That was Hush ... one of my favourites! I also loved Once More With Feeling, Tabula Rasa, that one when the nerds had a competition to see who could annoy Buffy the most ... that was awesome ... Band Candy, Something Blue and the first episode Spike appeared in. Hee. In conclusion, Spike Spike Spike.

I LOVE that episode. It's so f***ing scary, I still crap myself everytime I see it

Just the way they glid and move their hands with their big smiles and kill people as if it's just a common thing to do. They kill people with such politeness it terrifies me

My favourite episodes (all time favourites in bold)

Season 1: The Pack. Angel. Nightmares.

Season 2: School Hard. Halloween. Lie To Me. What's My Line? Pt 1 &2. Surprise. Innocence. Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered. Phases. Passion. Killed By Death. I Only Have Eyes For You. Becoming Pt 1 & 2

Season 3: Home Coming. Band Candy. The Wish. Lover's Walk. Amends. Doppelgangland. Earshot. Graduation Day Pt 1 & 2.

Season 4: The Harsh Light Of Day. Fear Itself. Wild At Heart. Pangs. Something Blue. Hush. Who Are You? Superstar. Where The Wild Things Are. New Moon Rising. The Yoko Factor. Restless.

Season 5: Buffy vs Dracula. Fool For Love. Triangle. I Was Made To Love You. The Body. Intervention.

Season 6: Life Serial. Once More, With Feeling. Tabula Rasa. Normal Again.

Season 7: Him. Potential. The Killer In Me. Storyteller. Lies My Parents Told Me.

While season 6 is light on the favourites, the ones that are there are excellent, and the season as a whole worked very nicely for me :). I think the final arc of episodes would make it to that list if Willow going insane didn't disturb and upset me so much lol.

Hush was so scary! I watched all the episodes of Buffy, up to the end of season 5 on Sky 1 when I first started getting into the show (except for season 3 because for some reason, they cut that whole season out so I was lost after season 2 finale) and they didn't show Hush on Sky1 because it was too scary to show at 5 or 6:00pm. So, when I started collecting them all on DVD and finally got round to season 4, I watched Hush in the dark on my own! <_< It was so scary, and when they started chasing Tara on the campus I was jumping up and down and telling her to run like the wind!! >.< I was younger then lol. But, yeah, that was a scary episode!

And Conversations with dead people, that was one of my favourite episodes, too. Dawn's ghost experience was great. And when the house is dark but there's flashing light (maybe lightning, i can't remember) and you see a glimpse of Joyce's dead corpse on the couch, where she was found dead 2 years before. Eek!! And poor Willow, too, being tricked by the First! ¬¬

And when Joyce appeared to Dawn at the end of the episode, all glowing and talking to her, Willow said it might have been the First because it came to her, too, but I don't think it was the First because the First doesn't glow like that. Did we ever find out if it actually was the First or not? :S

AND! Why didn't Amber Benson, Tara, come back for that episode to talk to Willow? :(

I dont get why Once More, With Feeling became so popular, i think its one of the worst episodes of the show.

Season 2 is by far my favorite. I love Angelus, Spike, Drusilla and Darla together. And Willow and Oz were so cute when they first started dating. Season 4 was horrible, i really hate the whole Adam storyline.

I think it's one of those things that you either love or hate. I was brought up on Xena musicals (The Bitter Suite and Lyre Lyre, Heart's on Fire) so I loved it :P. I almost think of that and Tabula Rasa as being two parts of the same episode, which is why I love them both. They're both completely out of character (singing and dancing, to total personality displacement) and Willow's memory spell on Tara connects the two of them nicely. I think if you take them as a pair, mirroring each other (Once More, With Feeling where everyone is expressing their true selves to a fault, and Tabula Rasa where they have no idea who they are at all) you might enjoy it more. Might. I don't know. I enjoy them both as much as I can already :D. I think they're especially important episodes to Willow and Tara, where we see the complete breakdown of their relationship and the first real warning sign that Willow's magic is going off the rails, which of course begins the dark and treacherous road to her trying to destroy the world in the finale... This is why I love season six. The episodes work on their own, but they're so interwoven that it's hard to separate them. Usually it's either one or the other, a great series of stand alone eps or a a massive arc of episodes that carries you through the season. Season six, like season two and four, manage to get the balance right (although the Initiative conspiracy did get tiresome in places). I think season one were stand-alones, five was an overwhelming arc with Dawn and Glory, and seven was just a total conspiracy theory wasteland... I hate conspiracy theories - arcs that not only tie up one season, but somehow involve every episode that's come before it and will ever come after it. Hate them! Which is why I like the stand-alones so much from that season, or an episode like "Lies My Parents Told Me" which can connect back to earlier episodes that didn't consume everything in their path...

The First... bah. Couldn't it have just stuck to messing with Angel in season three?

Agree, the first was a horrible villain and one of the reasons why season 7 sucked as much as it did.
