Traceve Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 I know I went through them, but... I was aware that I was a teenager and it would pass quickly. Maybe that helps. I dont think mine will pass, as it hasnt always been a celebrity, it was once a friend or a neighbour, not always famous people. But this time it is
MarMar Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 We never said it was wrong, just that'll pass as it's normal when you're a teenager. Of course adults can have obsessions too, but most of them are able to rezignize it for what it is and not act on it like some who wanted to shoot Nixon to get the attention of Jodi Foster.
MarMar Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 I know I went through them, but... I was aware that I was a teenager and it would pass quickly. Maybe that helps. I dont think mine will pass, as it hasnt always been a celebrity, it was once a friend or a neighbour, not always famous people. But this time it is What you have to separate is sexual feelings for people close to you, like a friend, a teacher etc, and sexual feelings for a celebrity, someone who you will, most likely, never get to meet, let alone spend any time with long enough to make him or her feel the same way. If you have sexual feelings for someone close to you, it might be just an exploration of your sexuality. although you say it won't go away, it might. I don't consider myself bisexual even though I have been madly in love with girls over the years and have had sexual contact with some. I don't call myself bisexual because I'm in a straight relationshop. I have never been in a girl/girl relationship, nor would I want to. Back to you - if the feelings you have towards members of the same sex persists through your adolescence, and you act on these feelings, of course there's a good chance that you're gay/bi, but... would that be so bad?
Traceve Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 Im not sure whether that is a good or a bad thing. But, Thanks once again for your help.
MarMar Posted July 12, 2006 Report Posted July 12, 2006 The way I see it, it's not bad to be bi or gay. The times are changing and by the time you're an adult, I hope that the world will be an even better place to be bi or guy. I can't tell you how it will be, bor how it is now, to be gay where you live, but hopefully the people there are educated enough to not really care what sex the person you love is.
MarMar Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 Hi, guys.. I probably won't be here for a while. Some of you know that I've been having problems for quite some time. Well, it's not just depression anymore. It's moved onto the start of an eating disorder, only.. I'm aware of it as I've been down that road before.
Emmadolly Posted July 13, 2006 Report Posted July 13, 2006 Mer, if you can see the signs coming, and it is upsetting you enough to tell us that you wont be here for a while. Will you please ask for some help. I have said before that i have suffered from down periods in my life. You have made the first move in saying that there is a problem. The second one , is doing something about it. You are so young with your life ahead of you, and you should be enjoying it to the full darling.
Emmadolly Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 Mer, are you ignoring me?. As i want to help you, even though i don't really now you. But i do want to help you.
Jess Posted July 14, 2006 Report Posted July 14, 2006 There's so set way to deal with it (ie no 'supposed' way). Everyone deals with it differently, and each of these ways are equally valid.
