You can go back to bed if you want" Martha said. "No, I'll stay and keep you company" Jack replied. "Look at them Jack, how could they let her be taken away from us? She's our little girl, what are we going to do without her?" Martha cried. "Martha, I know what Rach said, but Abs is a fighter, if she gets stronger and they find a donor then, she is going to get better." Jack had realised that he had to remain positive. He was allowed to let it all out to Martha, but he also had to be there for her. "How do you know that Jack?" Martha asked. "Because she is a Holden, and we never stop fighting. I'm sure she's going to get better, but to make sure, we need to make sure that she gets a bit stronger so that she can have a transplant" Jack kissed Marthas cheek. "You're right, she will get better, we just have to make sure of it" Martha started to smile through the tears. "Exactly, we have to keep positive for them, you want to come back to bed now? We'll have to get up early tomorrow, you know what time they get up" Jack joked. "Yeah, once again you're right, you seem to be making a habit out of it lately" Martha kissed him. "Well you know, being the incredible guy I am, it just comes naturally" Jack replied. "Why did I say that? Now your head is even bigger" Martha walked back to their room. "You know you love me" Jack followed her. "That I am sure of" --- Like Jack had predicted, the girls were up incredibly early much to Martha's annoyance. She was definitely not a morning person. Jack looked at her staring into her coffee trying to keep her eyes open. He laughed at her, getting her attention. "What are you laughing at?" Martha asked "You! you don't seem very awake" Jack replied "That's because believe it or not, I'm not awake" Martha said in a sarcastic voice. "Well, I'm sure you'll be awake soon, you just wait, Amie will come running in in a minute singing High School Musical, she'll probably have it in Abby's head aswell" "Remind me again, why did I say she could have the CD?" Martha groaned. "Because, you were off with the fairies thats why" "I guess I'm gonna have to get it for her, she won't forgive me if I don't" Martha said. "When can I get it Mummy, when?" Amie came running in. "I'm going back to bed" Martha went upstairs. Amie and Abby followed her and watched as she held the pillow over her head, trying to get rid of the sound that would soon be created downstairs. "One, two, three" Amie said quietly, before Amie and Abby ran screaming into Martha's room and jumped on her bed. "GET UP GET UP" Amie kept on screaming. Then they started to jump on the bed, Martha still had the pillow over her head. "Right, that's it you two" Martha suddenly sat up, looking at Amie and Abby stood on the bed, they quickly ran out and down the stairs. Martha chased them trying to catch them but they ran behind Jack. "Jack move out the way, I'll make up for it later" Martha said. "Don't Daddy, don't!" Abby yelled. "I'm sorry girls, but your mothers offer is just too good to miss" Jack stood aside. "So Martha, what exactly did you want to do to make them pay?" Jack asked. "Oh you know just tickle them until they're begging for me to stop" Martha answered. "Nooooooooooooo" Amie and Abby ran off screaming around the house. Martha and Jack both ran after them, eventually catching them both. “Now before you pay, do you have anything to say to me?” Martha asked “Yes, I’m sorry for waking you up this morning, but I only did it because Amie told me to” Abby said. “Amie Holden, why am I not surprised?” Martha asked. “It wasn’t me honest, it was Abby, if it was me would you not buy me High School Musical?” Amie asked “If you told Abby to do it, then you won’t be getting the CD” Martha giggled. “It was not me, 100% not me” Amie repeated. “You sure about that?” Jack asked “I said 100% silly, you’re going deaf” Amie stuck her tongue out at Jack. “Martha, Jack, what are you doing to your children?” Natasha asked walking in. “Oh you know, just about to tickle them to death, nothing big” Martha replied. “Help us Aunty Tasha, help us!” Abby said. “Martha, let her go” Tash told Martha. “Make me” Martha replied. “Well, if you don’t then you won’t get to hear all about my date with Drew last night” Tash said. Immediately Martha let Amie go, and followed Natasha into the kitchen. “Spill now” Martha sat down. “It was amazing, Drew is incredible, I want to be with him all the time…” Tasha started. “My God you’re talking like a love sick puppy already.” Martha cut in. “Oi, shut it, just because Jack’s not as good as Drew, you’re just jealous” “I’ll have you know, Jack is better than any man I know and I love him to pieces, I couldn’t imagine my life without him” Martha said. “Talking about me?” Jack walked in. “Yes my gorgeous husband, I was just saying how wonderful you are” Martha kissed him. “Urgh, will you two get a room” Tasha moaned. “We have a room upstairs, we just choose not to use it” Jack said before going back to kissing Martha. “Well I suggest you do before Abby is aware of what you’re doing, I’ve heard all about your promise to her” Natasha said “She has a point babe, how about I make it up to you later like I said” Martha pulled away from Jack and went and sat back down. “So carry on telling me about your date, where were you before I got distracted?” Martha laughed “Well, at first he took me to the diner, and you know we just chatted and joked around, it was great. Then he took me to the beach, and it was so romantic at night.” Natasha started “It reminds me of our first date, walking along the beach that is, Jack cooked our meal” Martha looked at Jack. “Martha what exactly are you implying by that? That just because Jack cooked your meal he is better than Drew?” Natasha asked “In my eyes yes, but then no-one can beat Jack” Martha smiled lovingly at him. “Hmm, well I guess that if you’ve been through all of the stuff you have with someone that bond is hard to break” Natasha tried to get her attention but Martha was too busy watching Jack, who had now gone to play with Amie and Abby. “You really love him don’t you” Natasha observed “Who? Jack?” Martha asked “Who else?” “I couldn’t imagine my life without him” Martha said looking back over to him. “I’m never going to get your full attention with him around” Natasha muttered going to make a coffee. --- Hope you enjoy that, please R&R

swfc Posted January 7, 2007 Report Posted January 7, 2007 Okay, I only just read it.... Have just finished Chapter 3 of this fic... It's so sad.... I swear, by the end of it, you both might just convert me into liking J/M Jack's so funny. He watched Barbie.... So far, this fic is beautifully written.... Am off to read the next bits... Am determined to finish reading this today so that I'm in touch with what's happening. ETA: Just read chapters 4-6 and I have to say, they were the longest moments in my life! I practically stopped breathing because I was scared that Abby would die. Thank goodness that she didn't. I loved the family scenes. It's just great. Especially with Martha getting wet and all. Amie is so cute. You can't help but love her. Such a darling. I loved how she said that Abby could play with her dolls if she's just wake up. It's sooooooooo cute.... And, when Jack broke down, I was on the verge of tears. This is really, really great. ETA: I lost count of the chapters but these are the chapters from pages 10-15 I was on the verge of crying.... But, the happy chapter made it up.... Aw, I loved the scene in the hospital where Abby goes, "Little person here." That has got to be the cutest scene ever! And then when Amie and Abby were reunited. It was so sweet. Oh and Mac's pregnant... How cute... Another sad chapter.... Abby's hair falling out... It's so sad.... Come on, Jacky! Be strong for your family. Okay, at the rate this is going, I'm going to have to read the rest tomorrow. If I continue reading, I'll end up bawling for real. But, this is really, really great. Keep it up guys.
