Here's a little teaser TONY: How is he? HUGH: To be honest, we won’t know until he wakes up. TONY: What does that mean? HUGH: Jack has fallen into a pretty serious coma- ALF: You’ve gotta be kidding me. MARTHA: Is he going to wake up? HUGH: Maybe. If so it can be days, weeks, months… Years even. [Tony looks pretty stressed as he brushes his hair back] ALF: So what about when he wakes up? Will everything be hunky dory? HUGH: We believe, due to the serious injuries to Jack’s skull, that there could be a chance of memory loss, brain damage. [Tony seems very teary as Martha seems shocked for words. Rachel walks out of surgery]

Drew Posted June 7, 2007 Report Posted June 7, 2007 Thanks Andy! Here's the 2nd chapter Previously in Summer Bay Ric threw a party which ended in shocks. Drew’s into drugs, Cassie was drugged, Belle invited strangers, oh, and Cassie was kidnapped in the bathroom after vomiting. Jack and Martha reunited (aww) yet their reunion was cut short when Jack was tragically ran over by Emanuel Gillian. Emanuel lied into getting into Irene’s home and while Jack’s life was left on the line (along with the suspense of Irene’s) an unexpected pair woke up in bed together. NOW EXT. THE MAIN ROAD – MORNING [Alf is walking up from the beach after fishing. He notices a body on the road, someone is already next to Jack] ALF: Good god. [Alf drops his fishing rod and runs towards Jack. As he gets closer, he notices it’s Jack] Jack! Mate, what happened!? STRANGER: I have no idea, I just found him like this! ALF: Have you called an ambulance? STRANGER: They’re on their way. [Alf bends down and wipes the blood away from his eyes] ALF: Hold on Jack, helps coming. INT. SUMMER BAY HOUSE / RIC’S ROOM – MORNING [Continued from before- Ric and Lucas are lying next to each other in bed] RIC: Mate, what the hell are you doing in my bed!? LUCAS: I don’t know. I thought you were Belle. RIC: You think Belle has a body like this? Why would you sleep with Belle anyway? Mate! Get out! [Lucas looks under the sheets and seems uncomfortable] LUCAS: No, you get out! RIC: Mate, it’s my bed! [Ric looks under the sheets] Thank god! [Ric gets out, he’s wearing boxers] This is so weird, I have no memory of what happened last night. Please tell me you’re wearing your boxers. [Lucas doesn’t look down] LUCAS: Ric… Can I have two minutes alone? RIC: You gotta be kidding me. [Ric laughs as he walks out of the room. Lucas looks under the sheets again, sitting up on the bed, he reaches for his jeans. Wearing his boxers, Lucas slides on his jeans] Can I come in now? LUCAS: In a minute! [Lucas begins to whisper to himself] Puppy’s are dying. Kitten’s are drowning. Come on, come on, get in my head! INT. THE HOSPITAL / EMERGENCY – MORNING [The trolley Jack is on is pushed through the doors. Alf runs behind him, Tony is waiting in the waiting area] TONY: Oh my god. HUGH: What’s his condition? ALF: You should of seen him lying there mate… I thought he was dead. TONY: How is he? HUGH: We’re gonna clear a lot of his mess up, then take a few scans to see if he has an internal injuries. TONY: But is he going to be okay? HUGH: We won’t know, we’re not so sure what his condition is. He’s responding to pain, so that’s a good sign. Just sit back Tony, we’ll do everything we can. [Hugh moves off with the nurses and Jack as Tony steps back] ALF: He’ll be fine mate. TONY: Oh, come on Alf! You saw the condition he’s in. He may be responding to pain, but for all we know he could be hanging on to his last thread… Where’d you find him? ALF: About a hundred meters away from the diner. TONY: It’s only seven o’clock. He had no board with him… What was he doing there that early? INT. CARAVAN PARK / VAN 15 – DAY [Cassie slowly opens up her eyes, lying in the bed, covered in sheets. She pulls her hair back and grunts, turning over to vomit. Staring at the floor she sees her top and skirt there. Then her underwear. Beginning to get very teary, she turns to the other side of the bed where she sees a ripped and scrunched up condom. Beginning to choke on her tears, Cassie continues to stare around the van] INT. SUMMER BAY HOUSE / LIVING AREA – DAY [Ric and Matilda are cleaning up the living area from the party last night] MATILDA: What time is Sally coming home? RIC: Soon, we need to finish cleaning up before she gets here, I told her the place wouldn’t get trashed… Where did you sleep last night? MATILDA: On the beach with Belle. RIC: Hey, is there something going on with Lucas and Belle again? MATILDA: Not that I know of… Why? RIC: No reason. [Ric continues to clean up as Cassie slowly walks into the room] Cas, where’ve you been? We’ve been worried. [Cassie slowly continues to walk towards the stairs] MATILDA: And Jules. He said you rushed out into the bathroom and that was the last time he saw you. [Cassie begins to walk up the stairs] Cas, what’s wrong? CASSIE: I just need to rest. [As Cassie enters her room, Ric and Matilda look at each other] RIC: Maybe you should go talk to her. MATILDA: I just think she needs a bit of time to herself… Maybe her and Jules broke up… So, what were you saying about Belle and Lucas? INT. THE HOSPITAL / EMRGENCY – DAY [Alf, Tony and Martha are sitting in the waiting area, all three of them are silent. Hugh walks out in his surgery uniform, looking serious] TONY: How is he? [Hugh smiles as he walks back into surgery, Rachel stands there] RACHEL: Guys, would it be okay if I talk to Martha for a minute? TONY: Yeah sure. [Tony tries to smile as he and Alf walk away, Martha wipes a tear away] MARTHA: Is everything okay? RACHEL: You tell me… Does he know? MARTHA: Does Jack know? [Rachel nods] No, I haven’t told him… Why? RACHEL: I saw him this morning. Just before his accident must of happened. Sneaking out of the flat… Did you two spend the night together? [Martha slowly nods] Are you two back together? MARTHA: No… We just had a bit of fun. We were talking and one thing led to another. RACHEL: And you didn’t tell him? [Rachel laughs, yet seems serious] MARTHA: I couldn’t tell him Rachel. We connected again like we haven’t in awhile. Our friendship would be back in square one if I ever told him I was pregnant. RACHEL: Well he’s going to find out sooner or later. MARTHA: That’s if there is a later for him. [Rachel sighs] RACHEL: Have you even told the father? MARTHA: No… I don’t want to tell him. I can’t tell him. RACHEL: He has a right to know Martha. MARTHA: This is my problem we’re dealing with Rachel, and right now I’m not in the state of mind to think about it. RACHEL: Hey, hey, hey! I’m sorry, okay! [Rachel hugs Martha] MARTHA: You’re right but… I need to tell him. [Martha then whispers to herself] I’ll tell him tonight. INT. SUMMER BAY HOUSE / CASSIE’S ROOM – SUNSET [Cassie is sitting on the window sill, crying. She begins to have flashbacks of last night. The man throwing her onto the caravan bed. The man beginning to kiss her as she lies unconscious. He begins to take off her clothes, then reaches for a condom. Ripping open the packet, he holds it in the air for a moment, then throws it on the bedside table. In the exact same position Cassie saw it this morning. Cassie, sitting on the window sill, jumps back in shock. Whispering] CASSIE: Oh god. INT. THE DINER / MAIN AREA – SUNSET [irene finishes serving a customer. She notices a familiar face walking in the door- Emanuel Gillian] IRENE: Hi love, how did everything with your car go? EMANUEL: Yeah, good thanks. I appreciate your help. [irene feels embarrassed] IRENE: It was no trouble at all. EMANUEL: Let me make it up to you, dinner tomorrow night? IRENE: Oh love, you don’t have to do that. EMANUEL: Please, I’m new around here… Someone has to give me the grand tour. [Emanuel slyly smiles] IRENE: There’s not much to see, I’m telling you that now. EMANUEL: Come on Irene, dinner, drinks… What do you say? IRENE: You’re a little naughty devil, you know? [irene laughs] EMANUEL: Is that a yes? IRENE: Pick me up at my joint, say seven? EMANUEL: I’ll be there. [irene smiles and walks into the kitchen] I’ll be there alright. INT. THE PAD / PORCH – NIGHT [There’s a knock at the door. Leah opens up the door] LEAH: Martha, hi. What are you doing here? [Martha is standing at the door] MARTHA: Leah… What are you doing here? Where’s Rachel? LEAH: I’m just planning a small surprise for Rachel and Hugh. God knows, they need it in their relationship at the moment. MARTHA: Oh… Okay. LEAH: Can I leave a message? MARTHA: Ugh, yeah sure… Can you let Hugh know that I dropped by? TBC + Will Hugh find out about Martha? Worse, will Rachel? + Will Jack wake up? + Emanuel’s targets in the Bay are revealed. What does he have in store for them? And why?
