I guess she just wants Ric to be happy and she could see that Matilda was going to make him happy. Knowing Home & Away this will come back to bite Cassie back on the butt.

We havve just seen the episodes where Matilda was missing. It was great to see how Ric cares about Matilda. So in Belgium they are just friends but I think you can see the chemistry between them! Considering Cassie was in love with Macca the whole time she and Ric were together (third time round), I don't find it strange that she wasn't jealous. She was probably more relieved that he was finally happy, so she didn't have to feel guilty anymore. Her heart was never in it when they got back together; she seems to love him more like a brother these days.
