I seriously considered abandoning this fic, but in the end (after a long emotional battle between my two personalities) I decided to continue with it! So thanks for all the feedback, and here is the next update:

ON THE BEACH.

Cassie is walking on the beach.

MACCA:

Cas! Wait up!

She turns around, glaring at Macca.

CASSIE:

What?

MACCA;

Where's loverboy?

CASSIE:

If you mean Rocco, he has enough respect for me to leave me when I need to be alone. Unlike some other people.

MACCA;

Like me?

CASSIE:

Yes. Like you.

MACCA;

Do you know what I think?

CASSIE:

No. And I don't care either.

MACCA:

I think you're still in love with me.

CASSIE:

Have you completely lost the plot now?

MACCA:

Come on, babe... you know what we had was...

CASSIE:

Special? Guess what, what Rocco and I have is special too. I love him Macca, and if you try to get between us I will never forgive you.

She glares at him one last time before storming off angrily.

SOMEWHERE ELSE ON THE BEACH (Oh, what a large beach this is.)

Mattie is sitting next to Robbie, looking at him tearfully.

MATILDA:

This is my fault.

ROBBIE:

Mattie! How can me getting ill be your fault?

MATILDA:

I must have done something in the past... something I'm being punished for now.

ROBBIE:

How can you think that? It's not true!

MATILDA:

Then why does everyone I love die?

Robbie pulls her into a hug and she starts crying.

MATILDA:

I can't lose you, Rob!

ROBBIE:

And you never will.

MATILDA;

But you're dying!

ROBBIE:

That doesn't mean you're losing me, Mattie. I'll always be in your heart. Just like you'll always be in mine.

IN THE HOSPITAL.

Rachel enters Jack's room.

RACHEL:

Hey... how are you feeling today?

JACK:

All right.

RACHEL:

That's good!

JACK:

Yeah... I... I'm sorry for the way I've been behaving. It wasn't fair.

RACHEL:

It's perfectly understandable.

JACK:

Yeah.

RACHEL:

So are you ready to see your friends yet?

JACK:

No... I don't want to see them yet.

RACHEL:

That's okay. They all sent you their love though.

JACK:

Thanks.

RACHEL:

I'll check in on you again later...

JACK:

Yeah, sure.

She turns around to leave.

JACK:

Rachel?

RACHEL:

Turns around.

Yeah?

JACK:

Could you... I want to see Sally. Could you ask her to drop in?

RACHEL:

Yeah sure. I could do that.

JACK:

Thanks.

He lies back with a small smile as Rachel leaves.

FLETCHER HOUSE.

Sally and Peter are sitting at the kitchen table. Pippa is also sitting there, eating messily.

SALLY:

I feel so sorry for him. I just wish there was something else I could do.

PETER:

You've done more than enough for him. I need some attention now!

She laughs and kisses him. Pippa makes a face.

PETER:

What's that face?

PIPPA:

Eeeww!

SALLY:

I don't think she likes you kissing me Detective.

PETER:

Well she'll just have to get used to it!

He kisses Sally again and Pippa makes vomit-sounds, causing Peter and Sally to break apart and laugh. Cassie enters, looking upset.

SALLY:

Hey Cas... what's wrong?

She starts crying and falls down on the couch.

CASSIE:

It's Macca... he's back and... he's trying to get between me and Rocco...

PETER:

What?

CASSIE:

He won't stay away from me, I don't know what to do...

PETER:

Well you could file a restraining order against him... if you want...

CASSIE:

That's a bit too drastic...

SALLY:

Well do you still have feelings for him?

CASSIE:

I don't know... I love Rocco... But Macca and I shared some special times... I don't know what to do, Sal!

Sally sits down next to Cassie and hugs her.

SALLY:

Just listen to your heart. Who do you want to be with?

CASSIE:

Rocco.

SALLY:

Then that's settled.

CASSIE:

But I don't want to hurt Macca.

SALLY:

Oh, Cas... I don't think you're going to have a choice.

IN HOSPITAL.

Martha is waiting in front of Jack's room. Rachel comes out and Martha looks at her, excited.

RACHEL:

I'm sorry, Martha. He doesn't want to see you.

MARTHA:

But...

RACHEL:

Look, don't take it personally. He doesn't want to see anyone, except for...

MARTHA:

For?

RACHEL:

Sally.

MARTHA:

What?

RACHEL:

Look, she was here, she talked to him. At the moment he feels like she's the only one who understands him.

MARTHA:

I see. Well... I'm going out. See you Rachel.

She storms off and Rachel frowns slightly.

Good on Cassie for choosing Rocco over Macca, I would of done the same. Poor Jack, I still want Jack/Sally stuff even if its just like the Jack/Tasha stuff  .I've got it, then only reason Jack gets hurt so much is to get the girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Matilda, its not her fault, I don't want Robbie to die :(
