-Kevin- Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I haven't watched Corrie in a long time but I watched the 2nd part last night. It was really good. Loved the scenes with Carla and Tony. I don't like him at all but I had to almost feel sorry for him when he wanted Carla to kill him and was going to give her the scissors. It looked really scary when Tony was on the car and then afterwards with the way the lightening shone on his face. Alison King and the guy who plays Tony are both amazing actors. Shame Alison wont be around for a few months. he would be Gray O Brien I dont really like his acting though!! Well maybe thats just how he is in real life like his voice and tome of voice as well just annoy me. Yeah its a shame Carla wont be around for a while , I am sure she will shocked at what Tony will be doing with Maria when she gets back. Quote
Laura Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Oh yeah of course its Gray O'Brien! I remember now Shows how much I watch Corrie. Quote
Lesley Bee Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 I hope Tony doesn't get found out for a long while, im really enjoying his character in it, even though he is nasty Quote
Mrs Bishop Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 they hyped it up but waht a let down but lets hope we have Tony Gordon for a little while longer perhaps just to -please Mrs B Quote
-Kevin- Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 they hyped it up but waht a let down but lets hope we have Tony Gordon for a little while longer perhaps just to -please Mrs B I can see how you thought it was a let down because Carla wasnt as shocked and angry about as I thought she would be though!! I dont really want to see Tony around for much longer because it is too annoying watching it when nobody knows what he did. I am sure it will all come out in a dramatic fashion when Carla returns though. There will be a bloodbath when Carla finds out when she returns what is happening with Tony and Maria when she returns , and by that stage Maria and Tony will propably be in a relationship I would say, which will make it all so hard on Maria. Zetti Posted February 7, 2009 Report Posted February 7, 2009 Wow. Alison King {Carla} was fantastic in friday's two episodes. She is such a fantastic character and I look forward for her return to the soap. She will be missed. Gray {Tony} blew me away, terrific acting from both! Quote
Nathan. Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Can anyone please elaborate on why Maria is going to have an affair with Tony when she's been chanting "murderer" about him for the last few months? Quote
-Kevin- Posted February 8, 2009 Report Posted February 8, 2009 Can anyone please elaborate on why Maria is going to have an affair with Tony when she's been chanting "murderer" about him for the last few months? Well after Carla left him he goes on a downward spiral and then next week he gives her a lift to the cemetery bcause its her and Liam's wedding anniversary and there are no taxis available. At the graveside Tony gets upset and looks Maria in the eye and tells her that he didnt kill Liam. At this moment Maria believes she was wrong about Tony's part in Liam's death and starts to soften towards him and apologises. Then their friendship goes from there. Quote
-Kevin- Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Bill Roache ( Ken Barlow )has been left shocked by the sudden and unexpected death of his wife Sara at the age of 58. The Coronation Street star's wife, who had not been ill, died at the couple's home in Cheshire on Saturday, reports the BBC. The couple had been married for more than 30 years and have two grown-up children. Roache, who plays Ken Barlow on the ITV soap, said: "We loved Sara very much and we are all in a state of shock. We can't believe she is no longer with us." Bev Callard, who plays Liz McDonald, said: "She was just gorgeous, a beautiful human being. I have known her for many years and met her before I joined Corrie. We met many times at charity functions which she gave so much of her time to. "She was heavily involved in a talent contest each year where money was raised to send disabled children on the holiday of a lifetime. She worked so hard to give something back. She was a beautiful lady, elegant with a gorgeous figure." Show bosses have told 76-year-old Roache to take as much time as he needs off work. "William and Sara were a devoted couple and our thoughts are with William and his family at this very sad time," a spokesman said. Poor Bill my thoughts go out to all his family. Does anybody remember when she appeared in Corrie in 2007 ?? She was the judge in Tracy's trial Quote
Zetti Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Poor Bill. I read this yesterday. My condolences to Bill and his family. May she R.I.P. Quote
