bttb-rox! Posted June 28, 2007 Report Posted June 28, 2007 Thanks guys!! This is quite a long chapter... Chapter 17 Back in Jack's kicthen, Beth and Tony start on wedding plans again. Beth gives the cup of tea to Tony. Tony: Thanks Beth: I was thinking that maybe Jack would like to be the best man, what do you think? Tony: Maybe, yeah. Beth: Right...well mayve you could ask him when you see him. Tony: Sure....as long as he doesn't forget the rings he will be alright Beth: That brings back memories Tony: What do you mean? Beth: When me and Rhys got married Scott was our best man and he forget the rings so Rob had to run from the beach back to the house for them. It was a nightmare! Tony: You had a beach wedding then? Beth: Yep we did. Tony: I've just had an idea Beth: What? Tony: We could have a beach wedding Beth: I don't really want to do that Tony Tony: Oh I just thought it would be nice/ Beth: Well you thought wrong then didn't you! Beth storms out of the house and heads for the beach Tony: Beth, wait up Tony catches up with her Tony: Beth, whats wrong? Beth: Just go away Rhys Beth looks at Tony realizing she just called him Rhys Tony:...you just called me Rhys Beth: I know, I didn't mean to say that it just came out, I don't know why. Tony: Oh I think you do, you think that i'm like him or that when we get married i'm going to break your heart just like he did, don't you? Beth doesn't say anything Tony: Go on just admit it! Beth: ....Its always in the back of my mind, that im going to ......lose you, and I don't want that to happen because I love you so much. Tony: Lose me, you couldn't even if you tried. I love you and thats never going to change Beth. Beth: Thats exactly what Rhys said before we got married, and I believed him. Tony: But im not Rhys, am I Beth: No Tony: Look at me Beth looks up at Tony Tony: When we first met I knew we were meant to be together. I new that whatever happened I wanted to be with you and even though there are going to be challenges along the way, as long as were together, we can overcome them no matter what. I'm compleatly different to Rhys and i'm really sorry I tried to pressurise you into a beach wedding Beth: I'm sorry I ran out on you like that, its just I was angry not at you but with Rhys for some reason for what he put me through and I just couldn't handle the thought of that happening again Tony: Well you won't have too, because I am going to be here for you know matter what, okay? Tony: Come here. They both hug Beth: Thank you so much, I really don't know what I would do without you Tony Tony: I'm not sure what you would do without me either. They laugh then kiss, and walk back to the hunter house. Matilda and Lucas are there Beth: Hi. Matilda: Hey...you look like you've been crying Beth: I just got a bit upset thats all Matilda: Do you want to talk about it? Beth: Ermm... maybe, just not now Lucas: I should probably go, i'll see you tomorrow Mattie Matilda: Bye Lucas Beth: Cya Tony enters the kitchen Matilda: quietly,Has Tony upset you or something? Tony: Do you want a cup of tea Beth? Beth...yeah thankyou, sorry what were you saying sweet? Matilda: I said has Tony upset you? Beth: unconvingly, ...No...well not exactly Matilda: What happened? Beth: I ran out on Tony when he suggested that we have a beach wedding like me and Rhy. It just brought back bad memories. Matilda: Why would he do that. I mean he knows how you feel about even hearing that name Tony enters the living room with a cup of tea for Beth Beth and Matilda look at Tony Tony: What? Matilda: How could you do it? Tony: Do what? Matilda: Suggest that mum and you have a beach wedding just like her and Rhys. Tony: You just said it, it was a suggestion, don’t blow it out of proportion Mattie. Beth looks at Tony Tony: So you've got a problem with me now as well, I mean its just great i'm getting married to a woman who thinks im like her ex-husband Beth: Tony! Tony: I'm gonna have a stepdaughter who hates me and both my sons don't even want me to get married! Beth looks totally shocked Matilda: Well you no what, you deserve it! Matilda storms out of the house. Tony: Matilda Tony walks towards the kitchen and leans on the worktop Beth: Did you mean what you just said? Tony: Well I just said it didn't I Beth: I was talking about what you said about Jack and Lucas not wanting you to get married Tony turns around and faces Beth Yony.....yes. They came to me last night and told me how they felt about me getting married. Beth: So what did they say? Tony: That they think I should stay single and that I shouldn't get married. Beth: Why do they feel like that, I thought they were happy with it? Tony: Me too. They think that me and you will break up again and be right back where we were before. Beth: ...right. Tony: I also think its got something to do with Kate. Beth: But she's been gone for a long time, they can't expect you not to get married. Tony: Exactly. But its a big change to go from no mother to having one. Beth: Yeah I guess...Tony. Tony: Yeah. Beth: Sorry, its nothing Tony: No, what were you gonna say? Beth: ....You do love me don't you? Tony: Beth...how can you ask that. You know I do. Beth: I love you too. They pull each other into a warm embrace Tony: I couldn't love you more even if I tried Beth. Me neither They both kiss Beth: Im sorry for everything Tony. Mattie will apoligize eventually. Tony: I hope so.

Chapter 18 The next day at the Hunter house, Matilda and Beth are sitting at the dining table eating breakfast. Matilda: Can you pass the juice over please? Beth: Corse. Matilda: Thanks. There is silence between them Matilda: Mum. Beth: Matilda. Matilda: You go first. Beth: Please don’t be angry at Tony or me. He didn’t mean to say that you hated him. Matilda: Well its true. He says his not like Rhys but he acts just like him. Matilda runs out of the Hunter House. Beth: Matilda! Tony enters Tony: What’s up with Mattie? Beth: She’s still annoyed at you about yesterday. Tony: Oh....maybe I should have a chat to her. Beth: I think she just want’s to be left alone right now. Tony: Yeah, your probably right. Its early evening. Matilda has returned and Tony and Beth are snuggled up on the couch watching a film Matilda sighs Beth: If you don’t want to watch the film you can go and do something else...the washing up for example Matilda: I wasn’t referring to the film I was talking about you two Tony: Tell me, what is it now?! Beth: Tony! Just let her say what she wants to say. Tony: Fine, she can. But not while i’m in the room listening to it Tony slams the front door shut, Matilda goes into her room. While Beth sits on the couch on her own. Someone knocks one the door, Beth goes to answer it. Beth: ...What an earth are you doing here?! Tony is inside the surf club Sally: Is something the matter? You don’t seem to be you usual cheerful self. Tony doesn't respond Sally: Tony? Tony: It’s just everything you know, the wedding, the kids...Beth. Sally: I understand how you feel about the first two things you mentioned there but why did you mention Beth? Tony: Its complicated. Sally: I’ve got two fully functioning ears you know Tony smiles warmly at Sally Back at the Hunter House Beth is sitting on the couch with her guest. Beth: Rhys, why are you here? Rhys: I just wanted to come and see how you are doing these days. Beth: But I don’t get it, why now? Rhys: Well I thought maybe we could get to know each other again, you know like old times. Beth: I think you're dreaming. Beth goes over into the kitchen. Rhys follows her. Rhys: I didn’t come here to cause trouble. Beth: You still haven’t answered the question I asked you, why are you here Rhys?

I'm not quite sure when I will update next but I have plenty of ideas for storylines and plots, so no need to worry I will return soon and fill the fic with more HotDadness .

I have had a serious writing block for about the last week!!...so I am very happy to say that the creative juices are flowing once again . I had loads of ideas but I couldn't think of what to write, it was soooo annoying! It must be awful when real scriptwriters get writers block! I really enjoyed writing this chapter . This chapter is just the start of a BIG showdown between Rhys and HotDad sooo enjoy ... Chapter 19 Rhys: I told you, i’m here to see if there is a chance we could get to know each other again. Beth: Ha not a chance. Beth gets up and goes over to the kitchen Rhys: I know the way I treated you was wrong and I have regreted it ever since but i’m here now so can’t we just try and at least be friends? Beth: You obviously haven’t noticed my engagement ring then? Rhys: Your engaged? Beth: Yep. Tony is the most amazing person and he treats me so much better than you did so you can forget about us being friends and just go back to Shelly. Rhys: Me and Shelly broke up. Beth: ...Oh. Back at the surf club Tony and Sally are talking about recent events Sally: So things must be pretty hectic with all the wedding plans? Tony: Yeah you could say that. I think Beth kind of wants to get married sooner rather than later. Sally: What makes you say that? Tony: Ah just the way she is organizing stuff like we are getting married tomorrow. Its just a bit overwelming sometimes you know. Sally: You can always come and talk to me Tony, about anything. Tony: Thanks Sal but i’ll be fine. Tony gets up from the wicker sofa and walks over to the bar to pay. Sally gets up too. Tony: Say hi to Brad for me when yo get the chance. Sally: Will do. Tony walks out the surf club Sally: Tony. Tony turns around Tony: Yeah? Sally: Everything will work out with you and Beth. They both smile at each other before walking out of the surf club Back at the Hunter House Beth and Rhys are in the kitchen Beth: Rhys, I’m sorry. Rhys: Yeah well, we left on good terms I suppose. Beth: What do you mean? Rhys: We knew it wasn't going to work out so we just separated and agreed to be friends. Beth: Right and now your back on my doorstep wanting me. I get it. Rhys: Beth, its not like that. Beth: Well thats how it appears to me! Rhys: I am not here to cause trouble i’m just here because I need somewhere to stay. Beth: Excuse me? Rhys: I just need somewhere to get my head together for a couple of days. Beth: And you want to stay here am I right?! Rhys: Well I was gonna ask if I could, yeah. Beth: You are out of your mind. Beth walks over to the living room and starts tidying up. Rhys starts following her around the room Rhys: Look, if you don’t want me here then i’ll go. Beth: I dont want you here so go! Rhys: Beth, don’t be like that. Beth: You said you would go if I didn’t want you here. Rhys: Please Beth. I wouldn’t be here if I wasn’t desperate. Beth: You know what? Fine. Stay here. I can't be bothered to argue with you right now. But your sleeping on the couch and its only for tonight until you find somewhere else to stay. Rhys: Thank you. Rhys smiles at Beth. Rhys moves into hug Beth but she pulls away slightly before hugging him too. Tony walks in the door. Tony: Hey i’m back. Beth and Rhys pull away from each other. Beth: ..hi... Tony: Sorry but who are you? Rhys: Err, Rhys mate...Beth’s ex husband. Tony: What?! What do you think your doing here? Tony walks over to Rhys Rhys: I needed somewhere to stay so I came here. Tony: Well I think you are going to need to find yourself a good phone book mate because you are not staying in my fiances house. Have you got that? Beth: Tony, you can’t do that! Rhys: So your Tony I take it? Tony: Yeah thats right and you can you can get out of here...NOW! Rhys: Mate, why are you so uptight? Tony: I am not your mate and I want you out of my fiances house. You think you can just barge in here and expect to be waited on hand and foot after everything you put Beth through? Beth: Tony, thats enough! Rhys: I know I’m probably not your favourite person in the world right now but I have just broken up with Shelly. Tony: Who’s Shelly? Beth: Shelly was his ex-wife before he married me. Tony: I'm sorry to hear that your love life is falling to pieces but you have got a nerve turning up here wanting to stay in Beths house you know that? Now you either leave or i’ll make you get out myself so what’s it gonna be?
