Coronation Street actress Kym Marsh and her partner, Hollyoaks actor Jamie Lomas, have today announced the sad loss of their first child.

Their baby boy, named Archie Jay Lomas, was born 18 weeks premature in hospital on Wednesday night, before passing away seconds later.

Speaking of the devastating news, the 32-year-old actress - who plays Weatherfield's Michelle Connor - said: "Archie is our beautiful angel and we will miss him so much. Thank you all for your support."

Poor Kym and Jamie :( My heart goes out to them :(

/\ Poor Kym & Jamie, thats such a shame :(

Congratulations to Alison King though!

I bet it will be hard for their friendship, Kym and Alison's, with them having been pregnant together :(

I wish Kym finds some happiness because her life is getting as bad as Michelle's since her split with Jack Ryder  (He's hot)

My condolences to Kym & Jamie, such a sad thing to happen.

On a lighter note there are 2 more Corrie babies this week. Jack Shepherd and girlfriend Lauren Shippey have had a baby girl and Wanda Opalinska {Vicki from the factory} has had a baby son called Rafal.

^^ I only saw the last bit of the first episode where Jason proposed so I'm guessing Steve did aswell then.

I have seen pics of Steve and Becky on their wedding day. I don't know anything else about it though.
