The little ice people say that they know from their ancient history “mind uploads” (no longer any books or even computers in the year A.D. 1 002 008) that there was a time rift located in a place called the Beachside Diner in Summer Bay. It started when the Diner began to suffer subsidence as bits of time fell through the rift in A.D. 2008. Sadly, the Diner has long since disappeared and Peter and Bridget must think of a way to determine the location of the old Diner way below the ice, then dig down to the site to access the time rift.
