I found out the other day when i was looking through the sky channels that they were repeating old episodes, it reminded me how simple things used to be and how great the show is now. Dont get me wrong i liked it then but its more gripping for me now, i'll watch the episodes anyway then i can see Tasha's arrival once again  and the whole Sarah Lewis/Felix thing i missed bits out last time

Who cares if Shauna, Jade or Mrs Stewart are alive, at least Duncan's Nippers trophy is still in one piece.

This weeks been so good with loads of things going on. The highlight for me has been Joel's detective work, finding out who Gypsy's stalker is. Then the scene in the diner when those two guys were picking on Hayley and one of them called Joel a buff head. Joel flashes his badge and says "That's Senior Constable buff head to you mate", and then takes him down. Classic!

The thing I like about these earlier episodes is that all the characters seem to be more involved in every storyline and each others lives.

If only Dani had decided to put a white t-shirt on this morning.

Why? Did I miss something?

lmao! That made me laugh.

Yeah I liked that in the Diner too, Judith reacted badly I thought. I agree about your last statement too. nearly everyone was in teh second episode today.

The thing that strikes me most about these episodes is how all the characters are so obviously different - as in, they all have different personalities and don't seem quite so "clone-like".

Though the way it was done was great, I was wondering whether it would have been better if they didn't know that Shauna was there and left the house thinking they had got everyone out.

That would have been a good way of writing her out of the show if she had wanted to go at that point. The audience would have literally been screaming at their screens saying "Shauna's still in there!".

As it was I still really liked the mudslide - I felt there was something more 'real' about it in comparison with more recent natural disasters such as the cyclone. In the mudslide, people were trapped under the house and the rescuers had to desperately dig them out. With the cyclone, Ric and Cassie get locked in a caravan, the powerlines make it live, Flynn electrocutes himself to save them - all very dramatic and overdone IMO. And yet nobody seems to come out with more than a scratch.

I really enjoy watching these older episodes because there are more realistic consequences at the end of things, very different to the highly dramatic, minimum impact route that there seems to be today.

The chase after JT today was hilarious! Nearly the whole town were after him on the beach!!

I'm kinda sad Joel left, not cos he was very interesting but it feels like the end of an era with the Nashs and everything.
