Chapter 9

Tim sat in his garden sunbathing when Holly walked towards him, “Shouldn’t you be getting to work?”

He looked up at her, “After how I lost it with Cam yesterday I doubt I have a job!”

“You lost it with Cam?” Nic said as he walked out of the back door towards Holly and Tim who were by the pool,

“It was nothing honestly mate.”

“Come on Tim if it was nothing you would be a work right now, you want a lift because I’m going there anyway?”

“You are?” Holly said sounding surprised.

“Well I came back to oz to start work on the set again so why shouldn’t I do what I came here for!” Nic said deadly serious.

Jon and Kate walked into the 7 studios when Mark, Sharni, Bobby and Lincoln all starting giggling at her, “I see you have a hang over.” Mark said sarcastically.

“Yes I have Furze but I seem to recall you knocking back your drinks as well.”

“Yes but I can handle my drink!” he laughed.

Nic, Tim and Holly all arrived at the studios, Bobby walked over to Nic not really knowing what to say, and he put his hand forward as they shook hands.

“Isn’t that Roger?” Nic said sounding surprised as he saw Roger Corser in the car park,

Tim looked over into the car park surprised as Roger waved from a distance, “G’day guys”

Holly smiled as Roger walked towards them, “And what do we owe the pleasure?”

“I was in town visiting the parents so I thought I’d come down here and see how everyone is.”

“It will be good to have you around with everything that has been going on.”

Roger looked at Nic as he said, “I’m sorry about Clare.”

Nic put on a weak smile, “Thanks.”

“Its just stupid, if they are going to sack three of us why don’t they just do it now.” Paul said angry as he paced up and down his dressing room.

“Paul are you sure your just not angry about Jodi, I know the other day you were worried about her and I think that by taking your anger out on Cam it will in someway make you forget about Jodi?” Mark asked Paul.

“Of course it’s not about Jodi, this is my career we’re talking about here, if she wants to go and get pregnant and not tell me who the dad is then, that’s up to her.”

Mark suddenly shot his head up looking confused, “She’s pregnant?”

Paul just nodded at Mark, he didn’t know what else to say.

Jodi walked into her dressing room after throwing half of her guts up, she didn’t feel her best but then again she was carrying Nic’s baby…

“Ada what’s up?” Tim asked as he saw her looking distant.

“Nothing I’m fine.” she reassured Tim.

Ada quickly changed the subject, “How’s he doing?” she asked as she looked over at Nic.

“He’s trying to be normal but he’s got to break at some point.”

Amy walked down the corridor drinking her morning coffee when she stopped as she saw Roger with Nic and Holly, “OMG!” she said loudly before running over to him and hugging him.

“What… What are you doing here?” Amy asked grinning enormously.

Kate was lying on the sofa in her dressing room when she saw Jon leaning against her door smiling at her, “What’s the grin for?”

“No…. Nothing erm… but I was still wondering something”

“Jon, If I had anymore to drink I would have probably told you that I fancied Ray.” Kate said joking as she threw a pillow at Jon.

Jon laughed at her and threw the pillow back, “I no but you saying that last night made me realise I do actually..... have a nice ass.” Jon joked as he turned to his side looked at his ass in the mirror.

“I don’t know how you can be so wide awake after only have 2 hours sleep, now go let me sleep.” Kate said smiling before turning on to her side to get to sleep.

Jon stood by the door for a few seconds just smiling at Kate before he quietly said “sweet dreams” and closed the door shut.

Jon joined the others still smiling as Tim said, “So I hear you stopped at Kate’s last night.”

Jon just grinned before grabbing the newspaper and beginning to read it.

Rhys sat on the beach, confused as he thought about what Jodi had told him the other day. He hadn’t been able to stop thinking about her, if telling her at Mark’s party how much he liked her wasn’t enough then she had to go rub his nose in by saying she was pregnant with another man’s child.

The more he thought the more he remember how he poured his heart out to her that night, the reason he split with Indiana was because Jodi was all he could think about.

He then remembered how quickly she pulled away after he kissed her just after telling her how he loves her and now she’s pregnant he feels his heart being torn apart because he’s never going to be with her.

Roger looked at Amy as he said, “You fancy going for a drink later?”

“Sure why not but not many because I’ve got a few things to do later” she smiled warmly at Roger.

Cam slowly entered the studios looking around, as he knew that he wasn’t that welcome with the cast, Mark and Paul were the first to spot him…

“Why are you here, you telling us who has got to pack up their dressing room?” Mark asked angrily.

“No I’m here to work, I have told you all… people losing their jobs is not my fault. I tried my best to stop this but I couldn’t do anything.” Cam told them both.

Cam carried on walking as he saw most of the cast giving him a deadly stare before he entered his office.

Everyone was sitting in the café talking about Cam coming back to the studio’s, “I just wish he would tell us who and admit he could do something to stop this.” Ray said in anger.

“There’s no more scenes left to shoot so why don’t we all go and get some sleep,” Ada suggested to everyone.

Nic, Holly, Tim, Roger and Amy were all at Tim’s place having a few drinks when Tim suddenly said, “It’s time!”

“What episodes we watching today?” Holly said excited.

“Because Roger and Amy are guests I think they should just pick random discs from the cupboard.” Tim suggested.

Roger and Amy agreed as they headed to the cupboard both picking one disc each before Roger placed his in the DVD player not even looking at what was written on the disc.

Tim quickly pressed play as the DVD began; they all were watching a video, “What’s this?” Roger asked Tim.

Tim and Amy eyes shot over at Nic when they started to laugh.

“Nic please say this isn’t the one where you was questioning me for Josh’s murder”

Holly asked worried.

“It’s Nic’s own video of his working day plus extra,” Tim laughed looking at Holly.

On the video:

“Tim how do you feel about Peter questioning Dan?” Nic said laughing as he zoomed the camera into Tim’s face.

Tim stared in to the camera as he whispered, “I actually think Dan could kick Peter’s ass”

“Come closer Tim I want to whisper you something” Nic said as he walked towards Tim.

“But Peter is better is bed then Dan!” Nic said grinning, as Tim just looked upset on camera.

“Let’s see whom we can find on set,” Nic said talking to the camera as he started to look through the dressing rooms.

As Nic took the camera into everyone’s dressing room he stopped in shock as he saw pocked the camera round Holly’s dressing room who had no clothes on and was facing the camera. “OMG” Holly screamed in shock.

Holly frantically grabbed her dressing gown and threw it over herself and ran towards the door, Nic quickly pulled back from the door and began to ran as fast as he could. Holly just managed to get to the door and saw Nic running away, “NIC!!!” Holly yelled.

“I still can’t believe that happened” Holly said looking at Nic laughing, Roger was still shocked and just gave Holly a cheeky smile.

Nic had ran that far he was out of breath, he then switched the camera back on and started to film the scenery when he saw Clare heading towards him.

Nic whispered into the camera, “There’s the woman I love!”

Clare ran up to Nic, kissing him passionately before she took the camera and pointed at Nic and said, “I love this man so much, I don’t know what I’d do without him.”

Amy and Holly looked over at Nic who suddenly got up and raced outside, Holly followed Nic and saw him stop outside and began to cry. Holly slowly walked up to him and held him in her arms as he cried.

Chapter 10

After Nic had ran out crying, Rodger and Amy just sat in silence as the DVD carried on playing…

Mark, Bobby and Jon sat in the bar at their local pub, having a beer. The three of them just sat mainly in silence until Bobby suddenly said, “We might not be working with each other this time next month.”

“It’s stupid… everyone loves their jobs for him just to take it away like that it’s wrong.” Mark said angrily.

Jon started to yawn and look tiredly at Mark and Bobby, “Jon so how’s it going with Kate?”

“Erm… Well I think she’s okay, she’s more worried about what’s going on with Cam and the rest of our jobs. She was really upset today.”

Mark just smiled, “So there’s nothing going on between you two?”

“No furze nothing, were just hanging out and getting along really well, as mates.”

It was only a few seconds after that Kate walked in to the pub and saw the three of them looking miserable, “How about having a sexy lady cheer you miserable lot up?”

The lads grinned as Jon moved further up the chair to let Kate sit down as Bobby went to get the next round of drinks in.

Paul was walking along the beach trying to figure out in his head what to do, why wouldn’t Jodi tell him who the dad was, he was starting to think they might have a chance together but obviously that’s not going to happen now.

Jess slowly walked towards Rhys front door when she saw him sitting on his door step acting strange, “Rhys are you okay?”

“I’m fine.” Rhys insisted but Jess knew he was lying.

“Rhys you know the other day before Clare died and the whole losing the cast happened I felt something between us.”

Rhys looked up at Jess who was sitting next to him, their eyes met each other’s and Rhys smiled at Jess.

Jess moved her hand to Rhys cheek and leaned further towards him and kissed his lips tenderly.

Rhys didn’t pull away he kissed her back passionately.

Jodi was home alone trying to figure out whether or not to tell Nic, he had been through so much with losing Clare and if she told him about the baby it would tare him apart.

“I hate seeing him like this!” Tim said to Amy as they watched Nic and Holly outside.

“Seeing her on that video must have been hard but this is only the start of his grieving, he needs us all to be there when he’s like this.”

Tim stood by the window and started to clench his fist, “Hey there’s nothing more you can do except be there for him.” Amy said trying to calm Tim down.

Tim turned and smiled at Amy who pulled her arms wide and tip toed as Tim leaned forward hugging Amy.

Nic looked at Holly as he said, “I’m sorry about me being like this.”

“Nic don’t say sorry, you have just lost Clare and no one expects you to go on like normal… you’re not superman” Holly reminded Nic.

“Thank you.” Nic said with a slight smile.

Indi and Sharni were in Sharni’s bedroom at her house talking about Lincoln and Frankie, “She seems really nice and he’s not bad looking.” Sharni said smiling.

“Yeah but it’s a bit stupid how they can bring in plenty of guests but their determined to lose three main’s” Indi said confused.

Ada had been walking for over an hour trying to make sense of everything but it was hard when she wanted to tell Nic because he had a right to know but there was the fact Jodi was one of her best friends and she didn’t want to betray her.

“I think I might head home.” Bobby told the others,

“Can I catch a lift with you?” Mark asked grinning.

“Sure.”

Kate and Jon started smiling as Kate said, “Do you get the feeling they left to leave us alone?”

Jon just nodded and carried on drinking when he said, “Can I ask you something?”

“Sure what?” Kate said smiling

“You don’t think Ray is hot do you?” Jon grinned.

“Yeah he’s stunning.” Kate said laughing.

“Forget I even asked, can you help me out?” Jon grinned.

“No I’m not going to tell you that you have a nice ass again!” Kate joked.

“For once I’m being serious, I need help choosing an outfit for Tim’s 30th birthday Bash at the weekend.”

“Yeah of course, shopping tomorrow after filming it is then.” Kate said happily.

Rhys pulled away from Jess, looking in her eyes as he said, “I’m sorry about everything.”

“I can’t believe I didn’t tell you sooner, I think I’m falling in love with you.”

As the word love started to sink in Rhys stood up shocked leaving Jess confused as Rhys raced into his house scared and confused.

Holly, Kate and Ada all arrived at the Studios the next morning,

As soon as the got out of their cars, their eyes looked straight over at the police cars over by the entrance.

“What’s going on?” Ada said looking at Holly and Kate.

All three of them ran towards the entrance and saw Lincoln and Lyn stood by the door, Lyn was crying and Lincoln was just standing still staring into thin air,

“What’s wrong?” Kate asked terrified.

Awwww . Brilliant chapter Lil...why are there police cars outside the studios?? Maybe Cam or one of the cast has been arrested or something!!!! . Really looking foward to reading the next chapter!! There is a great mix between comedy and drama in this fic Lil, you are a very talented writer .
