Yeah,I just thought Hayley would breakdown when she was told, instead she just thought of Irene like she wasnt directly effected by it..It just seemed out of character.

I was more sad with Nicks reaction than the others.

And those 2 burglaries, are they storylines headed for something?

Here's a medical question, since Will apparently kills his dad by lifting the car off him, would it have been possible for Ken to have survived had professionals done it?

I saw the same thing on holby city or whatever that show is called, someone was trapped in a car and they were saying that the pressure of the car against them is what is keeping them alive and when that pressure is released they will die and they couldnt do anything to save him, same thing happened in the movie Signs with the woman, a car and a tree..

After speaking to a friend who's partner is a doctor....

It's unlikely he would have survived... the problem with compresson or crush injuries is that when the pressure of the thing causing the crush or compression is lifted off it causes toxins which have built up to flood back into the body and to the heart, and the victim dies. If the ambos had got there they would have got him to ring Irene on the mobile and to say his goodbyes before they lifted it off.

Poor Ken :(

But anyway,I found it odd that Hayley didnt react much when she was told and that Joel only really spoke and looked at Irene when he told her,not at Hayley who is the daughter..Although she then reacted during the funeral..Just before then, you didnt really see her cry or get comforted..

Writers tend to avoid giving actors emotional stuff if they cant handle the scenes, and back then Bec Cartwright couldn’t do crying scenes convincingly at all, so I’m glad they missed her reaction out because it would have taken away from what we had just seen with Irene and Will.

I remembered the way she reacted when Noah died and then saying goodbye to his ghost..Very dramatic then, thats why I found it alittle odd rewatching Ken's death and not seeing any emotion at all..But still would of been good for Joel to look or speak to Hayley and even Irene being in shock but holding onto Hayley.

Alex is right, Bec was much better at emotional scenes in her later years on the show. There was a reason Hayley was such a cheerful, bubbly character to begin with - it was all she could do! God love her. I don't mind so much when they hire youngsters and let them develop as time goes on, as their lack of ability is mainly due to inexperience. What really bugs me is when they do the same thing with older characters, purely because they want someone who looks nice and don't care if they can't act for toffee.

I thought Zac Drayson and Chris Egan played it very well, tough guys breaking down! Everything moves along so quick though, I mean they're back in the surf club in the next episode!

Especially since Nick and Ken were just starting to develop a close bond. Is it just me, or does it seem like there's more adults than teenagers during this time compared to others?
