sink Desire into the quick sands of Summer Bay. It was too much rejection for her, and that was one thing Amanda couldn’t handle, rejection. As she continued to drink a full bottle of Vodka at eight in the morning, she received a visitor from what has appeared to her, her only friend- Dennis Gillian. As Dennis sat beside her on the bed he could clearly see that Amanda wasn’t coping well and even though she created sour sins in the past, he could see the consequences brewing in, consequences that Amanda was having trouble facing. Dennis placed his arm around her for several silent moments, until he asked her how she was coping. Amanda sculled down the last drops of the Vodka and slyly smiled.

“What do you think?” Amanda rudely said as she got up and placed the bottle in the bin.

“Have you spoken to Belle since the other night?”

“No… And I’m not expecting to either. I don’t want to see her right now, after what she’s done to me… She has no idea what she’s doing to Desire! With her coming clean like that sales are going to go down! Designs aren’t going to be as flash as they would normally be… Oh god, without Belle’s designs I’m going to need a new designer…” Amanda slowly said as she sat down.

“…Well who are you going to ask?” Dennis asked slowly. Amanda stared around the room beginning to think. If Josie and Belle were going to play hardball with her, then she was game.

CHAPTER 21: The One With Martha And Hunter’s Step Forward

As the morning sun sat in the middle of the clear blue skies, Belle slammed the door of Josie’s apartment excitingly as she raced towards Josie who was eating breakfast. Belle passed the magazine in her hand to Josie to share the somewhat good news with her.

“We made it on the front page!” Belle smiled with glee. Josie stared at the front cover of Fashion Magazine, which appeared to be a picture of Belle, Amanda and Josie the night Belle made the announcement to drive Desire into the ground.

“Who would of thought something so tragic would put be placed on the cover?” Josie chuckled.

“I would so pay to see Amanda’s reaction right now.” Belle said as she sat down.

“So would I honey…” Josie said as she finished off her breakfast. “So… RLB designs? What exactly does that stand for?” Josie asked with a smile. Belle blushed.

“The three vices for what our company is going to be all about.” Belle said with an evil smirk.

“And are you going to share with me what those three vices are?” Josie smiled back.

“Think about it Josie… It will come to you in time… All in good time.” Belle sweetly smiled as she picked up the magazine and walked away. As Josie got herself up she stopped when she noticed a picture of Peter sitting on the other end of the living room. She stared at it for awhile, thinking about Peter. Thinking to where he had gotten too. Thinking about who has captured him… If the police weren’t going to do anything about the investigation, then she had too. Peter Baker is going to return in her arms, one way or another she thought.

As Martha walked down the stairs to the studio of Desire, she was hoping she’ll cross a man on her way there, a man called Hunter Gillian. Her married life was bringing her mood down and her career was boosting it up, knowing that she’ll be happy at Desire because of Hunter. As she began to get undressed, to get ready for a photo shoot, she heard the curtain opening behind her. Her smile turned to fear, beginning to think that someone was perving on her. Martha slowly turned around and smiled when she noticed the person behind her was Hunter.

“Oh… You gave me a fright. I thought someone was perving on me for a few moments there.” Martha said with a smile.

“Well you should be scared…” Hunter said scanning her body. “I kinda was perving.” Hunter said with a laugh as Martha kissed him on the lips.

“I’ve missed you.” Martha slowly said as she gave him another kiss.

“I’ve missed you too… You do know what we’re doing is wrong though… You’re with Jack, I’m with Belle.” Hunter said as he pulled away from Martha’s kisses.

“Yeah… I know… But, I thought you and Belle were just mucking around? Nothing serious?”

“Yeah we are… But you and Jack are married.” Hunter said as he held Martha in his arms. Martha didn’t reply to what Hunter had just said. Here in this place at Desire, she was a different woman, she didn’t want to think about Jack while she was here, all she wants is a bit of fun… And Hunter Gillian can give her that. Martha smiled as she gave Hunter nonstop kisses which began to turn into passionate kisses. As the heat in the little room began to flare, the two laid on the ground where things got a little more… Ugh, well, steamy. As the clothes came off, one thing began to lead to another and the two were completely naked on the changing room floor. As their eyes were shut as they continued to kiss, Martha washed away all her feelings for Jack as she began to go down with a new and younger man…

Amanda was home alone that day as Leah tried to keep things back on track at Desire. Bottle, after bottle, Amanda continued to drown her sorrows. As got up and stumbled into the kitchen, she stood with terror when she noticed something on the kitchen table, Fashion Magazine with her on the cover during Belle’s threat. Amanda raced over to the table where she picked it up and stared at it for seconds. Amanda screamed and threw the magazine to the wall. Amanda had finally lost it when she began to trash the kitchen, breaking down onto the floor crying in pain. She had lost everything, her life was coming to an end. As her eyes welded up with tears, she began to feel sick and she threw up on the floor, drowning herself in her own vomit. Amanda stumbled into the bathroom where she washed herself in the shower fully clothes as she continued to weep for her losses. Everything she worked for to get Desire off the ground was ruined. Everything she did to try and maintain her relationship with Belle fell to pieces. And with Peter missing, it began to make things a hell of a lot worse for her, even if he hated her with a passion.

As the sun began to set on a day Amanda wouldn’t forget, Jack walked into the station ready for his night shift to begin. As he signed a few forms and had his catch up talk with Fitzy, their conversation turned to the missing Peter Baker.

“Has any news came in about the new detective in Peter’s case?” Jack asked as he finished the last of the forms.

“Actually there is, they said the new detective should be here today, and that’s almost over…” Fitzy said as she sat down. Jack sighed, wondering what was going on.

“Well? When is he going to show up?” Asked Jack.

“She- has just arrived.” A female voice spoke in the background. Jack and Fitzy looked towards the doorway where a familiar blonde woman stood.

“Claire!? Welcome back!” Fitzy said as she gave Claire a hug.

“For some unknown reason it feels good to be back.” Claire said with a smile. “Any leads to where Peter has gotten too?” Asked Claire

“No… That’s why you’re here.” Fitzy said with a smile.

“True… And believe me when I tell you this, I am not going to rest until we find where the hell Peter has gotten too.” Claire said with a cheeky smile as she walked into her new office which was owned by her former lover.

As the darkness crept into a room, the noise of a door slamming in the background woke a messed up blonde male- Peter Baker. As Peter laid all alone on a cold cement floor, as he tried to move around to see where he was, he was distracted by the blurryness of his vision. Drewel began to slowly come out on one side of his mouth as Peter just laid there paralyzed without movement. Finding it hard to move, breathe, hear and talk. As the room began to get darker and darker Peter felt fear inside of him. He has no idea where he is and who has him. He also questioned to himself why he couldn’t move and why he couldn’t speak. It was all too much for Peter. Though the main question which surfaced in Peter’s mind was, where was he?

NEXT CHAPTER: As Martha and Hunter’s affair continues, they learn a consequence of what an affair can bring, so they prepare to tell Jack and Belle the truth. Two young residents think they’re pregnant, question is who is pregnant? And what’s that ticking noise in the background Peter can here?

First, yay that Peter is still alive. Well, at least kind of still alive. Let's hope he's not dead. Bet you he might just go into extreme paranoia now with the familiar ticking noise.

And the second yay is for Clare. So happy to see her. Let's just hope it doesn't become another love triangle. Actually, it's become more of a love circle more than anything now with all the women that Peter's involved with.

Martha and Hunter.... Yikes.... Dangerous.... Can't wait to see all hell breaking loose over that... I love how you portrayed Amanda in this chapter. It was done brilliantly.
