~Lynd~ Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 I just have to say this topics subtitle gave me a good laugh.
Elise Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Nah, I get you on that Mar, it does have a disclaimer, so it is enter at your own risk. I just found it funny, that's all.
ste Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 I think, and this is just my thoughts on this, is that since we have mods so active as the ones we've got here, mods who show the members who they are, the modding is bound to be seen as a "egoistic" simply because you know the mod behind the actions. If we as mods didn't post the same was members do, but only posted when doing mod-business, we wouldn't have the amount of complains and moans we get now from time to time. That's probably the most sensible thing I've read on here. A solution would be to have ONE or TWO "moderator" accounts, which mods log into in order to do mod-type-business (eg deleting posts, sending warnings etc), while making normal conversational posts under their own account, which has no moderating powers. This way, mods are anonymous and so is the action they take against posts/members. Meanwhile, they still get to join in the discussion without the stigma of being a moderator.
emmasi Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Anyone watching the Amazing Race right now? "Six-hundred cookies is a lot." *Nods.*
Elise Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Nah, I'm tired though, had a really craptacular day today, so I might go to bed - but 600 cookies???? Overkill. I like cookies to a certain extent, but 600? Nah.
Chris J Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 I'm sure I could manage 600 in not too long. I mean, there's what, 20 in a pack of Maryland cookies? So that's... 30 packs. I can easily eat a pack in about 20 minutes, so... yeah, I could get through 600 cookies in a day, no problem. I'll give it a try, if anyone's willing to donate me 600 cookies. The weird thing is, I eat so much junk food, and don't put on an ounce of weight. Last time I checked, I'm still technically classed as very slightly "underweight".
rennyren Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 Not fair I want to eat 600 cookies and be underweight!
Chris J Posted May 31, 2007 Report Posted May 31, 2007 It's not all it's cracked up to be. I'd love to put on a little bit of weight, just to get myself into a more normal category, but as hard as I try, I can't do it through eating. I guess it does have its good points though. I'm far too much of a chocoholic, and if I didn't have such a high metabolism, I really would be pretty big by now.
