Tasha Posted March 1, 2007 Report Posted March 1, 2007 Tim will move to the Bay right?? And in Brett's little speech about Jack's girlfriend or whatever, he didnt mention Martha having a boyfriend, who she dumped Jack for. So Martha is to blame just as much as Jack. So Brett has no right accusing Jacky of anything. Oh gosh, im supposed to be on Marthas side, sorry girly But the Macklins are total buttheads, except Tim. I like Tim Great chapter though More please

-ParaisGal- Posted March 7, 2007 Report Posted March 7, 2007 Chapter Thirty One. "Mayhem on mornings." Martha said grimly two days later, counting pieces of toast to put into the toaster. "If you need a hand we're always here." Sally said, smiling as Martha buttered Toni's toast. "No, I'm alright." She grinned at Sally. Sally had partially taken on the role of her mother, helping her with Toni and Isabel, when she or Jack were busy or struggling. "Alright, don't say I didn't offer." Sally said, laughing as she helped six-year-old Pippa put on her jacket "I'm taking Pip to school, then going myself." She told her. "Okay, have a great day!" Martha said, waving to Pippa. "Oh sorry." Sally apologised to the man in the doorway. Martha walked around the bench, looking curious "Tim!" She squealed, rushing to her brother. "Hey Martha." He said warmly "You haven't met Tyler yet, so Tyler, meet your aunty Martha." He smiled at his shy son. "Hey Tyler!" Martha said kindly "Want some toast?" She asked them both. "None for me but I'm sure that Ty will have some, won't you Ty?" He asked him, looking at the boy's nod. ----- "What brings you here?" Martha asked, after setting Toni up with some toys, and Ty up on the playstation. "Well, I was meant to be with the family for around a week. But, they wouldn't let the whole issue about you drop. So I left. In the middle of the night, to avoid maximum fuss, I packed my bags, and Ty and I left. I've decided to stay here for a while, I need a bit of a break. But, if I like it here my job can transfer me." He said, grinning. "You'll like it here. It's like the country. Everybody knows everybody, sure everyone knows everybody else's business, but it's not that bad. Just watch out for Colleen. Don't tell her anything you want kept a secret. She's the town gossiper, her and Madge Wilkins. Colleen works at the diner, Madge is mainly a baby-sitter." She said. "Alright, I might need to remember that name." He smiled. "Yeah, Madge is basically the baby-sitter everyone leaves their kids with. Leah leaves her kids there, so does Rachel, and so do I sometimes, so does absolutely everybody." She smiled. ----- "Tim hi." Jack greeted Tim. "Hi Jack." Tim said happily, leading in Tyler. "Hi, I'm Rachel." Rachel introduced herself. "Tim." He smiled "This is my son, Tyler." He introduced Ty. "I have a daughter, Marnie." She nodded to him, and smiled at Ty. "She not here?" He asked. "No, she's at day-care actually." She grinned to him. "Right." He nodded. "Madge Wilkins." Martha grinned. "Oh I've heard about her." Tim said. "Yes, I bet you have." ----- "So, Rachel, she married?" Tim asked. "Yup. Separated though. She's 33. Her and Kim have run into too many problems, and Rachel's worried about how Marnie handles it all. She's only five," Martha said, looking sideways at her brother "You have the hots for my best friend!" She exclaimed, giggling. "It's not like our ages are that different! I'm 31!" He exclaimed. "Well, maybe I might match make!" She laughed. "Maybe you shall." He nodded. ----- "Alright, I have to ask." Martha declared, heading into the house they still shared with Rachel, with the exception of the fact that Jack and Rachel co-owned it, and had expanded it. "What?" Rachel asked curiously. "What do you think about my brother." She grinned like a kid. "Why did I have the feeling this was going to come up?" She asked her. "Because it would. Now answer the question." "He's nice. He's friendly, he's a great dad to Tyler. But I'm sure I'm too old for him." She laughed. "Nope. He's 31." Martha informed her. "So you're playing match maker?" Rachel asked. "More or less." She nodded. ----- "You organised a date between Rachel and Tim tonight?" Jack said, looking at Martha in disbelief two weeks later. "Yes I did." She said, cooking dinner. Jack had come to drop off Isabel for dinner with Martha. "Wow, you sure don't wait long!" He laughed. "Well, Rachel's waiting for everything to happen with the divorce, and Tim was never married and hasn't been. Tim gets along with Mar, and Rachel gets along with Tyler. What more could we ask for in a happy couple?" She asked. "Talking about us?" Rachel asked, poking her head in Martha's doorway. "Yes, as it turns out." Martha smirked at her best friend. "Well..." Jack asked them. "You're going to be as bad as you're wife." Tim chuckled. "I'm sure of that fact. How'd it go?" Jack asked. "It went good." Rachel said, smiling up at Tim. "Very good." Tim grinned. NEXT UPDATE: How will Kim react?
