Yeah, I liked them when they arrived. It was Steve's refusal to let Bridget confess to her role in Chris's death, which happened the same week Riley left, that really jarred with me. For Miranda it was her attitude toward Bridget and Riley's mother. I've always liked Bridget, though, so the fact they've killed her off and not one of the others would have to be the second worst direction the show has taken recently.

On the other hand, their monumentally stupid decisions about the purchase of No. 26 were already irritating me before Riley left.

I think its better they killed of the more popular character (as the actor decided to leave anyway) rather than Miranda or Steve - as that wouldn't have much of an impact on the audience or the show.

I like that it was a horse that Steve had to avoid and not another car. It fit nicely with him being a vet, I thought, trying to avoid hurting an animal. Still, I don't think even an animal hater would want to deal with a horse on their bonnet, kicking out their windscreen... I've heard horror stories...

It happened down my road about two years ago. Two horses ran onto the road and one was hit by a car. The driver died straight away from the horse smashing through the wind shield. The horse was put down :(

^ :(

EDIT: Poor Dec :( I'll probably be in the minority here, but I liked the way Bridget's death played out in a dream sequence. It was pretty... and sad :(

^ That was brilliant. Best Neighbours death yet. Yes, even "I love you too Clarkey."

The clock thing was fantastic, as was Eloise - the combination made me simultaneously dread what was coming at noon and feel comforted that Bridget was mentally prepared for it.

James is going to be fantastic through this storyline.

The episode of her death was brilliant. Everyone was amzing in this episode but Eloise and James were simply perfect. What got me the most, was their eyes expression. The whole time, i felt like their eyes did the talking and not the lips. What got me teary was the moment Declan told zeke he was scared. His face was just extremly amazing. And when bridget looked at the clock she always had this scared and sad expression. The way she looked at the time when Donna hugged her, gave me the shiver.

Declans reaction to the news of her death was unusual, but faultless, perfect and fitting.

The aftermath of Bridget death was even sadder.

James acting is out of this world. It seems like he is living it, and not acting. Rebbeca and his scenes after his run was just heartbreaking. His run was fitting to his carachter.

Steve and Miranda also did an amazing job, as grieving parents. Rebbeca was great as always.

The cake scene shouldn't have been, i would have prefered seeing more of the teens and their reaction and grieving.

Neighbours, can be proud for the writing and acting of the last two episode. They deserve all credit.

I missed yesterday and I'm going to miss tonight too >.< The worst part is, I don't even have time to catch up properly! Who's do you think is going to take India!? :o

EDIT: Ah! I did get to watch tonight's after all! And as if I had to ask who the baby-snatchers were <_< Good on Declan for so politely telling them to sod-off! Imagine trying to take his child away the DAY after his wife dies... As if he's going to be in any state of mind to decide something like that! Their selfishness never ceases to amaze me. I'm so glad they're leaving!

The last three epoisodes have been amazing. If he want,Jamea has a big future i think. As someone else said, you'd almost think he was literally living it,not acting.

Miranda's self thinking behavior did have to rear its head again unfortunately! To be honest I didn't like the way they wrote Wednesday and Thursday's episodes and Steve and Miranda's exit all together really. It was all far too rushed, all that baby stuff wasn't needed and just took up screen time that could have been put to better and more emotional use. Coulnt we just explore the characters feelings on loosing their daughter rather than have it about the baby. I feel like I've missed out on seeing some scenes, I was disappointed in the general lack of sympathy towards both Steve and Miranda i.e we didnt have any scenes that focused on Miranda and Steve's grief, other than Steve's guilt, which was good - but no one bothered (the writers didnt show it) to come round, I was expecting at least a Susan/Karl - Steve/Miranda scene and before all that baby rubbish took center stage, even Rebbecca didn't seem all that sympathetic towards them.

I just think the write out of these two, no matter how popular/unpopular, was probably the worst I've seen come out of Neighbours recently, considering they were at the forefront of the action for the past two years - they should have gone down a more sentimental route to round the characters off a little, rather than drama with the baby situation.

The funeral was written really well and should have taken place Monday Imo, it deserved to be seen by a larger audience than Friday's show gets - Declan has been written perfectly throughout this entire storyline, very poignant that he couldn't look at his baby because she had Didge's eyes and the acting has been fantastic!! I felt sorry for Steph today too!
