Carly acted very confident but deep down she was quite insecure especially after she was raped. From what I remember of early Carly she was man mad, bolshy, stubborn and quite selfish but I also remember liking her so she can't have been that bad!

That is so true ... that she (like everyone else) put on different fronts to mask what she was really feeling. And I loved her too - along with Bobby and Sally, of course!! :P

Funnily enough, I really did think of Carly as being insecure deep down, maybe because super confident ppl often are. I didn't know about the rape. Did this happen before or after she came to Summer Bay? Only I need to change her personality slightly if it happened before.

Thanks for the info on Lynn as well, I feel like I'm getting to know her much better now.

I should be working on this tonight as I'm out tomorrow but Big Brother is unmissable, especially the way Nikki took being evicted...

It happened when she came to the Bay - it was one of her first "big" storylines. Sharyn Hodgson who played Carly was quite a credible actor and they threw a spout of alcoholism at her as her way of dealing with the rape.

From memory, I think Lance and Martin actually aided and abetted her drinking ...

Thanks for the info. I won't put any of the rape story in then as I think it would get too complicated. I might use the drinking as her way of dealing with problems tho, not sure yet.

Just one more question and I'll take any more queries to the "Sally" thread. What did Frank look like? I hope he was tall (because I've already said he was in an earlier chapter! ) but was he dark-haired/blond/good-looking/slim etc...? I need to describe him in the next chapter. :)

Frank was really dark haired, with dark skin, I remeber someone in one of the early episodes remarking that he looked foreign or something like that. I never thought he was particulary good looking but the girls in summer bay did because he never had a problem pulling!

There's some photos of Frank on this site. I think it used to be the original site before it was merged with Back To The Bay. The better photos of Frank are under Gallery, more pictures and then families. They're labelled but if you're not sure which one he is go on the main site first and under cast and characters and then character bios you'll see Frank Morgan with a picture.

Hope that helps.

Ooh, thanks, that was a great help, particularly the background info and the line There was only one thing he was really good at: playing his guitar. I'm beginning to get a bit spooked now because I have included a guitar in the next chapter (but not to do with Frank, tho I think I can see how I can connect it all up) and I did picture him with dark hair - tho he doesn't look how I imagined. I see what you mean, he's too "pretty boy" for my liking - tho I did nearly mistake a guy called, I think, Nic Testoni, for him while I was looking through the pics...wow!

I'm about halfway through the next chapter so things are coming along okay. Looking forward to your next update of Return to the Bay. :)

ILM, do you know how to put pictures up on this forum because I've got some old newspaper cuttings and I wanted to put them up but don't know how. I asked on another thread, but no-one responded. I've got some Jesse ones... :P

The only way I know how to post pictures on this forum is via a website. What I did was go to www.freewebs.com and set yourself up a free basic website then upload your pictures to it. once the picture's uploaded right click and cut the url address. Then if you want to put a picture in a post on this site click the picture icon and paste the url when it asks for the website address. I'm sure there must be an easier way but I don't know how and that way works for me if that helps.xx
