How can we improve?

We could make a sticky thread in the Games Room for people to suggest games, that's been done before. However, my question in C&S didn't receive many responses.

It's been said a few times around here in different topics about a new thread or something for fics of other television shows. Maybe we could create a sub-forum in the Television thread in GC, with the story's title on top and the name of the show in the sub-heading. It's been tried before, but only in one topic and everything was everywhere... I'm not sure if alot of people here write fics for other shows, but it's just a suggestion.

Me, I'd be against that idea and it's for the same reason I said before, that this is a Home and Away site and something like that takes it to be more a just general hang out site for anything and everything.

So, for example, if you want to write a fic where Dawson and Joey get together, why not put it on one of thoses Fanfic sites or join a Dawson's Creek site, and if you want people here to read about, post in a relevant thread like the Dawson's Creek thread

J'agree. We're a Home and Away website, and although we have a General Chat section, we're not going to take it too far and add a dedicated general Fan Fiction section. As Ryan said, there are plenty of fan fiction sites out there, and they're probably a more appropriate place to post your fics.

However, by all means post them in General Chat. Just don't go overboard.

I believe that is something is done by me, Dan or Chris it goes uncredited, anyone such as Martin Cah (Tom Fletcher), the episode summaries currently being uploaded etc that is "donated they are credited.

Fair enough. I just like to know who has written things so I can thank them.

Now, I know I rarely update with anything particularly exciting, and this is a two way thing possibly, with annonymity of the contributor, but I rarely know whether or not people are interested in what is being put up.

Now I know from the thing I ran last year people wanted spoilers etc and I can't really provide that, but now the "You Say Goodbye" section has been completed and I'm not sure if people were interested in it or not, when I announce an update, does the fact that it contains references to Viv Newton and only has one picture put people off. Has anyone read it?

I think the "You Say Goodbye" section is great. I've been meaning to comment on it actually, it's the perfect example of a good reference feature, you find out how the character left and the episode they left in. It's a great resource. The only thing I think could be better (although it's hard to know them all) is if you included the episode numbers of the guest stints. I suppose more pictures would be good, but I don't really mind either way.

Didn't someone start a fanfic thread a while back, that never took off? Or was that just a general writer's thread? It doesn't bother me, becase all my fics get uploaded to ff.net, so the links in my sig for all mine together.
