Adia Posted March 19, 2007 Report Posted March 19, 2007 Ohhh, two updates! I guess that's what happens when I don't come in here for a week... I was sooooo happy while I was reading Chapter 28. Those girls are just the cuteness! Amie was cute how she was explaining how Jack and Martha needed a night alone together. Awwww... But then Abby went all unconcious! The ending as really good though, great cliffhanger! Can't wait to see what happens!

I'm going away for the weekend, so now you can all bug Becky to update... Thanks to Amy for proofing Chapter 30 Martha was still relaxing in the sun, although they were beginning to wonder what time Abby would come and join them. Martha moved her hand around in the bag trying to find Jack’s phone, so that she could see what the time was. There was one new voicemail she noticed. She listened to the message. “Jack it’s Luc, call me ASAP.” “Oh my god, what’s happened?” Martha asked herself; Jack was down in the water with Amie and Ellis. “Jack, Jack!” She called out, getting his attention. He soon came up the beach; Martha was already packing the stuff away. “Martha, what are you doing?” Jack asked confused. “Call Luc.” Martha passed him his phone. “What?” “Call Luc now.” Martha repeated and then carried on packing the stuff away. Jack realised that Martha wasn’t in the mood for an argument, so he rang Luc. He was just about to hang up when Luc picked up. “Jack, finally you’ve called me. You need to get down to the hospital, there isn’t time to explain, you just need to get down here right now” Lucas said. “Okay, we’ll be there as quick as we can.” Jack hung up. --- At the hospital, Luc still had no word on Abby’s condition, and Martha and Jack were taking their time to show up. “Where are you?” Lucas said to himself, hoping that they would soon run into the hospital, and see Abby. “Uncle Luc!” Ellis came running in and grabbed onto Lucas’ legs. “Hey Ellis, where are Mummy and Daddy?” Lucas asked. “We’re here. What’s happened?” Jack asked quickly. “It’s Abby…” --- One Hour Later Everyone had been sitting in silence for the past 45 minutes. No-one spoke, apart from the odd comment from Ellis about his new brother or sister. They still sat patiently waiting for a nurse to come and tell them what was going on. “Mummy, it’s moving” Ellis said, he was standing up in between Martha’s legs, with one hand on her legs for support whilst the other was on her stomach. “Yes, that’s right Ellis, it is” Martha nodded, a small smile forming on her face. If anyone could make her smile it would be Ellis. He didn’t understand the severity of the situation, and he didn’t see why everyone was so quiet. He was so young and naïve, not a care in the world. “Sharpay!” Ellis giggled. “No Ellis, we are not going to call it Sharpay” Martha chuckled slightly. “This is the effect the girls have on him, let’s hope that this little one is a brother for Ellis” Jack rubbed Martha’s stomach affectionately. Ellis went and sat down on the floor. He started banging some wooden bricks together that one of the nurses had given him. “Ellis be quiet” Amie said. Ellis carried on banging them together. “Ellis I said be, quiet!” Amie nearly yelled. Martha sighed knowing that there were tears to come. “Mummy” He wailed. “Ellis, come here. It’s alright; Amie didn’t mean to yell. Settle down for Mummy and Daddy now.” Martha soothed him. His cries soon subsided, as he crawled onto Jack’s lap. Jack looked across at Amie; she had been good since they arrived, apart from the last outburst at Ellis. “Amie, do you want to go get a drink?” Jack asked. Amie nodded in return. “Ok, let’s go. We’ll be back in a minute” Jack said to Martha. “Okay.” --- “Daddy…” Amie started. “Amie…” Jack said. “I think I should tell you something. Last night, Abby said that she didn’t feel very well.” Amie replied. “Who did she tell?” Jack asked. “Granddad and Nana.” “And what did they say when she told them?” “I don’t think they said anything, well Granddad didn’t.” Amie said. “What do you want to drink?” Jack asked changing the subject; he would have a chat with his Dad about this later. If only he had called him and told him that Abby wasn’t feeling very well. They might not be in this situation. --- They were soon allowed in to see Abby. Tony and Beth had arrived aswell, so Abby’s room was rather crowded. Jack decided that he wanted to talk to Tony about what happened last night. “Dad, can I just talk to you for a minute?” Jack asked. “Course, mate.” Tony followed him out of the room. “Look, basically Amie told me that Abby was complaining about feeling ill last night. Is it true?” Jack asked. “Yeah, but I didn’t think anything of it, I thought it was homesickness” Tony replied. “Well you should have called me, I’m her father, and I have a right to know. She wouldn’t be feeling homesick because she stays over at yours all the time. Why didn’t you call me?” Jack asked getting angry. “Because you and Martha deserved a night alone. You didn’t need me to burden you.” “You think my daughter is a burden?” Jack yelled. “No, I never said that mate.” “Well you implied it! I think you should just leave.” Jack said. “But you need me here.” Tony replied. “I don’t need you here with me. Please, just go, and take Beth with you.” “Ok, if that’s what you want, but I’ll call you later” Tony went into the room to get Beth. They soon left to leave Martha and Jack with Abby. Ellis and Amie sat in the corner playing together nicely for once. Luc had decided to go home with Beth and Tony, as he felt guilty about Abby’s condition. If he hadn’t let her sleep in then it might have been a different story. “Mummy, drink” Ellis moaned. “Ok, I’ll take you to get a drink then” Martha stood up. Ellis smiled. “We’ll be right back” Martha moved towards Ellis to pick him up, but she suddenly stopped. “What?” Jack asked noticing her sudden change in pace. “I think my waters just broke…” Preview: Becky writes the next chapter, so she decides!

Adia Posted March 23, 2007 Report Posted March 23, 2007 Anothr fic where Jack gets angry at Tony... lol. Awesome writing Emma, totally loved it. If anyone could make her smile it would be Ellis. He didn’t understand the severity of the situation, and he didn’t see why everyone was so quiet. He was so young and naïve, not a care in the world. So true... I loved that he was there to sort of ease the tension. Kids are so cute. Great cliffhanger! Becky I hope you're going to be nice! Can't wait to see more!
