CHAPTER 5

Eve woke up, thinking that spending last night on the couch wasn't as uncomfortable as she had thought it would be. She looked down at her feet to see a sleeping Tracey. 'Awww she looks so cute asleep sucking her thumb like a baby!' Eve joked. Carefully watching her step not to trip over Tracey, she managed to reach her mobile phone which she had left on the dining table. She picked it up and turned it on. 1 Message recived. It was from Jack. He wanted her to meet him at the Diner in half an hour.

There he was, Eve greeted him, trying to look happy. Jack there's uh something I have to tell you. 'That you love me?, I already know that babe.' Actually, it's not that. I am sorry but I never loved you, I thought I did but when Tracey returned, I realised my life is with her, sorry'. She kissed him on the cheek, turned and left. She had to rush home before -------

'Eve, where were you?' Tracey said, shocked. 'I was umm, out'. Eve had to make something up on the spot; she hadn't told her about Jack, and didn't plan to now it was all over with him. 'Oh ok babe as long as you're here now right?'. 'Uh yeah, sure' She cracked a weak smile.
