Chapter 13

Everyone couldn’t believe what was going on, Tim had just been arrested on suspicion of Cam’s murder.

“Tim wouldn’t do it!” Kate said as her eyes filled up with tears.

Jon hugged her as they watched Tim being handcuffed and escorted away,

Nic tried running after Tim but PC Castle grabbed him from running any further.

“Tim isn’t capable of murder,” Bobby shouted angrily.

“What do we do now?” Rodger said confused.

“Well I know where I’m going, Tim needs to know we are there for him” Nic said annoyed as he grabbed his coat and left the function room followed by Holly and Amy.

Amy, Holly and Nic arrived with Rodger at the police station, Nic ran towards the front desk as he said, “I want to see Tim Campbell.”

“I’m sorry sir but it’s not possible.” The office at the front desk told them.

“Well make it possible!” Nic yelled angrily.

Holly pulled Nic from the front desk, “Nic calm down.”

“Let’s take you home.” Jon said as he looked at Kate.

It was 7:30am and Nic, Amy, Holly and Rodger were at Tim’s house waiting for him to be realised from the station.

Nic was sitting on the sofa flickering through a magazine when he suddenly stopped as he saw an article with him and Tim, “Look! how the hell could anyone think he was capable of murder. ” Nic said angrily as he threw the magazine and walked out of the house.

“Tim being arrested really has hit Nic hard.” Rodger said to Amy.

“He doesn’t need this after losing Clare.”

Most of the cast were back at the studio’s talking about Tim’s arrest when the suddenly went quite as Nic entered the room, “Don’t go quiet on my account.”

Kate slightly lifted her head as she handed Nic the newspaper, he took it from her looking confused as he saw “Home And Away Cast member arrested on a murder charge!”

As he looked further down the page he saw a picture of Holly pulling him away from the front desk of the police station with “Grieving cast member dragged away from being arrested himself as he protests cast members innocence.” written underneath.

Paul sat staring into the article just reading over the headlines when Rhys walked up to him, “unbelievable.”

“Paul?” Rhys said as Paul just kept staring at the paper,

“I’m sorry, what?”

“This whole thing with Tim and the paper its stupid, Tim has a heart of gold. No way could he do this.”

Paul just half smiled and carried on reading.

Holly walked from her dressing room and caught sigh of Kate heading out of the studios, Holly called out Kate’s name but Kate just carried on walking.

Kate eventually stopped and sat on the beach looking confused and agitated, “Kate I was shouting you!” Holly said as she walked nearer to Kate, she looked up taking the hair from in front of her face and said, “I’m sorry I was a million miles away!”

“I noticed.” Holly said smiling.

“How come you wanted me anyway?”

“I just wanted to be nosey and ask about you and the certain Mr Silverwright.” Holly said smirking

Kate laughed as Holly just gave her a cheeky grin, “I don’t know but over the past few weeks I have started to think we could be more then friends, I mean he’s hot and has a very nice ass.”

Holly laughed at Kate, “But please don’t tell him I said that he has a nice ass because well I will not hear the end of it!”

“Sure.” Holly said laughing.

Nic barged into Amy’s dressing room where he threw the paper against the wall in anger, “I hate not being able to do anything.”

Nic dropped on the sofa clenching his fists, “Nic we can’t do anything, Tim didn’t do anything and he will be saying just that to the police.”

Amy left Nic to calm down and she went to and to see if Tim had been realised yet.

Nic sat in her dressing room thinking when Jodi knocked on the door, “Jodi”

“Nic there is something I need to tell you.”

“This looks serious.”

Nic gestured for her to sit down on the chair as he sat on the sofa facing her waiting for her to speak, “I don’t know how to tell you this.” Jodi said shaking nervously.

“Hey I’m sure it’s not that bad,” Nic said smiling at her.

“Nic….”

“Jodi I’m getting worried now…” Nic said concerned.

Jodi took a long deep breath before she said, “I’m pregnant.”

Nic looked at her in shock as the words “I’m pregnant" played over and over in his head.

Chapter 14

“Nic” Jodi said quietly as Nic stood up avoiding eye contact.

Nic turned and looked at her as he asked, “congratulations”

Jodi sat looking at Nic confused as she said, “Congratulations, what the hell… is that all you can say”

“I don’t understand, what do you want me to say” Nic said looking confused.

“I don’t know Nic… how about, ‘Are you keeping my baby’”, Jodi shot angrily at Nic.

Nic just looked at Jodi, stunned, shocked and confused as he only just managed to say, “what!!”

“I’m carrying your baby” Jodi said deadly serious.

Jon was dragging his feet as he walked along the beach, staring into thin air as he thought about what was going on in his life at the minute, he had the most amazing job that could be ripped from underneath him at any minute and then their was the woman he was deeply falling for. The feelings he felt for Kate were the strongest he had felt for anyone since Gemma all those years ago.

Bobby stood in his dressing room, nervously fiddling with his tie as he tried to look smart, “so handsome” Indi said smiling from the door.

“It’s not funny” Bobby said turning as he shown Indo the mess he got into with his tie.

“Come here you big wimp” Indi said as she straightened out his tie.

“Thank you” Bobby said smiling.

Indi looked up at Bobby grinning as she said, “you really are nervous aren’t you”

Nic was still stood in front of Jodi, shocked to the very core. “Jodi you can’t be serious”

“Nic I wouldn’t lie about this”, Jodi told Nic.

“Jodi I don’t know what to say… well except for the fact I can’t be the dad!”

“But… we slept together” Jodi said confused.

“No Jodi we didn’t after we kissed we went into the flat and started to you know but then I pulled away and we both decided never to talk about it again”

Jodi was confused more then ever now but was she was so sure Nic was the dad, she didn’t know weather to believe Nic or not because this could be an easy way out for him by not admitting he is the dad.

“I’m so sorry” Jodi said confused, looking at Nic.

“I don’t know what to say” Nic said looking at Jodi getting upset, Nic walked over to her and sat down wrapping his arms around her. Jodi burst into tears as she leaned in Nic’s arms.

Paul was stood in front of the mirror in his dressing room, just staring at himself before moving away, not being able to look at himself. He hated the whole mess.

Jess was walking by as she saw Paul looking weird and distracted, “Paul are you ok?”

As Paul turned she saw his eyes full of tears, she ran over to him as she hugged him tight,

Kate stood in her dressing room, twirling her hair with an enormous smile on her face as she saw Jon stood by the door. “Hey you” she said smiling over at him.

“I just though I would come and see if you were ok” Jon said smiling.

Kate stood up still looking at Jon as she moved closer to him, laughing.

“What?” he asked confused.

She was still smiling and giggling at him as she pointed to his face.

Jon put his hand on his face trying to work out what was so funny, Kate moved even closer as she wiped the toothpaste from his chin, smiling at him.

Their eyes locked and they carried on staring into each other’s eyes lovingly.

Kate smiled and bit her lip nervously before slowly leaning further towards him and kissed his lips softly.

Tim walked outside of the police station and turned to see Amy, Holly and Nic stood waiting.

“There a bunch of morons”

“Have they charged you?” Amy asked Tim.

“No, all they had was my blood on his shirt from when I hit him earlier that day, they don’t have anything to charge me with so that mean who ever killed him is still out their”

“Thank you” Paul said half smiling at Jess.

“No problem” Jess said happily.

“I shouldn’t be here, I have to get away” Paul said quickly.

“But why, where are you going?”

“I just have to get away I don’t deserve to be here” Paul said angrily.
