Yeah, she had leukemia...I was happy that we finally found out why Steve and Miranda couldn't have any kids of their own...that's the first we've heard of it, unless I missed an ep...

I think Nicolas delusions are pretty real this time...

i didn't think they'd mentioned why Miranda and Steve couldn't have kids, unless i missed an ep too, good to clear that up.

Whoa. I had no idea that Nicole was only around to give blood to Miranda. Kinds of reminds me about the book My Sister's Keeper.

thats what i thought of when i watched it, also tying in with this in Engligh we're talking about whether it's right or not to have a baby for the soul purpose of saving another child's life,

Am I supposed to care about the Parkers? Coz I don't. I really, really don't. And I particularly hate Steve- would not have cared if he died at all. Nicola on the other hand is the exception and I think is awesome. She doesn't bore me half to death when she's on, the actress imo is great and despite her flaws she had some really genuine relationships which I found endearing, particularly with Toadie.

I really can't stand Elle but even I was on her side at her "suprise" Birthday party when she was having a go at Libby. If there is one character who I dislike more than anyone on that show it's Libby. I've missed quite a few eps here and there but a few weeks ago was she not mad at Dan for being a bit jealous that she slept with his brother? Call me prudish but that's not sleeping with any old blow Joe- it's his flesh and blood. It doesn't suprise me that he's not completely cool with the thought that his brother has been where he is. I'd be immenesly disturbed if he was. Gross. Just gross.

lol, I loved that scene with Lou smuggling meat pies into Steve's room. You could tell he wouldn't get away with it.

I don't know what to think about the new transitions in the recap. It must be part of the same thing as the increasingly common split screen shots.

Nicola's gone from the opening credits. I guess that probably answers the question of whether she really did think she was Miranda, they would have kept her around for her to be exposed. Not a totally satisfying ending, though.

People who are leaving Neighbours these days aren't really getting a greast send off. Nicole and Sienna just kind of...left.

as for the recap transitions, im still undecided, though as far as the split screen shots go, they work just about as much as slow-motion in H&A does. <_<

I completely agree 100%. I hate them all, always have, since the day they arrived. Actually, hate is a pretty strong emotion, one I'm not sure they really deserve. Miranda is my least favourite character at the moment, closely followed by Steve. Didge goes up and down but it's mostly down. And it is a shame that Nicola had to go completely crazy and leave. It's the same as Sindi, great storyline while it lasted but they can't really make a comeback now as the characters they were when they arrived.

I like the Parkers, I think Nikki had a better character in The Flying Doctors, but maybe the problem with them not working is that, compared to the Kennedy's which is an unfair comparison really, but the chemistry isn't particularly the best on screen I've seen - having said that, I prefer seeing them happy, they work better with the happier more comedic story lines imo. They don't seem like a stable couple, they seem to constantly be doubting each other - I hope they leave their marriage/trust issues alone now and concentrate on other areas, keeping the family more solid again, as it appeared to be when they first arrived.
